Device for monitoring an AC-fed protection and control arrangement with three galvanically coupled lines The object of the invention is a device for monitoring an AC-fed protection or control arrangement with three galvanically coupled lines.
The device can preferably be used for line differential protection with three lines, of which the two outer ones connect the secondary windings of the feeding converters, in particular mixed converters, and the third line is a diagonal connection between these two converters, which contains the differential protection relay. It can also be used for resolver systems or the like.
The object of the invention is a permanent monitoring of the AC-fed lines for short circuits and interruptions with simple means.
The solution is that a direct current source is inserted at one end of the line to control the lines in the differential current conductor and the two outer lines each contain a DC relay that actuates a signaling circuit and a resistor at two opposite ends of the outer lines, wherein short-circuit paths for alternating currents are assigned to the direct current source, the direct current relays and the resistors.
The resistance values of the resistors can be large compared to those of the direct current relays. This firstly results in a low temperature dependency of the entire arrangement and, secondly, in the event of a short circuit between the two outer lines, a large disturbance of the equilibrium of the two currents in the outer lines. The invention is explained in more detail with reference to an embodiment shown in the drawing voltage for use in line differential protection.
In Fig. 1 an embodiment of the inven tion is shown. The network to be fed and the primary windings of the mixer converter MW connected to the network are not shown because this circuit is known per se and is not the subject of the invention. The secondary windings of the two mixer converters MW arranged in the separate stations A and B are connected to one another in a manner known per se by auxiliary wires 1 and 3. The differential protection relays D, which are shown here as a current relay, are located in the pilot wire 2, which forms the diagonal connection between the two auxiliary converters.
The circuit of the differential protection relays can also be stabilized in a manner known per se by providing a summation converter (not shown) in lines 1 and 3 and a differential converter (not shown) in pilot wire 2 at both ends of the same, each differential converter is connected with its one end to the center taps of the assigned summation converter.
The differential protection relays can be fed in a manner known per se from the secondary windings of the summation and differential converters via rectifiers.
According to the invention, a direct current source Q is inserted into the pilot wire 2 in station A to monitor the proper condition of the pilot wires 1 to 3, and two direct current relays ü1 and ü3 are also inserted into the two outer pilot wires in station B; In addition, those on the outer pilot wires 1 and 3 are connected via resistors R1 and R3 in such a way that one resistor is in station B and the other in station A. In the exemplary embodiment, the resistance values of the resistors are large compared to the resistance values of the direct current relays and the pilot wires.
So that the response of the differential protection can not be impaired by the monitoring elements mentioned, the DC relay, the DC source and the resistors are bridged by capacitors C. The monitoring relays can be designed as damped moving coil relays or polarized relays with two fixed contact parts that are conductively connected to one another. In Fig. 4 this is shown on the basis of a possible circuit for both monitoring relays.
The direct current source Q, the resistors R1 and R, and the resistance values of the auxiliary wires 1 and 3, as well as the monitoring relays ü1 and Ü3 are advantageously designed so that when the auxiliary wires are in good condition, a direct current flows through the monitoring relay, which contacts their movable contact arms holds a middle position.
If an upper limit value of the relay current is exceeded, the contact arm Ü "or both comes into contact with the fixed contact part ah, or nk; if the value falls below a certain lower limit value, however, it comes into contact with the normally closed contact parts rk, and rk ".
In FIGS. 2 and 3, the behavior of the new device in the event of wire breakage and short circuit is explained in more detail.
The two contact arms ü, and 14 are connected to one another, as are the stationary working contact parts; they are inserted together in a signal circuit MK. When the pilot wires are in a fault-free state, both contact arms assume their central position and keep the signaling circuit interrupted. When one or both monitoring relays respond or drop out, the circuit is closed and the existing error is displayed.
If, as shown in FIG. 2, there is a short circuit K between the two pilot wires 1 and 2, then the circuit shown in FIG. 1 is used to form the circuit shown, the monitoring relay ü1 not being shown as a result of its in station B. arranged resistor R1 is practically currentless and brings its contact arm L11 into the rest position shown in Fig. 4 in the dropped state. In contrast, the current flowing through the relay Ü3 has risen above the upper limit value and therefore makes it respond,
so that it brings a contact arm ii "into the working position, ie in connection with the working contact part ak ..; the signaling circuit MK is thus closed twice. The increase in the relay current in the monitoring relay Ü3 above the upper limit value is possible because the resistors R, and R3 do not come into effect in the event of this error.
In Fig. 3, the interruption of the pilot wire 1 is assumed to be the fault, resulting in the circuit shown. In this case, the monitoring relay ü will definitely drop out and thus the signaling circuit will be closed, even if the monitoring relay Ü3 may not respond. If the auxiliary wires 2 or 3 are interrupted, the monitoring device responds accordingly.
Due to the arrangement of the capacitors, the differential protection device is in no way impaired by the monitoring device arranged according to the invention if a network fault occurs.
A rectifier device which is fed from the local network or the voltage converters and only needs to have a low power can be provided as the direct current source Q. There is no need for voltage stabilization. A delay in the triggering of the signal circuit can be provided so that when a mains-fed rectifier device is used, in the event of a network short circuit due to a breakdown or drop in the mains voltage, an unintentional triggering of the signaling circuit is prevented.
For example, such a response delay can be achieved by a timing relay that actuates the signaling circuit, depending on the monitoring relay.
The direct current that can be drawn from the direct current source Q is so small that the premagnetization of the transducers that occurs through it has no influence on the operation of the differential protection. For example, the direct current of the source Q is 4 mA in the pilot wire 2 when the circuit is in the correct state, with a resistance of the monitoring relays of, for example, 200 ohms each and a resistance of, for example, 800 ohms for the resistors R and R, respectively is seen.
This low current cannot in any way have an unfavorable effect on the mixer converters, which are constantly fed by a significantly higher alternating current, for example 100 mA at 50 Hz and rated current, when the network is not disturbed. When said direct current z. B. 4 mA in the middle pilot wire when the same is in perfect condition, the monitoring relays are designed so that they keep their contact arms in the middle position in the current range of example, 1 to 3 mA.
Of course, relays can be used in place of the above-mentioned relay Ü also relays whose contacts are either in the rest or in the working position, in which case ge separate circuits can be provided for each relay, or in a single signal circuit, the relay contacts in series are arranged with this. It is only essential that the pilot wires are DC voltage and it is ensured that this DC voltage does not affect the operation of the differential protection.
The AC voltage taken from the local network or the voltage converters to generate the DC voltage used for monitoring can be used to send desired messages from the unoccupied substation to the occupied station in which the monitoring relays are installed. If the message pilot wires disturbed is very delayed, but the monitoring relays themselves move without delay, they can be used to transmit pulse telegrams, which are automatically issued in a known manner by the unattended station by pressing the voltage of the DC voltage source Q.
The time of the pulse telegrams must be shorter than the delay time of the fault message so that the transmission of a pulse message does not itself lead to a fault message.
For this purpose, in a manner not shown, for. B. to provide an intermediate relay between the two receiving relay and the delay causing the time relay. This intermediate relay then actuates the timing relay with a first contact, for example, and the pulse telegram is sent to a receiver with a second contact.
