Centrifugal speed control device on rotating electrical machines The invention relates to a centrifugal speed control device on rotating electrical machines, in particular small motors, with the arrangement of a fixed and a movable contact on a rotating support disk, the movable contact being arranged on a spring member, whose spring force can be changed.
Control devices of the type mentioned usually have a disk-shaped support body which is connected to the rotating motor shaft and is provided with contacts that are looped into the circuit of the electrical machine. Of these contacts, which form a pair of contacts, one is generally fixed and the other is movably arranged, the fixed contact being connected to the support body via a spring.
It is the object of the invention to create an arrangement for fine adjustment of the contacts relative to one another over the conventional adjustability and thus to increase the adjustment accuracy with respect to the speed to be regulated.
The invention is characterized in that the spring member is formed from two essentially parallel to each other, each with one end fixed to the support disc, leaf springs, one of which carries the 'movable contact and whose spring force is adjustable relative to each other with the help of an actuator.
The invention will be explained with reference to a preferred embodiment shown schematically in the figures. The figures show: FIG. 1 a side view of a universal motor with a centrifugal contact regulator, FIG. 2 a side view of the centrifugal contact regulator according to FIG. 1 on a larger scale, FIG. 3 a plan view of the centrifugal contact regulator according to FIG. 2 on the same scale, 4 a circuit diagram.
In the figures, 10 is the housing of a universal motor for driving an office machine, e.g. B. a calculating machine or a cash register, called whose speed must be controlled due to the intermittent load. An armature 11, a stator 12 and excitation windings 13 and 14 are arranged in the housing in a known manner. With the motor shaft 15 is a centrifugal force contact regulator, which is designated in its entirety by 16, connected. A manual switch 17 is used to switch the motor on and off. The connection terminals of the motor are marked 18 and the base plate on which the entire unit is arranged is marked 19.
With the machine to be driven, the motor is connected by means of a coupling 20 made of insulating material.
The support body 21 of the centrifugal contact regulator 16, which is connected to the motor shaft 15, consists of two metal plates 22 and 23, between which a non-conductor 24, consisting of a mica plate or the like, lies. The outer metal plate 23 is provided with a sleeve 27 against which the carbon brush 25 rests, while the carbon brush 26 rests directly on the inner metal plate 22. An insulating sleeve 29 is arranged between the sleeve 27 and a hub 28 inserted therein, and an insulating ring (not shown) is arranged between the outer metal plate 23 and a fastening nut 30 for the hub 28.
On the outer metal plate 23 a Hal sion 32 is attached, which receives a screw 33 with its thread, one end of which forms a contact surface 34. The screw is provided with a lock nut 35 by means of which it can be fixed in the correct position with respect to the bracket 32. When the contact is closed, a counter-contact surface 36 rests against the contact surface 34 and is conductively connected to the metal plate 22 forming the inner slip ring with the aid of a spring member formed from two leaf springs 37 and 38. The resulting spring force of the leaf springs 37 and 38 is adjustable, for which purpose an adjusting screw 45 acting between these leaf springs is arranged. Instead of the adjusting screw, an eccentric could also be provided.
As FIG. 3 shows, the thread of the adjusting screw penetrates one leaf spring 37 and its unslotted end rests against the second leaf spring 38, so that the distance between the leaf springs can be adjusted. To secure against rotation with respect to the leaf spring 37, the adjusting screw 45 can be provided with a counter device not shown in the figures. A major advantage of the arrangement shown is that it enables fine adjustment without the contact surfaces having to be rotated against each other.
This eliminates the need to grind the spark roots that have formed on the contact surfaces after a more or less long operating period in a line with one another and with the contact surfaces before fine-tuning.
The metal plates 22 and 23 are connected to one another with the aid of hollow rivets 39 and insulating sleeves 40 surrounding them. On the support plate, a ceramic resistance body 41 is arranged, wel cher against the inner metal plate 22 with the aid of a leaf spring 44 acting against a cooling flange 43, which support 42 extends between two fastening.
