Fig. 1 eine schematische Darstellung einer Einrichtung und
Fig. 2 eine Variante dieser Einrichtung.
Method for bringing a gas into contact with a liquid and device for carrying out the method
The present invention relates to a method for bringing a gas into contact with a liquid and to a device for practicing the method.
When a gas is brought into contact with a liquid, it is often desirable for the gas to be introduced into the liquid in a finely divided manner and to be evenly mixed with it. In a known manner, the liquid is poured into a container and then the gas is introduced into it. The gas is supplied either into the free space above the liquid level or into the liquid.
The gas is evenly distributed in the liquid in the smallest possible bubbles with the help of stirrers. As a result of the very different specific weights of the two components and the tendency of the gas to collect in large bubbles, the distribution remains incomplete and the mixing non-uniform.
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method and a device in which the above-mentioned difficulties and problems are solved in a simple manner.
The method according to the invention consists in that the liquid is removed from a treatment container and fed back to this container in the circuit, the energy used to maintain the circuit being used in addition to sucking in the gas and mixing it with the liquid. A gas atmosphere is expediently produced in the treatment container above the liquid level and the liquid is removed from the container below with the aid of a pump and returned to the gas atmosphere above. The liquid is expediently dissolved into many liquid jets, which are directed in such a way that each jet entrains gas by dragging it and hurls it into a room.
The device for carrying out the method has a treatment container and a circuit line connected to this with a feed pump, a mixing and reaction device being arranged in the feed path of the treatment liquid.
The drawing shows exemplary embodiments of the device for carrying out the method according to the invention, namely:
Fig. 1 is a schematic representation of a device and
Fig. 2 shows a variant of this device.
The device has a cylindrical container 1, which has a conical bottom 2 with a connection 3 for a circulation line 4. The circuit line 4 leads to the suction side of a pump 5, the pressure side 6 of which is connected to the continuation of the circuit line 4. The end of the circulation line 4 facing away from the pump 5 is connected to the inlet connection 7 on the upper part of the container 1. The circuit line 4 also has a heating and cooling unit 8 connected in parallel.
The upper part of the container 1 is dome-like, as indicated at 9 in FIG.
In this dome-like part 9 there is a mixing and reaction device 10 which has a holding tube 11 and a nozzle plate 12 arranged in this. The nozzle plate 12 is followed by a conical tube 13 and held by means of a framework composed of ribs 14. In the movement path of the liquid jets there is a reaction space 31 which is delimited by a tube 32 and a baffle plate 15. This tube 32 and the baffle plate 15 are attached to the framework 14.
Furthermore, the container 1 has a nozzle 16 for introducing gas and a nozzle 17 for introducing a liquid mixture.
The container 1 receives the liquid mixture to be treated, which reaches a level 18 below the baffle plate 15. A gas atmosphere 19 is located above the liquid level. The liquid mixture is removed from the container 1 at the bottom at connection 3 and fed back to the inlet connection 7 of the container 1 with the aid of the pump 5. In this cycle, the drain valve 20 and the valves 21, 22 remain closed and the valves 23 open. Should the mixture be heated or cooled, it is passed through the heating and cooling device by closing the valves 23 and opening the valves 21 and 22.
The mixture in the circuit enters the dome-like part 9 under high pressure through the inlet connection 7 and is broken up by the nozzle plate 12 into individual jets which flow through the conical tube 13 and entrain gas from the gas atmosphere. Intimate mixing of the liquid mixture with the entrained gas takes place through the impact against the baffle plate 15 and through the turbulence associated therewith. The energy of the liquid given by the pump is used in this way to suck in and mix the gas.
A somewhat different embodiment is shown in FIG. The difference compared to the embodiment described is that in this case a mixing and reaction device 24 is used which is not arranged in the container 1 but outside it. The mixing and reaction device 24 is expediently attached to the container cover 25 and has a housing 26 for receiving a nozzle plate 27. The conical baffle plate 28 is attached directly below the fastening point 29 of the housing 26 and is designed similarly to the baffle plate 15. Furthermore, a connecting line 30 is also provided which connects the space below the nozzle plate 27 in the housing 26 with the gas atmosphere 19 of the container 1.
The operation of this device corresponds to the described operation of the device shown in FIG.
