Main closure for water pipes in buildings With the current arrangement of the main water pipe tap in buildings, it is necessary to drain the distribution pipe to prevent the water from freezing in winter. Additional auxiliary taps are also required, and correct operation involves cumbersome tap manipulation.
This work is to be simplified by the present invention in such a way that only a single organ has to be operated to shut off the main line to the distribution line and to connect the latter to the outlet or vice versa.
According to the invention, this is achieved in that a piston slide, which is provided with an operating spindle, connects the main line with the distribution line in one end position and shuts off the outlet, in an intermediate position the main line, the distribution line, by adjustment in a housing having the branching of the distribution line and the outlet and shuts off the outlet and in its other end position shuts off the main line and connects the distribution line to the outlet.
This closure naturally also allows the connection between the main line and the distribution line to be partially throttled.
In the drawing, an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown, namely: Fig. 1 shows a longitudinal section of the main closure in which the waterway from the main line to the distribution line is open and the outlet is closed, and 2 shows a longitudinal section of the closure in which the waterway from the main line to the distribution line is blocked and the waterway from the latter to the outlet is open.
The main closure shown has a housing part 2 which is provided with a flange 2a and which is connected to the main line 1 . The distribution line 3 branches off from this housing part 2. The piston-shaped part 4 of a slide 5 is ground into the bore of the housing part and is axially movable and rotatable in the bore with the remaining part of the slide.
The slide 5 is provided with a spindle 5a, which is guided in a part 6 connected to the housing part 2 and formed as a bearing piece from "e" and at its outer end with it an operating handle 7 . The slide 5 is provided with an external thread 8 , with which it is provided with an internal thread 9 </ B> of the bearing piece 6 is screw-adjustable. The latter is screwed coaxially to a threaded extension of the housing part 2 by means of a union nut 10 and has a downwardly directed outlet 11 provided.
The slide 5 is also provided with an axial through-bore 12 which extends as far as the piston part 4, in which the bore is closed by a filler pin 13 . The through-hole 12 is opened to the side at both of its ends through a transverse hole 14 and / or 15 .
The axial distance between the two transverse bores 14, 15 corresponds to the axial distance between the distribution line 3 and the outlet 11, so that when the transverse bore 14 is adjusted to the Distribution line 3 this is set via the through hole 12 and the cross hole 15 to the outlet 11 , as is the case in FIG. 2.
The main lock described replaces two to three single taps. It is used to open, partially throttle or completely shut off the water supply to the distribution line, as can be seen from FIG. 1. It is also possible, as FIG. 2 shows, to completely shut off the main line and at the same time to open the connection of the distribution line with the outlet and the opening of the latter. A single operating handle 7 is provided for performing all of these positions. When emptying the distribution line, at least one cock located in the upper end part of the same must of course be opened.
