Description
Method for producing the rotor of a turbo group for an elastic medium The present invention relates to a method for producing the rotor of a turbo group for an elastic medium, in which the turbine rotor is directly connected to the rotor of a centrifugal compressor via a common shaft is coupled. The compressor can advantageously be used to supercharge an internal combustion engine from which the exhaust gases are used to drive the turbine which drives the compressor.
In such applications the speed at which the compressor is driven is determined by the pressure of the exhaust gases, and in order to make the whole sensitive to small changes in the exhaust gas pressure it is desirable to reduce the mass moment of inertia of the rotor of the group to a minimum.
According to the invention, the turbine rotor is cast by a lost core method, which allows the blades of the rotor to be kept thin with a high degree of accuracy, whereby the mass moment of inertia can be kept to a minimum, according to the accuracy with which the blades. are generated, the same ge sufficient strength for their intended use can have. Under method with lost core here is a method to be understood in which a mold cavity by means of a lost core, for.
B. a wax core is generated.
The rotor of the compressor is made of light metal, e.g. B. aluminum or its alloys, sprayed, and his. The mass moment of inertia can thus be kept to a minimum.
The heat to which the turbine rotor is exposed and the stress to which the blades are subjected at high speed make it desirable to manufacture the turbine rotor by the aforesaid method.
