mer une rangée;
Device for automatically transferring articles from a first debit station
in series and continuously to a second post where they must report
in successive rows
The automation of industrial production is today one of the main concerns of technicians who seek, by this means, to manufacture products faster and better and cheaper than those obtained using traditional methods.
In mass production and in the line of articles which are successively subjected to various operations, one of the problems to be solved in order to make the operation of the line fully automatic is the automatic transfer of these articles from a work station. next. Often the way these items appear at the exit of one station is different from the way they should appear at the next station. There is a difficulty to be overcome in order to fully automate a production line, which goes beyond the framework of a simple transport problem.
A difficulty of this nature arises in brickyards where the mud bricks are continuously and serially fed at a relatively rapid rate by a molding station and must pass in rows or in bundles at a relatively slow speed in the drying station. .
The present invention, which generally applies to the transfer of articles from one workstation to another, makes it possible to find an advantageous solution to this problem, in the particular case where it is a question of conveying automatically bricks or other products from the molding station to the drying station.
The device which is the subject of the invention is characterized by the fact that it comprises - a conveyor belt, driven by a movement
continuous translation, receiving the articles at their
exit from the first station, two conveyor belts
endless machines arranged in the extension
one from the other, perpendicular to the tape,
on which slide the articles arriving at the ex
end of the latter; - means intended to move axially and
simultaneously these bands so as to direct
the articles carried by the tape on one or
the other of them, means leading to these
bands, whenever an item arrives on
one of them, with an interval corresponding to the
longitudinal dimension of the articles, considered
with respect to the axis of the bands, so as to
sea a row;
- at least one endless conveyor belt intended
bring the items to the second station and say
laid perpendicular to the strips, on one side
of these; - a pusher for each strip. intended to do
slide on the carpet, and one after the other, the ran
ages of successively formed articles; - a counter controlling the simulated movement
tanned bands when a row is
complete; - means controlling the push button associated with the
band carrying a full row at the time
where this row is opposite the rows
previous ones.
The single figure of the appended drawing represents, in perspective and by way of example, one embodiment of the object of the invention.
The device shown is intended to transfer the bricks from the molding station not shown, located in direction A where they are delivered in series and continuously, to the drying station not shown located in direction Z where they travel relatively slowly. in rows. The device comprises an endless conveyor belt 10, driven in a continuous translational movement, which receives the bricks, one after the other, at the outlet of the molding station, two endless conveyor belts 11 and 12 taking into account load the bricks transported by the tape 10, and two endless conveyor belts 13 and 14 passing through the drying station driven in an intermittent movement, at an adjustable speed, by a motor not shown. It would also be possible to replace the two belts with screens moving on raceways.
These transport means (tape, bands, carpet) are mounted on a metal frame 15 and their conveyor layers designated respectively by 10a, 11a, 12a, 13a, and 14a, all move in the same horizontal plane.
The webs 11a and 12a are arranged perpendicularly and at the end of the web 10a. The webs 13a and 14a extend perpendicularly to the webs 11a and 12a on one of the edges thereof.
The sheets 11a and 12a are stretched over the rollers of a carriage 16, moving on the frame 15 in the direction of the double arrow F, under the action of an arm 17 actuated by a hydraulic cylinder 18, between two positions - Extremes for which the end of each of these sheets is respectively in the extension of the sheet 10a. Counterweight tensioners 30 maintain the mechanical tension of the bands 11 and 12 at a substantially constant value for the various positions of the carriage 16.
The surfaces of the strip 10 and the strips 11 and 12 are smooth so that the bricks arriving at the end of the web 10a slide on the web 11a or on the web 12a.
The bands 11 and 12 are connected, via the rollers 19 and 20, to two independent electric drive motors, not shown, which are arranged so as to move them respectively in the directions of the arrows F1 and F. These bands however, do not advance continuously like the ribbon 10 but intermittently.
This advance is controlled by a photoelectric cell 21 on which falls a light brush 22 emanating from a source 23. This brush is placed on the path of the bricks sliding from the tape 10 on one of the bands 11 or 12. When it is intercepted, it activates the drive motor of the corresponding belt. The movement is stopped when the cell is again impressed.
A selector not shown, the movable member of which is actuated by the arm 17, fixes, depending on the position of the carriage 16, the drive motor (of the strip 11 or of the strip 12) that the cell 21 must control .
A counter, not shown, totals the interceptions of the brush 22 and, when they reach a determined number (eight in the present case), it controls the reversal of the pressure in the cylinder 18 which causes the arm 17 to switch.
When the carriage 16 arrives at the second end of its stroke, for which the strip 12 receives the bricks and points them on the belt 14, the arm 17 acts on a distributor, not shown which temporarily reverses the pressure in a cylinder 24 controlling a pusher 25 extending over the entire length of the strip 11. This pusher then performs a back-and-forth movement between the position in which it is shown and a position corresponding to that occupied in the drawing by a second pusher 26 identical to the one. pusher 24 and associated with tape 12, the movements of which are controlled by a cylinder 27.
During its movement, the pusher 14 moves the row of bricks on the belt 13, the structure of which is such that the contact surface of the bricks is minimum and allows the drying air to act as uniformly as possible over their whole. area.
The process continues with the formation of a row on the strip 12 then by the movement of this row on the belt 14 following a back and forth movement of the pusher 26 controlled by the cylinder 27.
Other embodiments are possible; in particular one could envisage a device comprising only one belt occupying the width of the two belts of the embodiment shown. One or the other of the hydraulic control devices could also be replaced by other devices, for example pneumatic, electrical or mechanical.
