Sheave or pulley for wire rope drives, cable cars, chair and ski lifts, etc. The present invention relates to a pulley or pulley for wire rope drives, cable cars, chair and ski lifts, etc., with a lining in the form of a casting, injection molding or Pressing process made of plastic lining ring.
It is known to equip the pulleys or pulleys of wire rope drives, cable cars, chair and ski lifts, etc. with a lining ring made of plastic, for example made of polyester resins modified with isocyanate, to dampen noise or to increase friction and protect the rope. The connection between the bore of the lining ring and the pulley bed was made with the help of tongue and groove, for example.
It has now been found in practice that the plastic lining rings are rolled out by the wire rope during operation, so that they are larger over time in the order, and thus further in diameter who the, where they stand out from the roller bed and where at the Springs attached in the bore of the lining rings emerge from the associated grooves of the roller bed, so that not only the frictional connection but also the positive connection between the chuck and the roller bed is canceled.
This disadvantage of the known sheaves or pulleys with plastic lining rings is now to be eliminated in accordance with the invention in that the lining ring has at least one metal ring as reinforcement, for example it is cast or pressed with a steel ring, and that the lining ring by means of a Tolerance ring frictionally sig is placed on the pulley or pulley rim.
By embedding a reinforcement ring in the plastic compound, a rough expansion of the lining ring is controlled. If, for example, an elastic tolerance ring is provided which provides the frictional connection under strong tension, this may be able to compensate for any small expansion that may still occur, so that the feed ring does not lift off the roller bed even after a long period of operation.
The drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention, namely: FIG. 1 shows an axial section of a pulley equipped with the feed ring according to the invention, and FIG. 2 shows a cross section through the pulley along the line II-II in FIG.
1 is the pulley body on which a plastic lining ring 2 produced by casting, injection molding or pressing is arranged and secured in its position by means of two removable disc flanges 3 @. The disk flanges 3 are fastened to the body 1 on both sides by connecting screws 4. The lining ring 2 is cast or pressed with a closed metal ring 5, preferably a steel ring, which serves as reinforcement.
The steel ring has a flat, rectangular cross-section, and is provided with openings 6, which allow an intimate connection of the feed ring with the plastic material, so that the creation of a clearance between the reinforcement and the plastic material is excluded. An annular groove 7 is recessed in the bore of the chuck ring, in which a tolerance ring 8 is embedded and is secured against axial displacement in the groove. This tolerance ring 8 enables the chuck ring 2 to be pressed onto the roller bed of the pulley body 1 with a friction fit.
