Coupling device between an engine and a work machine The invention relates to a coupling device between an engine and a single-bearing machine with respect to its shaft, for. B. between an internal combustion piston engine and an electric generator whose axes are centered by a support joint at least in one point who the. By the invention, a device with a torsion spring, the torsional vibrations dampening coupling is achieved, which only transmits the drive torque and does not have to absorb any supporting forces, as in known couplings.
The inven tion is that the shaft of the working machine is supported on the machine facing Wel lenende of the engine only via the centering joint, while it receives the drive torque via the torsion spring clutch. The torsional vibrations are already absorbed and dampened in the torsionally resilient coupling. They are therefore harmless to the work machine.
The arrangement according to the invention is very short, especially if the torsion spring coupling is arranged concentrically around the only centering support joint.
According to one embodiment of the invention, the centering support joint between the work machine shaft and the engine shaft can consist of a self-adjusting roller bearing, e.g. B. consist of a self-aligning roller bearing, the bearing movement results only from the torque-dependent yielding of the torsionally spring-loaded clutch of the torque transmitted.
So that the rolling elements of such a bearing do not strike at the same points on the races, an indexing mechanism can advantageously be arranged between the rolling element cage and the machine shaft, which is switched by the torque. In this way, each time a sufficient torque occurs, the cage is shifted relative to the inner race on the machine shaft and locked against backward shifting, so that the supporting forces are continuously transmitted to other points and thus the bearing does not get any impact points.
The drawing shows two embodiments of the invention, namely Fig. 1 shows a coupling between an internal combustion piston engine and a single-bearing electric generator with respect to its shaft in a schematic Dar position in longitudinal center section, Fig. 2 shows another embodiment of a hitch development between the same machines in detailed Licherer Representation and on a larger scale and FIG. 3 schematically shows a stepping mechanism.
In Fig. 1, 11 is the drive shaft of an internal combustion piston engine and 12 is its end bearing in the housing. With 13 the armature of an electric generator is indicated, which is superimposed with its shaft 14 with a single bearing 15 in the housing 16 of the generator GE. The generator housing 16 is attached to the engine housing by a connection 17.
The armature shaft 14 is supported in an articulated manner on the other side with a ball 18 on a joint socket 19 of the engine shaft 11, so that the engine shaft 11 and the electric generator shaft 14 are jointly supported in the bearing 12. As a result of the support joint 18, 19, which forms the only mutual support of the shafts, the two machine axes are centered at least in one point and therefore do not need to be aligned with such meticulous precision.
The torque is generated by a torsionally resilient coupling element 20, for. B. made of rubber. On the engine side, the coupling element 20 is attached, for. B. vulcanized, on a flange 21, which is arranged on the joint socket 19, and on the machine side on a flange 22 which is attached to the shaft 14 of the electric generator.
In Fig.2 11 is again the shaft of the engine, which is mounted with the bearing 12 in the engine housing. 17 is the fixed connection between the engine housing and the working machine housing. A stub shaft of the generator armature is designated by 23, and a hollow cylindrical continuation of the engine shaft 11 corresponding to the joint socket 19 (FIG. 1) is designated by 24.
Between the stub shaft 23 and the cylindrical extension 24 a self-aligning roller bearing 25 is arranged, which has the same effect as the support joint 18, 19 (FIG. 1). The stub shaft 23 has a flange 26 and this in turn engages the cylinder extension 27 around the stub shaft 24. A torsion-spring coupling element 28 is arranged between the cylinder extensions 24 and 27, which concentrically surrounds the self-aligning roller bearing.
The torsionally resilient coupling element consists in a known manner, for. B. made of rubber metal, which engages with serrations 29 and 30 in the machine shaft ends 24 and 27, respectively.
In FIG. 3, the roles of the self-aligning roller bearing 25, which are arranged in a cage 32, are indicated by 31. The cage 32 has on one end face a saw toothing 33 into which a pawl 34 attached to the stub shaft 23 engages. Due to the stepping mechanism formed in this way, each time a sufficient torque occurs, the roller cage 32 is displaced relative to the inner race 35 of the bearing 25, which is fastened to the shaft 23 butt, and is locked against moving back.
When the clutch springs back, the outer ring of the self-aligning roller bearing 25 slides on the rollers which, held by the roller cage, do not change their position relative to the inner race 35 and the stub shaft 23. As the roller cage 32 and thus the rollers move on in only one direction, the supporting forces are continuously transmitted to other locations, so that the bearing 25 does not get any impact points.
