Closing device on a window, in particular pivoting sash window The present invention relates to a locking device on a window, in particular pivoting sash window, with locking means embedded in the window, which extend along at least two butting window sides and a corner band guided in an arc through the corner connection of these sides made of flexible strip material made of plastic, and are connected to an operating handle,
the bolt engages and disengages from the striker plate.
A closure device is known in which two rigid, metallic Baskülstangen are permanently or detachably connected to a corner band in the form of a steel band which extends slidably through a guide sheath held in the window. One of these two Baskülstangen can be formed over part of its length like a rack, which is in engagement with a gear in the Be serving mechanism, so that a rotation of the wheel by means of the operating handle shifts the two rods and the corner hinge in the one or the other direction depending on the direction of rotation of the gear.
The manufacture of such known locking devices includes certain processing operations such as cutting off the base bars and the corner band and forming its guide sheath as well as riveting or other connection of the base bars and the corner band which in practice have to be carried out elsewhere than in the joiner's workshop, where window frames and framing are made.
This entails certain difficulties and disadvantages in the practical layout of window production, which is also made more expensive as a result of the processing operations mentioned for the production of the locking rod system.
These disadvantages are largely remedied by the present invention. The closure device according to the invention is characterized in that at least that part of the closure means which extends along one of the butting window sides is made of the same flexible plastic material as the corner band and is directly connected to it is guided for straight movement along the relevant window side. In this case, the whole rod system from the operating mechanism to the bolt can be formed from a single Ma material strip that only z.
B. needs to be performed in a multiple, milled grooves in its entire or main neutrally entire length, and possibly bars can be formed from parts of the flexible plastic strip itself.
If the rod system so advantageously consists of a plastic strip that is flexible in its entire length, which extends unbroken through the corner connection, and which is guided along the frame sides for linear movement, no processing of the rod system itself is required, so to speak, or at least only one Machining so simple that it could be done without difficulty in the workshop where the window production itself takes place. The processing needs, for example, only in cutting strips of the appropriate length from a roll of material and. possible knocking out of holes for engagement with a gear in the associated operating mechanism.
Even if that part of the rod system which extends along one of the abutting window sides consists of a rigid metal rod, the advantages associated with the invention are achieved to a very substantial degree. This metal rod can be connected relatively easily in the vicinity of the corner connection with a flexible strip that forms the remaining part of the rod system, i.e. partly the corner band itself and partly the part of the rod system that extends along the other of the two window sides. Each of the two parts of the rod system, i.e. both the rigid metal rod and the flexible plastic strip, can itself be designed as a latch at one end.
Several embodiments of the subject invention are schematically illustrated in the drawing and explained in more detail below.
FIG. 1 is a partial view of a window with a closure device designed according to the teaching given by the invention; FIG. 2 shows, in an analogous representation, another design form ; B> Fig. 3 illustrates yet another exemplary embodiment in an analogous representation.
In Fig. 1, 11 and 12 denote two adjacent legs of the frame of a window sash 13 . From the ends of the legs 11 and 12 locking bolts 14 and 15 protrude, which have to engage in the fixed window frame in order to hold the window sash in the closed position. Both locking bolts 14 and 15 can be pushed back and forth in the relevant frame leg by means of a rotatable, toothed actuating member 16, the actuating member 16 being replaced by a non-illustrated one Handle is rotatable.
The bolt 14 is part of a flexible strip 17 or is attached to it. The strip 17 consists of plastic material and has a corner part 18 , which is connected in an arc through a correspondingly curved guide groove in the corner connection runs between the two legs 11 and 12.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 1, the locking bolt 15 is part of a rigid rod 19 or is attached to one end thereof. The rod 19 is in direct engagement with the actuating element 16 . The flexible strip 17 is firmly connected to the rod 19 by means of rivets 20 or other connecting means.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 2, the flexible strip 17 also extends through the leg 12, and it is in direct engagement with the actuating member 16 , while the rigid rod < B> 19, which has the locking bolt 15 , is connected to the flexible strip 17 with the aid of rivets 20 or the like.
In the exemplary embodiment illustrated in FIG. 3, the flexible strip 17 also extends through the leg 12, and it is again in direct engagement with the actuating element 16. The locking bolt 15 is part of a link 21 or is attached to it, the link 21 being a tongue cut out and bent out of the flexible strip 17 so that the Link 21 runs tangentially to the corner section 18 .
The cutting out of such a tongue does not need to lead to an inadmissible weakening of the strip section in question and can also be done extremely easily and quickly.
If the one bar or bars from Tei len of the flexible plastic strip formed who the, it may be useful to use a z. B. to use made of Me tall protective cap, the ge against wear is more resistant than the plastic material itself.
