Le dessin annexé représente, à titre d'exemple, une forme d'exécution du dispositif selon l'invention. Dans ce dessin: la fig. 1 représente le cadran d'un timer indiquant le cycle de travail choisi; la fig. 2 une charte schématique du tuner; la fig. 3 un schéma du montage électrique;
On remarquera (fig.
Electromechanical control device of a washing machine The present invention relates to an electromechanical control device of a washing machine, at least partially automatic, comprising a rotary control member which actuates cams associated with contacts for the closing or opening of the circuits ensuring the various functions of the machine, said rotary control member being driven automatically at constant speed and its complete rotation corresponding to an operating cycle for which the heating time is maximum, said device being characterized in that it is associated with an index moving in front of an indicator disc during the automatic rotation of the control member, but whose starting position, chosen as a function of the temperature to be reached,
determines the heating time and can be selected manually from among n positions distributed over a sector of the indicator disc for which, on the one hand, the machine's drum drive motor is controlled at the washing rate, and, on the other hand On the other hand, the heating circuit is in service, the deactivation of the latter being controlled automatically when the index driven by the rotary control member reaches the end of the offending sector, so that the heating time can be n different values.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the device according to the invention. In this drawing: fig. 1 represents the dial of a timer indicating the selected work cycle; fig. 2 a schematic charter of the tuner; fig. 3 a diagram of the electrical assembly;
figs. <I> 4, 4a, 4b </I> and 4c of the respective diagrams of four washing cycles applied to various cases of laundry to be treated and FIG. 5 a diagram of the control pediment. Timer 1 with index 2 conventionally rotating around axis 3 has a circular dial divided into sixty graduations of 6 each, numbered five by five in Figures 1 and 2.
It drives, via the motor T (see fig. 3) cams which control, according to known arrangements and according to a determined program (see fig. 2), the closing or opening of the contacts. CI, CII, CIII, CIV, CV, CVI, CVII. The closing of these contacts controls the commissioning of the draining device PV., Of the heating device CH., Of the motor T itself, and controls the operation of the water valve VE. under the control of the high level PH or low level PB pressure switch.
The circuits shown in fig. 3 also include a device for reversing the direction of travel I which, by the play of its associated contacts 11 and 12, controls the permutation of the supply phases of the motor M, which allows its rotation in one direction or in the opposite direction. other; a thermostat contact Th is, moreover, associated with the heating device and, for safety reasons, places the operation of the latter under the control of the low level pressure switch PB.
Fig. 5 shows the thermostat Th adjustment button 4; the bleach switch 5 and the washing-heating situation display <B> 6 </B>, all on the control front panel F.
The sixty timer graduations are distributed as follows (see fig. 1, 2 and 3): Sector a (g1): complete stop of the machine; the cam contacts are in the position shown in fig. 3. Single-control switches C1, C2, C3, C4 are off. Sector P (g2 to g5): soaking with bubbling. The user has put switches C1, C2, C3, C4 in the wash position (8 fig. 3) and brought the timer index button to graduation 2.
As a result, the motor M is powered by the intermediary of switches C1, C2 and C3 (see fig. 3) and the cam contacts CIII, CV and CVI are closed (see fig. 2).
The timer motor T and the inverter device I are supplied in parallel via Cl, CV, CIII, C2 and the timer runs; simultaneously, the commissioning of the water valve VE is controlled by Cl, CV, CVI, the high level pressure switch contact PH and C2; this circuit is interrupted by opening in PH when the high level is reached.
With the motor T running, when the timer index reaches the graduation g5, the cam contact CI closes, which activates the PV drain device. With the motor T still supplied (CIII and CV closed), the index reaches graduation 6 for which the timer stops, no cam contact being closed in this position. This stop (y) is used for the introduction of detergents and the choice of the washing temperature to be reached depending on the laundry to be treated.
This temperature being a function of the heating time, and the sector 8 (fig. 1) representing the course of the timer which corresponds to the maximum heating time; the user can choose the starting position and, in the example shown, the choice relates to three starting positions, A (graduation 7), B (graduation 20) and C (graduation 30); we will come back to these dry-matized variants in FIGS. <I> 4, 4a, 4b, 4c. </I>
It will be noted (fig. 2 and 3) that the heating device is put into service by closing the cam contact CII from scale 8 to scale 39. The temperature reached is therefore a function, on the one hand, of the position. starting point, on the other hand, the speed of rotation of the Limer.
The timer driving motor T is supplied via the cam contacts CIII and CV as before, and the operation of the heating device CH, controlled as has been said by the cam CII, is placed under the dependence of the PB contact of the low level pressure switch, in the high position (fig. 3) when the water level is suitable, and of the thermostat contact Th set so as to cut the circuit when the maximum admissible temperature is reached. The motor M is driven, during this time, at the washing rate by means of contacts II, 12, of the inverter device I supplied in parallel with the Limer T motor.
When the timer reaches graduation 40, the heating circuit is cut off (opening in CII - see fig. 2), as is the supply to the water valve (opening in CVII) and the drain device is switched on. powered by closing of the CI cam contact.
RI sector -. first rinse; motor T is always supplied by closure with CIII and CV, (graduation 42). The water valve is supplied and the tank is filled to low level by closing in CVII. On the next two graduations (43, 44) the emptying device is supplied (IC closure).
Sector s (graduation 45). This position can be taken advantage of by the user for the introduction of bleach. It suffices to open contact 5 (fig. 3 and 5) to cut off the power supply to the timer motor T, then placed under the control of the CIV cam contact (fig. 2 and 3). The user can also order at this time a first spinning of the treated laundry; it then places the switches C1, C2, C3, C4 in the position shown at E (fig. 3). The motor M then runs at a suitable speed and the PV drain device is switched on by closing at C4.
Sector R2, R3, R4, R5: successive rinses with bubbling and emptying, the first at low level (closing in CVII), the following at high level (closing in CVI) from the 46th to the 60th graduation up to the final stop on graduation 1. The timer will have completed its complete revolution in 75 minutes.
If we return to the examination of Figures 4, 4a, 4b and 4c, we see that each of them corresponds to the washing of a different laundry: FIG. 4 shows the washing of a moderately soiled plain white laundry, or heavily soiled colourfast laundry. The cycle starts the washing proper with heating from the 7th graduation A. For white laundry, treated at a temperature of 100 Cm, there will be optional bleaching at the 45th graduation, by means of switch 5 (CIV carne). For colored laundry, of course, there will be no bleach treatment, and the temperature will only be 60 C.
Fig. 4a shows the washing of heavily soiled white laundry or mechanics' bruises. In this case, there will be a pre-wash 8 at 600C from the 30th graduation; i.e. from C, then a stop in s for the end of the prewash, an S wash at 100 C from the 7th graduation, i.e. from A, an optional stop e for spinning or bleaching, finally rinses R2 to R5 until the stop for final spinning at the 60th graduation.
Fig. 4b shows the application of the cycle to the wash of a delicate white laundry (at 60 C) or a lightly soiled color-colored laundry (at 60 C) or a non-guaranteed colored laundry (at 40'Q : in these three cases, washing with heating will only start in B (20th graduation) and will be followed by rinses R2 to R5 without first spinning or bleaching, the final spinning occurring at the end of the cycle.
Finally, fig. 4c shows the cases of washing nylon or poplin on the one hand, woolens or silk on the other; the temperature, in all cases, will not exceed 40 C. The washing does not begin until the 30th graduation, in C, and will be followed by rinsing R2 to R5 without bleach in the case of nylons and poplin. Washing can be stopped at the optional stop s in the case of delicate woolens in order to allow them to be extracted from the machine and rinsed by hand in still water. The device described makes it possible to set the desired period of heating times at a lower temperature from different points of the arc of a circle.
The essential result of this manual combination is the elimination of timer malfunctions in the 90 to 100 range, faults frequently encountered in devices used heretofore.
The device has other advantages: a) It becomes possible to perform effective rinses without intermediate spinning, which is replaced by prolonged bubbling of the laundry after the washing liquid has been drained: the subsequent stirring of the laundry eliminates the water rinse with the remaining dirt, which is prevented from sticking to the fibers of the laundry being treated. This elimination of any intermediate spinning solves the well-known problem posed by the drawbacks inherent in the applications of the spin speeds in washing machines (vibrations and displacements), drawbacks fought until now by costly, cumbersome and costly solutions brantes, suspension, ballast and shock absorbers.
b) The control of the final spinning is left to the initiative of the user, who puts it into play manually, because this spinning, which is not always essential, must in any case be of short duration - approximately five minutes. The machine equipped according to the invention washes, heats, rinses, empties and stops automatically, which allows it to retain its fully automatic control of small size and low cost price, as described, in particular in Swiss patent N 377771.
It will be noted, according to the embodiment diagram fig.3 and the operating chart of the timer cams fig. 2, that the heating period inscribed on the figurative sector is controlled by the closing time of cam CII under the control of the thermostat contacts Th and of the low level pressure switch PB (the switches C1 and C2 being in the position shown at the top of Fig. 3).
The role of the thermostat contact Th is purely to control and never to control, as is conventional in automatic washing machine control installations; the maximum heating time being determined solely by the speed of rotation of the tuner and by the length of the sector, the Th contact is provided only as a safety measure to possibly cut the heating circuit if the temperature is too high.
It will also be noted that during the automatic operating cycle entered between positions 1 to 60 of the timer chart, the drive motor M, when it is powered, is always supplied via the contacts I1. and 12 of the inverter motor 1, even during the rinsing operations RI, R2, R3, R4 and R5, which corresponds to successive rinses with bubbling. The spinning operation, as previously mentioned, is left to the initiative of the user at the end of the automatic cycle (operation of the switch 6 which causes the closing of the contacts C1 to C4 according to the positions shown in E above. of Fig. 3.
Finally, the operation of contact 5 (bleaching) causes, when said contact is open, and when the timer reaches position 45, the stop of the timer, the circuit of the latter being placed in this position depending on the contact. of CIV cam.
