Clamping device The subject of the invention is a Spannvorrich device with a radial, compressible or expandable collet, which rests with a conical surface on a corresponding mating surface of a body, and with a collet to act on the collet, coaxial thrust organ, characterized in that this thrust member is designed as working in a longitudinal bore of the body, the piston and that means are available to apply working fluid under pressure to this piston.
The accompanying drawing shows an embodiment of the invention designed as a chuck.
FIG. 1 is a longitudinal section, and FIG. 2 is a cross section along the line II-II of FIG. 1.
The chuck shown has a body 1, the shaft part la of which is designed as usual, that is to say with an outer cone 2 and a threaded hole 3 Ge is provided. In the front body part 4, which also includes a screwed-on cap 5, there is a central cylindrical bore 6 in which a cup-shaped, equipped with a sealing ring 15 piston 7 works, the jacket of which has a forward conical widening inner surface. The cap 5 has a conical widening towards the rear, central through hole. On the two conical surfaces of the parts 5 and 7, the correspondingly conical sections of the outer surface of a collet 8, which is provided in the usual manner with longitudinal slots 9, which extend alternately to the front and rear end face.
The bore 6 is connected via a recess 10 with a radial blind bore 11 in connec tion, the inner part of which is provided with an internal thread. In the latter, the shaft of an offset part 12 is screwed, the head of which is provided with a hexagon socket with a sealing ring 13. A channel 14 in the shaft opens radially in front of the head into the further, smooth-walled part of the blind bore 11. The part 12 thus acts as a displacement piston, through the inward screwing of which working fluid, with which the spaces 10, 11, 14 are filled, is pressed against the bottom of the piston 7. This then acts as a thrust organ on the pliers 8, which is thereby put into action in a manner known per se.
A rotation of the piston 7 about its longitudinal axis is prevented by the fact that a projection 7a present on it engages in the recess 10.
The body could consist of part of a work piece or tool support spindle and the part 12 could be, for. B. extend coaxially to the axis of this body, its head would have to be accessible through a recess.
