Shutter for photographic recording devices The invention relates to a shutter for photographic recording devices, the shutter blades of which are operated by magnets for the purpose of controllable exposure of photographic recordings.
On the one hand devices are known in which the shutter slats of a conventional central shutter are opened or closed with the aid of an electromagnetic force. However, the opening and closing of the lock itself takes place purely mechanically by rotating or pivoting the slats. All that is needed is to replace the spring force otherwise causing the opening and closing by an electromagnet, in such a way that when the magnet is switched on, an armature is given a rotary movement which is transmitted to the individual lamellae via gears or other gear means.
On the other hand, devices are known in which a shutter with a fixed opening moves back and forth in its plane between the poles of two or more magnets. To achieve this purpose, the shutter has wire windings through which a direct current is passed. Depending on the direction of the current in these windings, the shutter moves in the direction of the poles of one or the other magnet and, with this movement, releases the light inlet opening for a shorter or longer period of time.
Furthermore, a photographic shutter is known, the slats of which are out as blind slats, which are easily rotatable in two mutually perpendicular, controllable magnetic fields ge and can move under the influence of these fields in the open - or closed -Stelhing. The purpose of the invention is to create a new camera shutter based on the principle of the last-mentioned shutter, which works safely and without vibrations and also allows short exposure times.
The subject of the invention is therefore a shutter for photographic recording devices, the shutter blades of which are at least partially made of magnetizable material, for example provided with magnetizable material and easily pivotable in the area of the inclined force line fields of at least two, optionally switchable in their effect Magnet systems are stored,
so that the shutter is opened and closed by magnetically aligning the shutter slats in accordance with the polarity of the respective magnets. This closure is characterized in that the lamella edges that interact and touch each other in the closed position of the closure are made of non-magnetizable material. Furthermore, for example, the magnet systems are provided with pole pieces and, if necessary, auxiliary pole pieces with which they act in the movement area of the shutter blades.
In the drawing, the invention is explained in more detail using several exemplary embodiments. 1-3 show a shutter shutter - in the closed position - for the optical beam path of a micro-photographic device with automatically photoelectrically controlled switching of the magnets causing the opening and closing of the shutter slats, in a schematic representation, FIGS. 4a-4c Design of the shutter lamellae as cylinder segments made of permanent magnetic material that can be moved on a circular path, in a schematic representation,
and FIGS. 5a, 5b, consisting of non-magnetizable material and provided with auxiliary permanent magnets, as closure lamellae, in a schematic representation.
According to Fig. 1-3, the shutter consists of a shutter body 1 arranged in a manner similar to a central shutter at an appropriate point in the beam path L of a photographic device, in which two shutter blades 2, 3 made of magnetizable material are blind-like around axes 4, 5 are rotatably mounted. The closure body 1 can simultaneously be a carrier of one or more members 6 of the optical imaging system.
The movement of the shutter slats 2, 3 to open or close the shutter is carried out by two electromagnetic systems 7, 8 assigned to the shutter body 1, which with pole shoes 7a, 7b, </ brought as close as possible to the pivoting range of the slats 2, 3. I> 8c1, 8b are provided. The pole shoes 7a, 7b can also be assigned auxiliary pole shoes 7a ', 7b', which serve to achieve a specific pivoting direction of the shutter blades when the magnet system 7 is switched on to improve.
If the opening magnet 8 is switched on, then there is a magnetic force line field H2 between the pole pieces 8a, 8b, in the direction of which the shutter blades 2, 3 adjust and thereby open the beam path L. If the closing magnet 7 is switched on, the closing lamellae 2, 3 move in the direction of the magnetic force line field Hl existing between the pole pieces 7a, 7b, whereby the beam path L is blocked.
By alternately switching the magnet systems 7, 8 on and off, the shutter can be opened and closed, the shutter slats 2, 3 acting as anchors of the magnet systems 7, 8 in the direction of the force line field Hl or Hz of the magnet system that is switched on Set 7 or 8. In order to prevent sticking of the lamella edges that overlap in the closed position (FIGS. 2 and 3), the overlapping parts 2a, 3a of the lamellae 2, 3 can consist of non-magnetizable material.
In addition, the pivoting path of the slats 2, 3 in the open position can be limited by auxiliary stops 9a, 9b made of non-magnetizable material.
A shutter designed in this way only has the shutter blades 2, 3 themselves as parts which are moved to carry out an exposure and whose mass can also be kept very small. By quickly building up and reducing the magnetic fields Hl, H2 of the alternately switchable magnet systems 7, 8, very short exposure times can therefore be achieved.
As a result of the relatively large air gaps between the pole pieces of the magnet systems 7, 8 due to the design when the shutter slats 2, 3 are moved from the closed to the open position and vice versa, relatively strong magnetic fields Hl and H2 are necessary to enter to achieve rapid transfer of the shutter slats from one position to the other.
After reaching the open or closed position, on the other hand, considerably weaker magnetic fields H1 or H2 are sufficient to hold the shutter slats in their position.
The rapid build-up of a sufficiently strong magnetic field is dependent on the current that is supplied to the electromagnet for a given magnet coil. Since this large amperage is also only needed for a short time, while the rest of the time a much lower amperage is sufficient to generate the shutter blades 2, 3 in their end positions holding magnetic fields Hl or HZ, in a further embodiment of the invention, it is the Electromagnets 7, 8 controlling electric metering device designed so
that when one of the magnets 7 or 8 is switched on, it initially supplies a strong current pulse which is sufficient to quickly build up a strong magnetic field, but which then quickly drops to a lower current strength that is sufficient to hold the lamellae 2, 3 in their end position to create. This change in the current intensity and thus the magnetic field occurring during the opening or closing process also prevents the moving shutter blades 2, 3 from swinging beyond the desired end position under the influence of their inertia and fluttering around them.
According to Fig. 1, the electric metering device includes a direct current source B, which via line 30, the solenoid of the electromagnet 8 and the Lei device 31 with a thyratron 33 as an on and off switch of the electromagnetic system 8 and via line 35, the coil of the Electromagnet 7 and the line 36 with a thyratron 38 as an on and off switch of the electromagnetic system 7 is connected. The control grid of the thyratron 33 is connected to the direct current source B via a voltage divider and the start switch 34 by means of the line 32.
By actuating the start switch 34, the closure opening is initiated. The control grid of the thyratron 38 is ver via a photocell 39 and the lines 37, 32 with the direct current source B connected.
The photocell 39 is exposed to part of the object light by means of a partially permeable mirror 11 arranged in the beam path L behind the shutter and, in conjunction with a capacitor C, causes the thyratron 38 to ignite depending on the object light strength Capacitor C can be used to adapt the exposure time to different sensitivities of the recording material.
To feed the opening magnet 8, RC elements, preferably designed as an RC chain, are seen before, consisting of the capacitors Cl, C2, C.3 and the resistors R2 and R @ 3. He is charged via the voltage divider Ro, R1. For this purpose the time constants R .. C2 and R3 - C,
3 of the same order of magnitude or greater than the time constant Cl times the resistance of the coil of magnet B.
To feed the closing magnet 7, RC links, preferably designed as an RC chain, are also provided, consisting of the capacitors C4, C5, C6 and the resistors R5 and R .. The call is charged via R4. Here, too, the time constants R.-C5 and R6 # C are of the same order of magnitude or greater than the time constant C4 times the resistance of the coil of the closing magnet 7.
The capacitor C4 is in series with the capacitor Cl. Here, the voltage divider Ro, R1 and the capacitances of the capacitors C1 to C6 are to be measured so that the charge (= capacitance X voltage) of the capacitor C4 greater than that of the capacitor Cl and the sum of the charges of C4 + C5 + C,
becomes greater than the sum of the charges of C1 + C2 + C3. In parallel with the capacitor C1, a diode 40 is connected in such a way that it allows the normal call charging of Cl, but prevents a call charging with reversed polarity.
If the opening magnet 8 is switched on by closing the start switch 34 and thus igniting the thyratron 33, the RC chain Cl, R2, C2, R3, C3 begins to discharge, with the capacitors C2 and C3 the Have the task of still delivering a sufficiently strong current (holding current) in order to keep the closing lamellae, which strive to swing beyond this when reaching their end position, in the end position.
A voltage approximately corresponding to the running voltage of the thyratron 33 then remains at the capacitor C1. If the thyratron 38 is ignited earlier or later via the photocell 39, then the closing magnet 7 is excited. Since at this point in time the opening coil 8 is still carrying current, the. short exposure times can still be very long, the shutter does not close at first. Because of the series connection of C4 with Cl, C1 is discharged more quickly by C4, with the thyratron 33 being extinguished at the same time.
A negative call charge of C1 is prevented by the diode 40. In this way, very short exposure times can be achieved. If C4 with its base point were to ground instead of C1, then the discharge currents from Cl would have to be. C2 and C3 must have subsided before the shutter can be closed.
The tools for extinguishing the thyratron 38 after the exposure process and the tools for the timely recharging of the capacitors C1 to C6 as well as the holding means for the start contact 34 for the duration of the exposure time have been omitted from the circuit diagram because they are well known.
The power source B can be any direct current source of sufficient strength, e.g. B. a battery, an AC-DC converter or the like Chen, be. Instead of the thyratrone 33, 38 as a scarf ter, other electronic tubes or transistors suitable as electronic switches can also be used. Electromechanical switches - switching relays - can also be used instead of electronic switches.
Finally, it is also within the scope of the invention to provide only two per chain instead of RC chains with three or more RC elements per chain, but the capacitors of the remaining RC elements must have a correspondingly larger capacity . Finally, it is also within the scope of the invention to provide only the capacitors C1 and C4, the capacitance of which, however, must then be greater than the sum of the individual capacitances or
of the capacitors C1 + C2 + C3 or C4 + C5 + C6- Instead of a shutter-like design and arrangement of the shutter slats, cylinder segments that are movable on a circular path can also be used as shutter slats. In Figure 4a, 4b, 4c and Figure 5a, 5b, two exemplary embodiments of such magnetic cylinder segment locks are shown schematically.
Their advantages consist primarily in the fact that they can be arranged in the beam path of the recording device in the beam path of the recording device due to the lower axial migration of their lamella edges limiting the exposure opening during exposure, so that they work largely without vignetting. It also enables larger opening widths of the closure with the same housing dimensions. However, their slats have the disadvantage of less favorable mass inertia ratios compared to the slats of a shutter.
In the exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 4a-4c, the locking lamellae 16, 17, which are designed as cylinder segments and are rotatably mounted on common axes 15, are made of magnetically hard material, so they are themselves permanent magnets Material are available in order to reduce the magnetic sticking of the closure lamellae 16, 17 to one another when the closure is opened.
The shutter slats are magnetized in such a way that when the shutter is closed, unlike poles of the shutter slats 16, 17 are opposite one another.
On the circumference of the circular path of the shutter blades 16, 17, the pole shoes 18, 19, 20, 21 of two electromagnetic systems, not shown in their individual units, are arranged, which can be polarized by changing the current direction. The arrangement of the pole pieces 18, 19, 20, 21 opposite the end positions of the shutter blades 16, 17 is such that in the end positions the pole pieces 18, 19, 20, 21 face the magnetic poles of the shutter blades 16, 17 and at Reversing the polarity of the pole shoes 18, 19, 20,
21 with the same polarity with the shutter blades opposite them, a magnetic force component is created in the desired direction of movement of the shutter blades. The opening path of the shutter slats is expediently limited by stops 14 made of non-magnetizable material.
In the cylinder segment lock according to FIGS. 5a and 5b, the locking blades 22, 23, which are rotatably mounted about common axes 15, are made of non-magnetizable material, e.g. B. aluminum. They are provided with permanent magnets 24, 25, which in turn cooperate with the circumference of the circular path of the shutter slats 22, 23 arranged pole shoes 26a, 26b, 27 and 28a, 28b, 29 of two electromagnet systems, not shown in detail, which by changing the direction of current a Interchanging the polarity of these pole pieces permitted. The respective outer pole pieces 26a, 26b or
28a, 28b on one side have the same polarity as one another, the middle pole pieces 27 and 28 the opposite, taking into account the polarity of the lamellar magnets 24, 25. By alternately reversing the polarity of the outer pole pieces I> 26a, 26b or 28a, 28b and the inner pole shoes 27, 29, the shutter blades 22, 23 are given an opening or closing movement. In this type of closure, too, the opening path of the closure lamellae 22, 23 can be limited by deflections 14, 14 made of non-magnetizable material.
In the cylinder segment locks according to FIGS. 4a-4c and 5a, 5b, the mutual repulsion of the same name and the mutual attraction of dissimilar magnetic poles are used to move the shutter blades. In addition, the mutual attraction of dissimilar magnetic poles is used to hold the slats in their end positions. These closures are opened and closed by switching over the current direction in the electromagnetic systems, which can be done by known mechanical or electronic time switches.
In the case of the shutter lock according to FIGS. 1-3, the shutter slats 2, 3 can also consist of magnetically hard material and be premagnetized. Instead of solenoid systems that can be switched on and off with fixed polarity, solenoid systems with switchable polarity can then also be provided, which in turn are powered by an electrical switching device with RC chains as shown in FIG. 1, but with on and off switches and switches for the supply lines , being controlled.
