Needle bed on flat or circular knitting machines The invention relates to a needle bed on flat or circular knitting machines and is characterized in that the side walls of the needle bed bars are lined with elastically deformable guide plates which, due to their resilient properties, brake the movement of the needles or needle slides guided between them .
The guide plates are preferably made of material that has a higher wear resistance than that of the needle bed webs. This makes it possible to produce the needle beds made of less high quality and easier to work with material, for. B. made of light metal or plastic-based materials.
The drawing shows two exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention, namely: FIG. 1 shows a view of a first embodiment of a resilient guide plate, FIG. 2 shows a view of a second embodiment of such a guide plate, FIG. 3 shows a plan view of a guide plate Fig. 1 or Fig. 2, Fig. 4 a perspective view of part of a needle bed with guide plates according to Fig. 1,
5 shows a needle bed with guide plates according to FIG. 2 with individual web and base plates lined up on mounting rails, FIG. 6 shows a plan view of part of a needle bed with and without an inserted needle.
The guide plate 1 shown in side view in FIG. 1 has two dovetail-shaped recesses 4 on the upper edge and two tabs 3 on the underside. The course of the upper edge 2 corresponds to the shape of the needle bed (see FIG. 4). A second embodiment of a guide plate 5 is shown in FIG.
The course of its upper edge 2 corresponds to that of the plate 1, but the plate 5 has two dovetail-shaped recesses 6 at the bottom. The guide plates 1 and 5 are made of spring steel and have a curvature when they are not in a built-up state, as the floor plan (FIG. 3) shows.
In Figure 4, a part of a needle bed is Darge provides, are used in the guide plates of FIG. In the base 8 of the needle bed 9 slots 7 are milled into which the tabs 3 of the sinkers 1 are inserted. The sinkers 1 are inserted into the needle bed 9 in such a way that their curvature causes a narrowing of the passage cross-section for the needle or the needle slide, as shown in the plan according to FIG.
The guide plates are fastened in the needle bed 9 by pushing the dovetail-shaped needle rail or slide guide rail 10 into the recesses 4 (see FIG. 4). These rails fix them in the longitudinal direction and vertically. In the transverse direction they are ge leads through the tabs 3, while their middle, lying between the tabs 2 part can spring laterally.
The needle bed according to FIG. 5 consists of individual web plates 13 and base plates 12, between which a guide plate 5 of the embodiment according to FIG. 2 is always arranged. Support rails 11 are inserted into the lower dovetail-shaped recesses 6, while needle rails or slide guide rails (not shown) are inserted into the upper dovetail-shaped recesses 4.
The guide plates are in turn installed in such a way that their curvatures are directed towards one another so that they can exert a braking effect on the needles or needle slides passing through. Instead of the recesses 6 could, for. B. also round holes arranged in the elements 5, 12, 13 and these are lined up in the same order on continuous round rods.
In Figure 6 a part of a floor plan of a needle bed is shown. This shows that the guide plates 1 do not touch the side walls of the needle bed webs in their middle zone, but leave a gap 15 free and are pressed elastically against the side walls when the needle 14 is inserted. The needle guide sinkers thus brake the movement of the needles or needle slides guided between them by their resilient effect.
Since the guide plates, which, as already mentioned, are made of spring steel and thus have a higher wear resistance than the material of the needle bed, which can be light metal or plastic, for example, the needle bed can be manufactured more cheaply with a longer service life.
