Gas turbine system with partly open, partly closed process The invention relates to a gas turbine system in which part of the working medium runs through an open process and part undergoes a closed process.
The previously known gas turbine systems for higher capacities consistently work with a closed or partly open, partly closed process. In an open process, it is impossible to achieve high performance because of the large air and working gas volumes.
Systems with partly open and partly closed processes combine the advantages of systems with a closed process (greater specific performance and flat efficiency curve) with the advantages of systems with an open process.
The useful power of the gas turbine systems listed is limited in particular by the relatively low isothermal efficiency of the compressors. The following means were therefore used in systems with partly open, partly closed processes to achieve higher thermal efficiency:
Intermediate cooling of the compression, overheating of the working medium between the gas turbine stages and recuperation of the heat. The two first mentioned means represent an approximation of the isothermal compression and expansion. The heat recuperation can be used between the temperatures of the outlet from the turbine and the outlet from the compressor.
The interstage cooling of the compressed air reduces the consumption of compression work, but the disadvantage of the same is that almost all of the compression heat is dissipated into the cooling water, so that it does not participate in the heating process and can do a positive job .
Systems of this type achieve a thermal efficiency of 0.32 to 0.35 and a specific output of 0.20 to 0.25 k / Wh / kg based on 1 kg of air sucked in by the low-pressure compressor using the means listed above . Such systems enable the construction of units with outputs of up to 50 MW,
However, the thermal benefits that can be achieved are already relatively low in comparison with high-performance steam power plants.
The purpose of the present invention is to increase the thermal efficiency without further demands on the enlargement of the system, in particular the special heat exchanger with the help of a pas send utilization of the compression heat. In addition, the limit of the maximum output of the units can be increased.
This is achieved according to the invention by such a combination of open and closed processes that the heat extracted from the compressors' intercoolers is used to heat a liquid medium and this heated liquid medium is injected into the working medium of the open process behind its last compression stage, whereby it evaporates,
and that the heat supply for the gaseous medium of the closed process takes place in a combustion chamber of the open process.
The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to two exemplary embodiments which are shown schematically in FIGS. 1 and 2 of the drawing.
The system according to Fig. 1 works as follows: The turbo compressor K1 sucks in atmospheric air and conveys it into the cooler <B><I>CH,.</I> </B> In the same cooler <B> CH, </ B> air from the closed process comes out at the same pressure.
From the cooler CH, all the air flows together into the turbo compressor K2, where it is compressed to the highest working pressure after intermediate cooling in the cooler CH2. The part of the air that runs through the open process flows from the compressor K2 into the injection evaporator S, in which the water heated in the surface coolers CHI, CH2 evaporates on large parts inside.
The moist air then reaches the heat exchanger R1 and then flows into the combustion chamber S1 after it has been preheated. As much fuel is fed into the chamber as is necessary to bring the combustion products and the air of the closed process to the highest working temperature.
The combustion products of the open process flow from the chamber S1 into the turbine T1, where the expansion takes place to a medium pressure.
So much fuel is burned in chamber S2 that the medium-pressure combustion products heat up again to the highest temperature and then get into turbine T2, where they expand to approximately atmospheric pressure. In the heat exchanger R1 <I> </I> they give off part of their thermal energy and escape into the atmosphere.
The air of the closed process flows from the compressor K2 into the heat exchanger R2 and then, after preheating, into the heat exchanger of the combustion chamber S1. Since the pressure outside and inside the heat exchanger is the same, it is not mechanically stressed and it is possible to work in it at high temperatures.
The air heated to the highest operating temperature then expands in the turbine T3 to the lowest pressure of the closed process, releases part of the thermal energy in the heat exchanger R2 and, together with the air from the open process, enters the cooling section <B> CH .. </B> This completes the circulation.
The intercoolers CHI, <B><I>CH,</I> </B> function here as heat exchangers for the compression heat, which is used to heat a corresponding amount of pressurized water. After being injected into the injection evaporator S, the heated pressurized water evaporates in the compressed air of the open process.
The system executed according to Fig. 2 works as follows: The atmospheric air is compressed in the turbo compressor K1 to the lowest pressure of the closed process and passed into the turbo compressor K2.
The air from the closed process also reaches the compressor K2, and all air is compressed together with intermediate cooling in the coolers <B> <I> CH "CH., CH .. </I> </B> Behind the Cooler <B> CH, </B> The air from the open process passes into another cooler CH4 and is then compressed to the highest operating pressure in compressor K3.
From there, the compressed air flows into the injection evaporator S, where internal evaporation of the heated water takes place. The moist air then flows into the heat exchanger R1 and is preheated to the combustion chamber S1, in which as much fuel is burned as is sufficient to heat the combustion products of the open process and the high pressure air of the closed process to a common highest operating temperature.
The high pressure combustion products of the open process then expand in the turbine Ti to medium pressure. In the medium-pressure combustion chamber S2, enough fuel is again burned to bring both the medium-pressure combustion products of the open process and the medium-pressure air of the closed process to the highest operating temperature.
The medium-pressure combustion products then expand in turbine T2 to the lowest pressure of the closed process, cool down in heat exchanger R1 and finally expand in turbine T3 to atmospheric pressure. This ends the open process.
The air of the closed process flows into the turbo compressor K4, where it is also compressed to the highest working pressure. This is preheated in the heat exchanger R2 and heated to the highest operating temperature in the heat exchanger within the combustion chamber S1.
After expansion to medium pressure in turbine T4, the air in the heat exchanger of combustion chamber S2 is again heated to the highest working temperature and then expands in turbine T5 to the lowest pressure of the closed process.
The air then cools in the heat exchanger R2 and is subsequently cooled in the cooler CH to the outlet temperature of the compressor K1 and flows into the compressor K2. This ends the process. The water is preheated in the coolers CH1 to <B> CH, </B> and <B> CH "</B> and then injected into the injection evaporator S.
The invention is not limited to the above erläu ended and illustrated embodiments be.
