Device for cooling on closed electrical machines As electromotive drives, especially in machine tool construction, completely closed motors, especially DC machines, are used to an increasing extent. In sol chen motors, the cooling makes difficulties, especially when a large control range is required and very low speeds must remain set for a long time during operation, where the full torque must also usually be given ben. Fans sitting on the motor shaft are practically ineffective in such cases.
Either a very oversized motor without ventilation must then be used, which also requires a special design, or external ventilation must be provided for the motor. The former solution requires a wesent Lich larger design of the engine and is expensive as a result. In addition, the associated increase in the start-up time constant and the increase in the excitation time constant caused by the usually necessary additional expenditure on excitation copper are very disadvantageous for control motors. It has therefore also proposed the use of Fremdbelüf device by means of a separately driven fan, which is either connected to the engine through pipes or attached directly to the engine.
In many cases, it is sufficient if the external air is blown away over the surface of the motor, especially if it is provided with ribs for better heat dissipation. In DC machines and other designs of electrical machines with pronounced poles, however, the effect of this type of cooling is small because the heat loss occurs mainly in the rotor and the heat transfer from this to the stand is poor. There are also machines, in particular with greater powers, in which a fan arranged inside the motor drives the internal air through a dry cooler, from which the cooled air flows back into the motor.
The recooler is cooled by a second stream of air that is generated by a fan arranged outside the machine. All of these designs have the disadvantage that they are very complex and expensive. Often the machine dimensions are enlarged in an impermissible manner as a result. Particularly in the case of small DC machines with only a few kW of power, such designs with a specially arranged dry cooler are therefore relatively uneconomical. The invention shows how the specified difficulties can be overcome.
According to the invention, the fan is designed as a recooler for the circulated air in such a way that the fan wheel consists of a disc which covers the housing of the machine from the outside and which is not only fitted with fan blades on its side facing the inside of the motor, but also on its outside, by means of which an air flow that cools the pane on its outside is generated.
The interior of the machine housing is advantageously subdivided, in particular halved, in the axial direction by sliding surfaces, screens and the like in such a way that the air flows back in one part and back in the other. It can be cooled so much on the fan acting as a dry cooler that in this way sufficient cooling of the engine can be achieved without a special cooler located outside the engine.
The outer fan blades can also be surrounded by an auxiliary housing, the outlet openings of which are directed so that the air flow conveyed by the outer fan blades flows over the outer surface of the machine housing in a manner known per se. As a result, even better cooling of the electrical machine can be achieved.
In Figure 1 of the drawing, an electrical machine is shown, which is provided with a Ausführungsbei game of the cooling device designed according to the invention. 1 is the housing of the Ma machine, which is closed at both ends by the end shields 2 and 3, in which the motor shaft 4 is mounted on which the rotor 5 is seated. 6 is the stand of the machine, which is provided with pronounced poles. A fan motor 7 is attached coaxially to the left end of the machine. The fan consists of a disc 8, which is occupied on the side facing the engine with inner fan blades 9 and on its outside with outer fan blades 10.
The fan forms the separation between the interior of the machine and the exterior. The seal between the fan disk and the bearing plate 2 of the motor housing is brought about by a labyrinth 11. The air flow generated by the inner fan blade 9 passes through openings 12 in the upper part of the end shield 2 into the motor interior, which is divided in the axial direction by guide surfaces 13 into an upper and lower space in such a way that the air flow entering through the opening 12 first flows through the upper room,
is then deflected to the lower space and flows back in the sem in the direction of the arrow and finally through the openings 14 located in the lower part of the bearing shield 2 to the inner guide surfaces of the impeller 9 is fed back in the circuit. In this case, the air sweeps along the disc 8, which serves as a recooling surface and which is guided on its outside by the air flow generated by the outer guide surfaces 10.
The outer guide surfaces 10 are also surrounded by an auxiliary housing 15 which protrudes over the machine housing 1 over. The air flow emerging from the opening between tween the machine housing 1 and the auxiliary housing 15 is blown in the direction of arrow 16 over the outer surface of the housing 1 and thus causes an additional Küh treatment of the housing 1 on its outside. The air flow sucked in through openings 17 in the auxiliary housing also serves to cool the fan motor 7.
In order to achieve a particularly good re-cooling effect with the fan in some cases, the disk occupied with the fan blades can be provided with tangential, in particular zigzag, corrugations. The fan blades on both sides are advantageously attached to the outer tips of the corrugations.
As a result, the contact area for the conveyed air is enlarged on both sides and a particularly good heat transfer is achieved.
2 and 3 of the drawings show an exemplary embodiment from a fan wheel designed in such a way in elevation and in section. The fan disc 8, which carries the inner fan blades 9 and the outer fan blades 10, is provided with tangential corrugations which have a zigzag cross-section. The fan blades 9 and 10 are attached to the respective outer edges of the corrugations.
In this way, a particularly good heat transfer between the indoor and outdoor air through the material from a highly thermally conductive mate, z. B. Silumin casting, achieved existing fan wheel.
