Fig. 1 das Gerät in schaubildlicher Seitenansicht,
Device for attaching closure sleeves with a loop to packing bags
The invention relates to a device for attaching closure loops provided with a closure sleeve to packing bags made of plastic film or the like.
Such bag closures are known per se.
The closure sleeve sits on a loop that is slipped over the gathered end of the packing bag, whereupon the end of the bag is bent over the loop and the loop with the other end is pulled out of the closure sleeve, whereby the gathered end of the bag is firmly clamped into the closure sleeve penetrates.
It is also known to use a tubular holder to close packing bags with a rubber band, which at the free end of the tube carries the rubber band to be stripped onto the bag neck and inside which the gathered bag end can be inserted by means of a hook so that the bag neck is bent whereupon the elastic band can be slipped onto the part of the bag neck protruding from the holder.
The device according to the invention is intended to simplify the handling of the aforementioned closures provided with a closure sleeve and to facilitate and accelerate their uniform attachment to a large number of packing bags. This is achieved according to the invention in that the tubular holder is designed as a horizontal, height-adjustable support arm attached to a stand for receiving several closure parts, which has a rounded, downwardly directed tubular end which is partially cut out in the longitudinal direction to form a beak and carries a clamping spring in the inner surface of the spout for clamping the gathered bag neck.
Due to the height adjustability of the support arm on the stand, the beak of the device can be adapted to the respective length of the bag to be closed in such a way that the clamping spring located in the beak always grips the gathered end of the bag at a certain distance from the opening edge, so that it can be moved and pulled down The loop attached to the neck of the bag along the support arm always closes the bag at the same height, whereby after the loop has been brought down, one only needs to pull on the sleeve and pull the gathered end of the bag out of the clamping spring to complete the closure.
The device makes it unnecessary to push the gathered neck of the bag through the loop by hand, so that the manual work required for attaching the closures is simplified, the attachment is accelerated and, moreover, a uniform appearance of the bags provided with the closures is achieved.
In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, the support arm provided with the angled holder beak sits releasably in a holder clamp made of two crossing clamping sleeves, one of which can be moved and clamped along a vertical holder column and the other takes up the round pin of the support arm and one having a clamping screw provided with a handle lever. In this embodiment, the loops provided with the closure sleeves can be pushed onto the support arm from the end pin of the support arm. In addition, the support arm can then, if necessary, be set in an inclined position with its holder beak, in which the operator can insert the gathered bag end particularly easily and conveniently into the clamping spring of the holder beak.
The drawing shows an example of the implementation of the device according to the invention, namely show:
1 shows the device in a diagrammatic side view,
FIG. 2 shows a front view of the holder beak in longitudinal section in the direction of arrow A in FIG. 1, approximately on a natural scale,
3 shows a view of the holder beak from below in the direction of arrow B in FIGS. 1 and
4 shows a side view of the open end of the holder spout with a bag neck clamped in the clamping spring.
The stand of the device has a base plate 1 and a round rod 2 attached to it, on which a clamping piece 3 with a sliding fit can be displaced, rotated and fixed with a clamping screw, which carries a wing head 4. The clamping piece 3 consists of two intersecting sleeves 5, 6, the latter of which receives the round pin 7 of a horizontal support arm 8 and has a clamping screw 9 which is provided with a handle-like lever 10 to clamp the support arm.
The support arm 8 consists of a round rod or a tube which is angled at its free end with a rounding 11 and has a cutout 12 which delimits a hollow, beak-like extension 13. A horizontally lying clamping spring 14 is riveted to a pin 15 or fastened in some other way on the inner surface of this beak. The clamping spring 14 consists of a U-shaped bent ribbon spring which is bent back with its leg ends 16 from the outside to the leg webs and thereby additionally stiffens the leg webs.
To handle the device, you can first adjust the support arm 8 with the help of the wing screw 4 to a height of the beak 13 adapted to the bag length, so that the clamping spring 14 is at a desired distance from the opening edge of the filled bag standing on the base. You can now remove the support arm 8 from the stand by loosening the clamping screw 9 and push a plurality of loops 17 with the locking sleeves 18 attached to them from the pin 7 onto the support arm. The support arm is then clamped again with its pin 7 on the clamping sleeve 6, the support arm optionally being able to be set with its beak 13 in an inclined position with respect to the stand rod 2.
After this preparation of the device one then brings the packing bags to be closed individually into the area of the spout 13, gathers the neck of the bag and pushes it into the clamping spring 14, then slips a loop 17 from the support arm 8 over the spout 13 of the holder down onto the Bag neck and brings the sleeve 18 by sliding it along the loop
17 at the neck of the bag to the system. Then pull the gathered bag neck out of the clamping spring
14 and pulls the sleeve 18 tightly on the bag, the gathered neck of the bag being bent over and penetrating the sleeve 18 while being firmly clamped.
The device according to the invention is not limited to the details of the embodiment described here. The stand column can for example consist of two sliding flat parts and the support arm 8 can be rigidly attached to the stand when the loops 17 with the sleeves 18 are pushed onto the support arm from the beak 13.
