Piston pump for variable flow rate The invention relates to a piston pump for variable flow rate, with inlet and outlet valves and with at least approximately axially and circularly arranged pistons, which are driven by a swash plate of constant inclination and for the purpose of changing the flow rate together with this axially Direction can be adjusted, with the entry of funds into the pump working space through an opening in the cylinder wall and is automatically controlled by control edges sensitive to the cylinder and the piston.
A manually operated or an automatically operated mechanism can be provided for the axial adjustment of the piston system. In the latter case, the piston by acting on their inner ends pressures of the conveyor z. B. pressed against a spring. As the delivery pressure rises, the system increasingly recedes against the spring, and the delivery rate automatically and to the same extent decreases.
In a known piston pump of this type, the retraction of the piston system is used to allow a more or less large proportion of the amount of conveying medium corresponding to the full piston suction stroke to escape through a control opening opening into the cylinder wall during the subsequent pressure stroke of the piston and to convey only the remaining amount . The further the piston system retreats, the greater the partial amount that is pumped away without pressure through the control opening, and the smaller the remaining amount is conveyed.
after the inner end of the piston has passed the control opening and covered it. This well-known control method has the disadvantage that the piston should suddenly and suddenly seal against the full pressure to be applied by the pump during the pressure stroke, but the overlap between the piston end and the control opening at the beginning of the pressure stroke is only small . These unfavorable conditions make themselves felt with a small flow rate, in which the highest pressure increase z. B. up to 400 at is required, most noticeable.
Therefore, the efficiency of such pumps falls somewhat with increasing delivery pressure. from.
The invention is based on the idea to avoid these disadvantageous phenomena in a pump of the type mentioned, for. B. one with a receding piston system, not to let the flow control in the phase of the pressure stroke, but in the phase of the suction stroke.
In order to achieve the task set, the control elements are designed according to the invention in such a way that during the first suction stroke phase the amount of conveying medium determined by the axial position of the piston system occurs, that the second suction stroke phase and the first pressure phase are idle strokes and the conveyance that has occurred in the second pressure stroke phase the mid-tendon is expelled.
In a special embodiment of the inven tion, the pistons have a constriction into which the conveying means enters, the inner shoulder of the constriction forming the piston-side control edge through which the connection between the inlet opening and the pump working chamber at the end of the first phase of the suction stroke is interrupted.
Two exemplary embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are shown in the drawing. 1 to 3 show a pump as a first embodiment example, in longitudinal section and in three different degrees of exposure, FIGS. 4 to 6, a pump as a second exemplary embodiment, also in longitudinal section and in three different degrees of exposure. In the cylinder block 1, bores 2 are arranged parallel to the axis of the drive shaft 3 in a circle around it.
The pistons 4 work in the bores and are pressed against the swash plate 6 by means of the springs 5 and touch them along a surface line of the conical piston head 7. A lateral opening 8 opens into the bores 2, through which the conveying means enters via the spring-loaded suction valve 9. The delivery chamber of the cylinder 2 is closed at the lower end by a pressure valve 10, which is also spring-loaded.
The swash plate 6 is mounted in an oblique position with respect to the axis of rotation of the drive shaft 3 by means of ball bearings 12 and 13 on the support part 14 which is non-rotatably connected to the drive shaft 3. The drive shaft itself is mounted in the cylinder block 1 in the Ku gel bearings 15 and 16. The swash plate 14, which acts as a support part, rests against the sleeve 17, which is displaceable in the axial direction, by means of the ball bearing 15. This is supported against the helical spring 18, the compression of which is true by the total pressure of the piston 4 under the delivery pressure.
If the pressure that the pistons have to overcome increases, the spring 18 is compressed more and the delivery rate is thereby automatically reduced.
At a certain distance from their inner end faces, the pistons 4 have a constriction 21 of length e, the inner shoulder 22 of the constriction forming the piston-side control edge for controlling the entry of conveying means and interacting with the cylinder-side control edge 26 of the opening 8. From the constriction 21, two radial channels 23 and a central channel 24 lead to the piston end face 20.
The non-constricted part 25 of the piston must not fall below a certain length L, so that at the end of a suction stroke h in every position of the piston system, the lower edge of the inlet opening 8 remains covered by the end face 20 and no connection between the suction and the cylinder chamber 2 is produced.
To understand how it works, the pump according to FIGS. 1 to 3 is shown in three degrees of application. 1 shows the position of the piston system at maximum delivery rate and lowest delivery pressure, FIG. 3 that at zero delivery rate or almost zero delivery rate and maximum delivery pressure, while FIG. 2 shows an intermediate position. The piston on the right is located in the bottom dead center position for the relevant system setting.
From this position, the piston performs the suction stroke during its upward movement. Liquid now occurs z. B. in the position on the right in FIG. 2 through the suction valve 9 and the channel 8 into the constriction 21 of the piston and then through the channels 23 and 24 to the cylinder space located below the end surface 20. If, during the further upward movement of the piston 4, its control edge 22 sweeps over the cylinder-side control edge 26 of the channel 8, the entry of liquid is blocked.
The amount of liquid sucked in has taken the level N, while in the adjustment positions of FIGS. 2 and 3 via the sem an airless space 27 is formed according to the remaining part of the suction stroke. The dosing of the amount to be conveyed per lifting cycle takes place exclusively in the suction stroke phase. At the end of the suction stroke, since the piston is in the position shown on the left, there is still a cover length ü between the lower piston end face 20 and the lower edge of the inlet opening 8.
During the subsequent pressure stroke, the piston 4 initially runs as an idle stroke the height of the vacuum chamber 27 and only in the second pressure stroke phase is the amount of fluid that has entered the cylinder chamber pushed through the discharge valve 10 and through the channel 28.
In the considered setting of the piston system, the pump works, as already mentioned, against a medium counter pressure. The system, namely the pistons 4, the swash plate 6, the drive shaft 3 and the sleeve 17, has been raised by the counterpressure acting on the inner piston ends by an amount that corresponds to the greater compression of the spring 18.
If the pressure against which the pump has to work falls, the system lowers and assumes the setting shown in FIG. 1 at the minimum counter pressure. At the same time, the active suction stroke h ″ has risen to its maximum value in that the piston-side control edge 22 keeps the inlet opening 8 open up to the uppermost control position. The delivery rate per work cycle increases by approximately the same amount.
Conversely, if the working pressure of the system increases, the system rises and, at maximum counter pressure, reaches the setting shown in FIG. 3, in which the active suction stroke h ″ and thus the delivery rate have almost or completely decreased to zero now work during the entire or almost the entire stroke in a vacuum, as indicated in Fig. 3. In the latter case, towards the end of the pressure stroke, the actual short ejection phase follows against a very high pressure, which can for example go up to about 400 atm .
In the setting according to FIG. 3, the pressure chamber is always or almost always closed off from the inlet channel, and the piston is also in this position over a relatively large length, namely from the constriction to the seat of the spring 5 in the cylinder sealed. Even with the greatest back pressure, the leakage losses remain low and the pump's characteristic curve only drops imperceptibly.
The second exemplary embodiment shown in FIGS. 4 to 6 has the same general structure as the first example. Only the Steuervorrich device is designed differently here. At the inner end of the cylinder closes a diving chamber 31, the diameter of which is slightly larger than that of the cylinder. The resulting shoulder 32 forms the cylinder-side control edge, while on the piston side the inner shoulder 22 of the constriction 21 again works as a control edge.
The mode of operation of the liquid pumping is basically the same as in the first game Ausführungsbei, and the three figures again show the A position of the pump in its three main types of delivery: 100 1öige, reduced and zero delivery. The active suction stroke ha is equal to the distance from the respective height of the control shoulder 22 to the shoulder 32.
The flow conditions created here when the liquid enters are more favorable. -Because the amount of liquid sucked in no longer has to pass through narrow channels into the interior of the piston, but can enter the widened immersion space directly from the area of the constriction.
In order to achieve short overall lengths, it is expedient to set the length L of the piston part 25 adjacent to the inner shoulder 22 of the constriction 21 and the control stroke c (see FIGS. 4 and 6) of the piston system as large as the piston stroke h itself watch.
