Room ventilation device The present invention relates to a room ventilation device, characterized in that it comprises two S-shaped ventilation channels, arranged in the same wall of this room, one of them being placed at the lower part of the wall, so that the air entering the room follows an upward path through the wall, the other being placed at the upper part of the wall, so that the air leaving the room also follows an upward path through the wall.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a perspective view of the device installed in a wall; fig. 2 is a section on I-I of FIG. 1; fig. 3 is a section on II-II of FIG. 1. The device shown comprises two S-shaped channels 1 and 2, having a rectangular section over their entire length and placed in a wall 3 of a room 4, not shown.
The channel 1 is placed at the lower part of one of the ends of the wall 3 and is oriented so that the opening located at the end of the lower branch of the S ends in the outer face 5 of the wall 3, the opening located at the end of the upper branch of the S opening into the inner face 6 of said wall. Thus, the air passing through channel 1 to enter room 4, in the direction of arrows 7, follows an ascending path.
Channel 2 is installed at the top of wall 3, at the end opposite to that where channel 1 is placed and its orientation is such that the opening at the end of the lower branch of the S ends in the inner face 6 of the wall 3, the opening located at the end of the upper branch of the S opening into the outer face 5 of said wall. Therefore, the air passing through channel 2 to leave room 4, in the direction of arrows 8, also follows an upward path.
The ventilation device shown is particularly suitable for stables, barns or pigsties and acts as follows The hot air, which tends to rise, rushes into the lower opening of channel 2 and rises in the latter to exit room 4 , in the direction of the arrows. 8. This movement causes a call for air inside the room 4, this air entering said room through the channel 1. This results in a continuous supply of fresh air in the room 4, the shape in S channels 1 and 2 acting as baffles and preventing the formation of a draft.
Channels 1 and 2 can be made of clay, concrete or plastic.
