Centrifugal pump with constant amount of Eritlastangs volume The invention relates to a centrifugal pump with a hydraulically operated relief device to compensate for the axial thrust., Consisting of Ent load disc and counter disc.
It is known in pumps of this type to feed the discharge fluid discharged from the space behind the discharge disc by the discharge device back to the suction port of the pump or its feed tank. It is also known that in hot water pumps, the return fluid,
in order to avoid impermissible vapor formation in the suction chamber of the pump before it gets into the latter in order to cool down a corresponding amount. The amount of the returned discharge fluid is thereby. possibly influenced by an adjustable control element.
With regard to achieving sufficient axial thrust compensation, such pump designs work quite satisfactorily in normal operation, that is, in the normal load area, but not in the overload area. This is due to the fact that when entering this area after a certain limit has been exceeded, the amount of the returned discharge fluid no longer remains constant, but rather drops sharply.
which leads to mutual contact between the parts of the relief device and can result in their destruction.
The invention avoids this disadvantage with a relief device which ensures that the amount of blown liquid is kept constant even in the overload area. This is made possible by a centrifugal pump design with hydraulically actuated axial thrust relief device,
Consists of a relief disc and counter disc through which a certain amount of relief fluid is discharged or removed during pump operation.
is returned to the suction nozzle or the inlet tank, the inflow space for the relief device being connected to a pump stage in which the pressure is at least equal to the pressure in front of the relief disc via a line with a regulating device,
whereby according to the invention this regulating organ. is controlled in. Dependent on the returned amount of relief fluid, such that the amount of relief fluid remains constant. The preferably automatic control member is conveniently controlled by a pulse generator, the z. B.
can be a quantity-dependent differential pressure transmitter and in the return line between. the discharge space behind the relief device and the suction connection or the inlet tank of the pump or in a discharge line of the pump leading out of the relief space.
It is true that a device for protecting centrifugal pumps with hydraulic axial thrust relief to prevent an impermissible increase in temperature of the pumped medium in the pump in the low-load area has become known, in which an additional minimum amount of liquid,
the size of which is set by a flow control dependent on the pump load, and is discharged or returned together with the relief fluid through the relief device. The regulating body is here by:
controlled by a pulse generator, which is arranged in the space behind the relief device or in the pressure line (pressure nozzle) of the pump.
Such a protective device, however, serves, as said, to ensure proper operation in the low-load range and is completely unsuitable for keeping the amount of discharge fluid returned or discharged constant in the overload area.
As an expedient further development of the pump design according to the invention, a cooling device is preferably arranged in the connection line between this pump stage and the relief space in a manner known per se for cooling the liquid drawn off at the stage mentioned. This prevents impermissible vapor formation at the <RTI
ID = "0002.0010"> prevents the relief device and in the suction chamber and ensures perfect pump operation even in the larger area of the overload area, apart from all the known advantages that a relief liquid cooling ensures.
The pump according to the invention is explained below using an example.
The figure shows in longitudinal section a centrifugal pump with a relief device according to the invention, with the inflow chamber 1 and the outflow chamber 2 of the relief device. The space 1 is connected by the line 3 to the regulating element 4 with a pump stage of suitable pressure from which pressure fluid is drawn off.
A cooling device 5 is connected between the control element 4 and the inflow space 1 of the relief device. The discharge space 2 of the relief device is connected to the suction port of the pump or
in connection with the feed tank. In the water line, which can also lead to the outside in other application examples, the pulse generator 7 for the control element 4 is arranged. If the returned or
discharged amount of discharge fluid of the line 6, the control element 4 receives a corresponding opening impulse transmitted by the transmitter 7, as a result of this in the inflow space 1, that is to say in the space in front of the discharge disk 8,
In addition, liquid from the tapped level arrives and is thus increased to its target value with the throughput through the relief device by enlarging the relief gap between relief disc 8 and counter disc 9. If the volume of relief fluid exceeds the amount necessary to keep the relief gap constant when re-entering the normal area, then:
the control element is influenced by the encoder in the opposite direction, namely in the sense of a closing movement. Compliance with the required value of the relief gap is then ensured again by the sufficient amount of relief fluid that occurs in the normal load area.
