In bestimmten Fällen, z.
Device for regulating the flow of a flowing medium In known devices serving to regulate the flow of a flowing medium, the regulation takes place by increasing or reducing the free flow cross-section. In some cases, such as regulating the flow rate of the heating medium in heating systems or of the hot water in hot water preparation or
-supply systems, it is desirable to be able to change the maximum possible flow rate in a presettable manner without, however, changing the control characteristics of the device.
In order to be able to achieve the purpose of the invention, the device according to the invention has a movable control element in a housing through which the medium flows to change the free flow cross-section of the housing and a device for the adjustable limitation of the movement of the control element in the sense of increasing the flow cross-section.
An embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in the accompanying drawing. It shows: FIG. 1 the device according to the invention in axial section, FIG. 2 a broken section along the line 11-II in FIG. 1, FIG. 3 a cross-section along the line III-III in FIG. 1 and FIG the device removable part of the mentioned device serving to limit the movement of the regulating member.
In a housing 3 provided with an inlet connection 1 and an outlet connection 2, a seat bore 5 and a valve seat 4 surrounding the seat bore 5 are arranged following the inlet connection 1 in the direction of flow.
A guided in the seat bore 5 cylindrical hollow slide 6 (see also Fig. 2) is ver see with diametrically opposite / \ -shaped recesses 8, which, as will be explained in more detail below, the initially fine and then increasingly coarse flow regulation serve the medium. In addition, the slide 8 is connected to a valve plate 7, which cooperates with the valve seat 4 and rests on this in the representation of FIGS. 1 and 2.
Two dia metrically opposite guide cams 9 engage in guide grooves 10 (FIG. 2) of the housing 3 and thereby prevent rotation of the valve head 7, which is attached to the end of a shaft 11 provided with a trapezoidal thread is. The shaft 11 engages in a threaded hole 12 of a cylindri's intermediate piece 13, which has a shoulder 14 which is held by means of a nut 15 screwed into the housing 3 against a deposition of the housing 3 and thus against axial displacement. Otherwise, however, the nut 15 does not rule out a rotation of the intermediate piece 13 about its own axis.
A guide sleeve 16, which is screwed into the housing 3, is used to guide and actual rotatable mounting of the intermediate piece 13 in the housing 3, with a school ter 17 of the guide sleeve 16 resting on the housing 3 with a sealing ring 18 in between. In a groove in the bore of the guide sleeve 16, an O-ring 19 is arranged, which prevents the penetration of the medium between the intermediate piece 13 and the guide sleeve.
The end of the intermediate piece 13 facing the valve disk 7 is provided with an annular rib 20, the determination of which will be explained in more detail. At the other end of the intermediate piece is a prismatic, z. B. triangular or square offset 21 is formed, which surrounds the mouth of a bore 22 extending in the axial direction into the threaded hole 12. At the end of the bore 22 facing the thread hole Ge, a thread 23 and at the other end of the bore 22 a thread 24 is provided.
In the thread 23 is a part of the above-mentioned device for limiting the movement of the control member forming an adjusting screw 25 is screwed, which one end engages in the threaded hole 12. At the other end of the screw 25, a cylindrical screw head 26 which fits into the bore 22 is formed, which is sealed in the bore 22 by means of an O-ring 27. A transverse web 28 is located on the end face of the screw head. A screw 29 screwed into the thread 24 is used to fasten a rotary handle 30 attached to the shoulder 21 on the intermediate piece 13.
In FIG. 4, the remaining parts, designated as a whole by 35, of the device used to limit the movement of the regulating member are shown. This includes a shank 31 which to a certain extent forms the extension of the screw 25 and which is provided with a transverse slot 32 at one end, a transverse cutting edge 33 at the other end, and a handle 34.
The transverse slot 32 interacts with the transverse rib 28 in a form-fitting manner when the device parts 35 are in their position of use, that is to say they are pushed onto the screw 25 after the screw 29 has been removed. On the shaft 31 is provided with scales 36 and 37 bracket 38 slidably leads GE, one of the front ends of which rests in the position of use of the device parts 35 at the end of the intermediate piece 13. On the bracket 38 penetrating portion of the shaft 31, a marker disk 39 is attached, which cooperates with the scales 36 and 37 and also prevents the fall of the bracket 38 from the shaft 31 changed.
The cutting edge 33 of the shank serves as a screwdriver for the screw 29.
In the position of the regulating organ according to FIGS. 1 and 2, consisting essentially of the slide 6 and the valve disk 7, the valve disk 7 resting on the valve seat 4 blocks the flow of the medium from the inlet connector 1 in the direction of the outlet connector 2.
By turning the handle 30, as already mentioned, the shaft 11 secured against rotation by the guide cams 9 is pulled into the intermediate piece, the valve disk 7 first being lifted from its seat and then the pointed ends of the recesses 8 coming out of the seat bore and in this way, a flow cross-section that is still tightly dimensioned is released.
As the regulating organ moves further as a result of the twisting of the handle 30, the free flow cross-section increases in accordance with the A -shaped shape of the recesses 8 with an initially weak, but then increasingly increasing progressivity, so there is a fine regulation by an ever greater the regulation of the flow is replaced. It goes without saying that the control characteristic is a function of the shape of the recesses 8.
The lifting of the regulating member and thus the enlargement of the flow cross section are set by the end of the shaft 11 resting on the end of the screw 25. In the setting position of the screw 25 shown, the maximum stroke of the control element can be used, and thus the largest possible flow cross-section can be released.
If the mobility of the regulating member is restricted in the sense of enlarging the flow cross-section by screwing the screw 25 into the threaded hole 12, the maximum flow cross-section and thus the maximum flow rate is practically reduced. In doing so - which should be emphasized in particular - there is no change in the control characteristic.
The adjustable limitation of the movement of the regulating member, that is, the turning of the screw 25, takes place with the help of the remaining device parts 35. If the shaft 31 is placed on the screw 25 and the bracket 38 rests on the intermediate piece 13, the marking disk 39 points to one the scales 36 or 37 indicate the respective setting position of the screw 25.
In principle, the screw 25 and the shaft 31 could be connected to one another. However, the shown embodiment of said device contributes to the fact that the device parts 35 can be removed from the device, taking into account the requirement to be able to prevent unauthorized persons from making or changing the setting. In certain cases, e.g. B. when undertaking the setting of several facilities is incumbent on one and the same person, the embodiment shown proves to be particularly beneficial in that the same device parts 35 can be used for several facilities. The attachment of several scales even allows the operation of facilities of various sizes.
In other cases in which the protection against unauthorized actions is superfluous and the shaft 31 is firmly connected to the screw 25, it is sufficient to keep the shaft 31 short and to provide it with a rotary knob. The shaft 31 could then be guided through a drilled screw 29, and the head of this screw could act as a marking element with a scale attached to the shaft itself. This possibility can also be carried out if the shaft 31 can be plugged together with the screw 25, as shown.
When the screw 25 is completely withdrawn from the threaded hole 12, the control element can be raised so far by turning the rotary handle 30 until the valve disk comes to rest on the annular rib 20 of the intermediate piece 13. The access of the medium to the threaded hole 12 is blocked by the turns of the trapezoidal thread on the shaft 11, and the screw 25 can be removed from the intermediate piece 13 without loss of medium. In this way it is possible to replace the O-ring 27 in the screw head 26 without any special dismantling. The process is similar when the O-ring of the intermediate piece 13: has to be replaced.
