Rotatable coupling for flexible organs The invention relates to a rotatable Kupp ment for flexible organs, in particular wire ropes, in which the coupling part designed as a tension bolt extends coaxially into the other coupling part designed as a tension sleeve and the two coupling parts each have at least two annular, with axial Have spaced-apart surfaces, which in pairs form the running surfaces of balls, the balls of which couple the two parts with one another.
The subject matter of the invention will then be explained in more detail using an exemplary embodiment shown in the accompanying drawing in partial axial section.
The illustrated coupling has a pulling sleeve 1 open on one side with a connecting ring 2 on its closed side and a pulling bolt 3 extending coaxially into this pulling sleeve with a connecting ring 4 at its outer end.
On the tension bolt there are four annular ribs 5 next to one another at an even axial distance, on each of which the annular surface 6 facing the open sleeve end is designed as an inner running surface for a ball bearing, the outer running surface of which corresponds to an annular surface 7 facing the closed sleeve end, protruding inward Annular ribs 8 of the train sleeve 1 is formed. Each two mutually facing annular surfaces 6 and 7 form with the balls 9 supported thereon a ball bearing which couples the tension bolt 3 with the tension sleeve 1 in a freely rotatable manner.
All four ball bearings have the same pitch circle diameter and are arranged one behind the other with the same spacing in the axial direction. In their Be rich are on the tension sleeve 1, the zones AD with the same largest inner diameter and on the tension bolt 3, the zones EH with the same smallest outer diameter, while the outer diameter of the annular ribs 5 and the inner diameter of the annular ribs 8 are so dimensioned, that the tension bolt can be retracted into the tension sleeve.
Under load it is mainly the mentioned zones with the smallest cross section of the tension sleeve and tension bolt that are exposed to the elastic change in length. So that the ball bearings remain load-bearing under every permissible tensile load despite the elastic axial expansions occurring in these zones, because in the present example each ball bearing is supposed to transfer a quarter of the tensile load, the ball bearing distances must have the same change in length.
The elastic axial expansions on the one hand in the first sleeve zone A next to the closed sleeve end and on the other hand in the first bolt zone E next to the open sleeve end, in which two zones the full tensile load occurs, remain without influence on the ball bearing distances. If the ball bearings are uniform, the tensile load in zones B and F is three quarters of the tensile load, in zones C and G half the tensile load and in zones D and H a quarter of the tensile load. The cross-sections of zones B-D and F-H are now dimensioned so that the elastic axial expansion in these zones results in the same values.
Therefore, the area of the smallest material cross section of the tension sleeve at zone D must be at least approximately equal to the area of the smallest material cross section of the tension bolt at zone H. Correspondingly, the areas of the material cross-sections at zones C and G and those at zones B and F must match each other. This is achieved in that the tension bolt is provided with a coaxial bore 10 at zone H and with a narrower coaxial bore 11 at zone G, while the outside diameter of the tension sleeve is from zone B to zone D decreases accordingly.
The elastic radial deformation to be expected at zones A-H of the tension sleeve and the tension bolt has been found to be negligible in the measurements carried out, so that it does not have to be taken into account when dimensioning the zone cross-sections.
At each ball bearing point a Kugeleinfüllbohrung 12 is provided in the tension sleeve 1, which has a distance with its geometric axis from the partial circular plane of the ball bearing in question in the direction of the tension sleeve ring 2, which corresponds approximately to the ball radius and an automatic escape of the balls 9 from the ball bearing impossible . The filling holes 12 adjacent ball bearing points are arranged offset from one another by at least 90.
In order to enable the balls to be filled into each ball bearing, the tension bolt 3 can be displaced from the position shown relative to the tension sleeve 1 by the axial distance of the axis of the ball filling hole from the pitch circle plane, while in the position of use this displacement is carried out by means of a radial bore in the tension sleeve in the axia len gap 13 filled balls 14 is prevented, with a coaxial cylindrical head 16 protruding from the sleeve end wall 15, the diameter of which is slightly smaller than that of the bore 10 in the bolt 3 and which makes it impossible for the balls 14 to enter this bore .
A screw 17 closes the radial bore.
As a result of the structural design described, the coupling has an axial length that is limited to a minimum for very high axial loads and a minimal outer diameter. Depending on the maximum load, fewer, but at least two or more than four rows of balls could be provided.
