Device for guiding electrical lines through a wall For the purpose of a moisture-proof and tension-relieving introduction of lines and cables into electrical devices and apparatus, gland-type screw connections are usually used.
These consist mainly of a metal or plastic socket with internal thread, a pressure nipple made of the same material with external thread and an elastic, rubber-like, ring-shaped sealing ring (pressing element), the diameter of which is reduced by tightening the pressure nipple, whereby the cable is held or The implementation is sealed against moisture.
To achieve a strain relief and seal against moisture with this type of cable entry, the respective cable diameter adapted sealing rings must be used, which is often not taken into account during assembly. Even if correctly dimensioned sealing rings are used, this type of cable entry does not provide sufficient strain relief for the cable, especially if its insulating material is made of smooth thermoplastic material.
The tight clamping of the cable requires a suitable tool (open-ended wrench) when using the mentioned cable entry, the handling of which proves to be awkward or impossible, especially in places that are difficult to access. The nipples are often tightened with the bare hand, with neither strain relief nor a sufficient moisture seal being achieved. For example, in order to obtain good accessibility, the cable entries must be kept at a sufficient distance from one another, which is often disadvantageous from a structural point of view.
The aforementioned disadvantages are avoided according to the invention in that at least one locking disk and at least one sealing disk, each with at least one opening for an electrical line, are arranged in a sleeve fastened to the wall.
In the accompanying drawing, an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown, namely: Fig. 1 is a longitudinal section through the device without a cable inserted into the same, Fig. 2 is the same longitudinal section with a cable passed through the device, Fig. 3 is a longitudinal section with the sleeve effecting the release of the cable in the release position and FIG. 4 is a plan view of a locking disk.
In the drawing, 1 designates a sleeve, one end of which is provided with an external thread 5 with which it can be attached to a wall of an electrical apparatus or device. A locking disk 2 and a sealing disk 4 lie one above the other in an annular groove 6 of the sleeve 1. The locking disk 2 consists of electrically insulating material and is provided with prongs 8 directed towards the central opening 7 (see FIG. 4). The sealing washer 4 is made of elastic material, for. B. rubber or plastic. It rests directly on the locking disk 2 and has the aim of loading to counteract an evasion of the prongs 8 or to press the same against the cable 9.
In a further annular groove 10 of the sleeve 1, a sleeve 3 with its annular flange 11 is guided displaceably in the longitudinal direction of the sleeve 1. The sleeve 3 is normally in the position shown in FIGS.
To the cable 9 by means of the device shown before through a wall, for. B. an electrical device or apparatus, it is sufficient to push the same in the direction of the arrow in FIG. 2 through the opening 7 of the discs 2, 4. Any additional manipulations or auxiliary devices are not required.
The prongs 8 press against the outer wall of the cable due to the inherent elasticity of the insulating material from which the disk 2 consists, and this effect is further supported by the fact that the rubber disk 4, which is bent out as shown in FIG. 2, in turn opens the prongs 8 presses. While the locking disk 2 relieves the strain on the cable 9, the tight fit of the disk 4 on the cable results in a perfect seal against moisture.
In order to be able to pull out the cable 9 against the direction of the arrow in FIG. 2, it is sufficient to press the release sleeve 3 upwards against the locking disk 2 in the direction of the arrow in FIG. As a result, the prongs 8 are lifted from the cable circumference and at the same time the opening of the sealing washer 4 is also moved away from the cable. The latter is released and can move freely in both longitudinal directions.
While the illustrated embodiment shows only one locking and sealing washer 2 and 4, which are directly above one another, several of these could also be provided. It is also conceivable to provide more than one opening 7 in the mentioned panes in order to be able to lead through several cables or the like.
The device described differs advantageously from the usual cable entries described above in that strain relief and a moisture seal are achieved by pushing the cable through the cable entry without additional work. This eliminates the need to use a tool, which, among other things, an arrangement of Kabelein guides on apparatus at a minimal distance he allows. In addition, strain relief and moisture sealing is ensured for cables of different diameters without replacing individual elements.
