In hydraulischen Drucksystemen, z.
Pilot operated safety valve The subject of the present invention is a pilot operated safety valve, in particular for hydraulic pressure media.
In hydraulic pressure systems, e.g. B. in hydrostatic transmissions, working as pressure relief valves, pilot-operated safety valves are often required which, when a certain pressure is exceeded in the high-pressure part, allow pressure medium to flow out of this into the low-pressure part. In the case of pressure systems in which the pressure sides change in the company, two valves are therefore necessary.
A valve has also become known which is effective in both directions and is therefore capable of working even with changing pressure sides. The known valve has two pre-control valves for this purpose, each of which is assigned to a pressure side and the main valve opens when a maximum pressure is exceeded on the same. If different maximum pressures are required on the two pressure sides, such a safety valve, which requires two pilot valves, can be used with advantage; on the other hand, its use is only poorly justified if exactly the same maximum pressures are required for both printed sides.
The arrangement of two pilot valves requires not only the amount of work involved in setting them, so that they open the main valve at the same pressures, but also a certain amount of construction and expense.
The present invention now aims to create a pilot operated safety valve which can avoid the disadvantages described above and has a main valve which connects two openings arranged in a valve housing and intended for connection to one pressure side each.
The safety valve according to the invention is characterized in that two check valves are provided in the main valve piston, each of which connects one of the openings to a common pressure chamber provided behind the main valve piston in the housing, and that this pressure chamber is connected to a single pilot valve, with two opening surfaces are provided on the main valve piston, each of which faces one of the openings mentioned,
and the pressure prevailing in the pressure chamber acts on a closing surface provided on the main valve piston.
The drawing shows an example of an embodiment of the pilot operated safety valve according to the invention.
1 with a valve housing is designated, which has a cylindrical bore 2. In this bore a cylindrical valve sleeve 4 is arranged, which is held in place in the bore by a flange cover 5 resting against the upper side thereof. The flange cover 5 is fastened to the valve housing 1 by means of screws 6. The valve sleeve has in its lower part a circumferential groove 7 which is connected via radial bores 8 to the cylinder space 9 formed by the sleeve.
The adjoining below the bores 8 conical part 3 of the valve sleeve has a reduced inner diameter a and forms an upwardly directed annular valve seat 10. In the cylinder chamber 9 of the closing body of the main valve, the cup-shaped valve piston 11 is slidably arranged, which is arranged on its bottom piece 12 is provided with an annular closing surface 13. This interacts with the valve seat 10 when the valve piston is in the closed position.
A hollow guide pin 15 protrudes into the bore 14 of the valve piston 11 and is fastened in a centered position between the valve sleeve 4 and the flange cover 5 by means of a flange 16 provided at its upper end. On the flange 16 a helical compression spring 17 is supported, which is pushed onto the guide pin 15 and on the other hand rests on the bottom piece 12 of the valve piston 11 so that it is held in its closed position shown in the drawing.
The bore 18 of the guide pin 15 contains a slidable pilot valve closing body 19 which, under the action of a compression spring 20, closes a pilot valve opening 21 that connects the drilling 18 with the space 22 between guide pin 15 and control body 19. The control body is penetrated by liquid channels 23 which are in communication with an annular space 25 via radial grooves 24 provided in the flange cover 5. The annular space 25, which is formed between the valve sleeve 4 and hole 2 in the valve housing 1, is via a drain hole 26 in this last direct, z. B. with a sump, not shown, for the pressure medium in connection.
The spring 20 extends through a central threaded hole 27 in the flange cover 5 and is supported with its upper end in -einer adjusting screw 28, which is screwed into the threaded hole 27. The adjusting screw is secured against rotation in the flange cover 5 by means of a nut 29 and is covered by a cap 30 screwed onto the flange cover.
In the bottom piece 12 of the valve piston 11 two check valves 31 and 32 are provided in the form of spring-loaded balls, one of which via a channel 33 the entry of liquid from the bores 8 and the other the one enters the liquid through a channel 34 from the Allowed bore 3 in the space 22, while these valves prevent the outflow of liquid in the opposite direction. The valve housing 1 has two connection bores 35 and 36, of which the former is in communication with the annular groove 7 and the latter with the bore 3.
The mode of operation of the safety valve described below is based on the assumption that the connection bores 35 and 36 alternately with the high-pressure or the low-pressure side of a liquid speed pump, for.
B. transmission in a hydrostatic vehicle, the same has the purpose, when a certain maximum pressure is exceeded on the high pressure side, the connec tion between the bores 35 and 36 to give free and pressure medium to flow off on the low pressure side.
It is assumed that the bore 35 is connected to the high pressure side. In this case, pressure medium can enter the space 22 from the circumferential groove 7 via the bores 8, the channel 33 and the open check valve 31, so that the pressure on the high pressure side we kende prevails in this space, since the check valve 32 is closed .
The pressure prevailing inside the space 22 acts on a circular area of diameter d on the valve piston 11 and, supported by the pressure of the spring 17, presses it against the valve seat 10. The annular area determined by the radial width b.-bi Pressure of the medium acting in the bores 8 is not able to lift the valve piston off the valve seat 10 or to establish the connection with the bore 3 due to the forces acting in the closing direction.
The pressure present in the space 22 also acts via the bore 21 on the control body 19 of the pilot control valve, which, however, is held in its closed position under the action of the compression spring 20. The compression spring 20 is set by means of the adjusting screw 28 to a certain bias, wel che corresponds to the response pressure of the pilot valve ent or determines this response pressure.
If the pressure prevailing on the high pressure side or in the bores 8 and in the space 22 exceeds the response pressure of the pilot valve, the control body 19 moves upwards against the action of the spring 20, so that pressure medium from the space 22 through the bore 21 and the bores 23 flows into the bore 18, which is connected to the drainage channel 26 via the grooves 24. Since the channel 33 has only a small cross-section and acts as a throttle point, a pressure difference forms between the bores 8 and the space 22, the smaller pressure in the space 22, acting on the area d, not being able to control the valve piston 11 to hold in the closed position.
Against the action of the spring 17, the valve piston 11 is displaced upwards by the pressure acting on the surface b2 bi, so that pressure medium can flow out of the bores 8 into the bore 3, which is connected to the low-pressure side.
The pilot valve and main valve close again as soon as the pressure in space 22 is adjusted to the response pressure again and there is no longer a pressure difference between this space and the high pressure side.
If the bore 3 is closed on the high pressure side, the mode of operation corresponds to that described above with the exception that the space 22 is connected to this high pressure side via the check valve 32 and the channel 34. In addition, the pressure acting over the surface a is decisive for the opening of the main valve or the displacement of the valve piston 11.
The flowing out through the drain hole 26 liquid, for. B. Oil, can be caught up in an oil sump and used again.
After the pilot valve is alternately effective for both pressure sides due to its connection with the space 22, it is ensured that the set maximum pressure cannot be exceeded on the respective high pressure side.
While in the embodiment dargestell th in the drawing, the regulation of the spring tension and thus the response pressure is done by means of the screw 28, could instead act under the pressure of a control medium ble piston on the spring. It would be conceivable here to arrange the piston so that it can move between several end positions in order to be able to set predetermined fixed values for the preload of the spring.
