Zurichtband zum Hinterlegen der aus Bandstahl gefertigten Messer von Werkzeugen für das Stanzen und /oder Prägen von Karton und dergleichen Die Erfindung betrifft ein Zurichtband zum Hin terlegen der aus Bandstahl gefertigten Messer von Werkzeugen für das Stanzen und/oder Prägen von Karton und dergleichen.
Ein Abschnitt eines solchen bestens bekannten Werkzeuges ist in Fig. 1 perspektivisch und teilweise im Schnitt dargestellt, wobei mit 1 eine meistens aus Sperrholz bestehende Pressplatte, mit 2 die aus Band stahl gefertigten Messer und mit 3 die auf beiden Seiten jedes herausragenden Messers angeordneten, z. B. aus Schaumstoff bestehenden Leisten bezeichnet sind, die nach vorgenommenem Schnitt den Karton von den Messern ablösen. Auf der Rückseite der Platte 1 (oben in Fig. 1) sind die Messerränder mit der Plattenfläche bündig.
Beim Arbeiten mit solchen Werkzeugen zeigt es sich oft, dass nicht alle Messer gleich tief schneiden. In solchen Fällen behalf man sich bisher damit, einen dünnen Streifen 4 aus Papierzelluloid oder derglei chen Kunststoff auf die Plattenrückseite zu kleben, so dass er den Rücken des zu wenig tief schneidenden Messers oder Messerabschnittes überdeckt. Für eine geringe Anzahl von Schnitten hat diese Massnahme genügt, weil eine Zeitlang der Streifen 4 das Messer mit seinem schneidenden Teil etwas aus der Platte herauszudrücken vermag. Der Erfolg ist von kurzer Dauer, weil selbst der stumpfe Messerrücken einen aus weichem Material bestehenden Streifen ausein- anderzuquetschen vermag.
Die Erfindung verfolgt den Zweck, dem Arbeiter ein Zurichtband als bequem zu handhabendes, dauernde Abhilfe schaffendes Hilfsmittel zur Verfü gung zu stellen. Erfindungsgemäss weist das Zuricht- band ein gehärtetes Stahlband mit einer Dicke von einigen Hundertstelsmillimetern auf, das auf einer Seite längs den je ungefähr einen Drittel seiner Breite ein- nehmenden Randzonen mit einer Selbstklebeschicht versehen ist.
Fig. 2 der beiliegenden Zeichnung stellt ein Aus führungsbeispiel des Erfindungsgegenstandes perspek tivisch dar.
Das in Fig. 2 gesamthaft mit A bezeichnete Zu- richtband weist ein gehärtetes Stahlband 5 auf, das eine Breite von z. B. 8 mm und eine Dicke von z. B. 0,04 mm hat. Auf der einen Seite ist dieses Stahlband auf seiner ganzen Länge längs den beiden je ungefähr einen Drittel seiner Breite einnehmenden Randzonen mit einer Selbstklebeschicht versehen, wie bei 5a und 5b angedeutet. Die übrigbleibende Mittelzone 5c ist blank belassen.
Das Zurichtband A weist ferner einen auf die mit den Klebestoffzonen 5a, 5b versehene Seite aufgelegten, leicht ablösbaren Schutzstreifen 6 auf, der aus einem den Klebestoff nicht aufnehmen den Kunststoff, wie z. B. Polyvinylchlorid, besteht und zweckmässig eine eingeprägte Rasterung besitzt. Dieser Schutzstreifen 6 ist breiter als das Stahlband 5 und ragt an beiden Rändern um beispielsweise 2 mm über dieses heraus, damit er leicht gefasst werden kann.
Für die Lagerung, den Verkauf und das Aufbe wahren in der Werkstatt ist das Zurichtband A in einer Länge von einigen Metern zu einem Wickel geformt in einer Kartonschachtel B versorgt, die an einer Schmalkante einen Durchlassschlitz hat, durch den das freie Wickelende herausgeführt ist. Es kann dann bei Bedarf der benötigte Längenabschnitt aus der Schachtel herausgezogen und mit einer Schere vom Wickel abgeschnitten werden. Vom Abschnitt wird dann der Schutzstreifen abgezogen und das Stahlband wird an der gewollten Stelle der Werk zeugrückseite aufgeklebt wie bis anhin der Streifen 4.
Beim Arbeiten wird dann das Stahlband von selbst um seine Dicke in das Holz der Platte 1 eingedrückt, der von ihm gestützte Messerabschnitt also gleich viel herausgehoben, wobei der Messerrücken auf dem blanken Metall der Zone 5c aufliegt.
Das Zurichtband kann sowohl zum Hinterlegen von aus Bandstahl gefertigten Stanzmessern wie auch Prägemessern dienen, die ähnlich den Stanz- messern 2 angeordnet sind, aber eine nicht schnei dende, weniger erhabene Prägekante zum Einprägen von Falzlinien und dergleichen in Kartonzuschnitten haben.

When working with such tools, it often becomes apparent that not all knives cut to the same depth. In such cases, one managed so far to glue a thin strip 4 of paper celluloid or similar plastic to the back of the plate so that it covers the back of the knife or knife section that does not cut deep enough. This measure was sufficient for a small number of cuts, because for a time the strip 4 is able to push the knife with its cutting part somewhat out of the plate. The success is short-lived because even the blunt back of a knife can squeeze a strip made of soft material apart.
The invention has the purpose of providing the worker with a dressing tape as a convenient, permanent remedial tool available. According to the invention, the dressing tape has a hardened steel tape with a thickness of a few hundredths of a millimeter, which is provided with a self-adhesive layer on one side along the edge zones that each occupy approximately one third of its width.

The finishing belt designated as a whole with A in FIG. 2 has a hardened steel belt 5 which has a width of, for. B. 8 mm and a thickness of z. B. 0.04 mm. On the one hand, this steel strip is provided with a self-adhesive layer over its entire length along the two edge zones each occupying approximately a third of its width, as indicated at 5a and 5b. The remaining central zone 5c is left blank.
The dressing tape A also has an easily detachable protective strip 6 placed on the side provided with the adhesive zones 5a, 5b, which does not take up the plastic from a plastic such. B. polyvinyl chloride, exists and expediently has an embossed grid. This protective strip 6 is wider than the steel band 5 and protrudes on both edges by, for example, 2 mm over this so that it can be easily grasped.
For storage, sale and keeping in the workshop, the finishing tape A is a few meters long and is stored in a cardboard box B, which has a slot on one narrow edge through which the free end of the roll is led out. If necessary, the required length can then be pulled out of the box and cut from the roll with scissors. The protective strip is then peeled off from the section and the steel strip is glued to the desired point on the back of the tool, as was previously the case with strip 4.
When working, the steel band is then automatically pressed into the wood of the plate 1 by its thickness, so the knife section supported by it is lifted out by the same amount, the back of the knife resting on the bare metal of zone 5c.
The dressing tape can be used to lay punching knives made from steel strip as well as embossing knives that are arranged similar to the punching knives 2, but have a non-cutting, less raised embossed edge for embossing fold lines and the like in cardboard blanks.
