wodurch die Kontakt paare 152, 160 und 168 geöffnet werden. Zugleich mit der öffnung des Schalters 144 wird ein Kontakt paar 176 und 177 geschlossen, um einen Stromkreis des Zeitsteuermotors 155 zur Anschlussleitung 146 zu schliessen, so dass der Zeitsteuermotor 155 auch nach dem Abfallen des Relais 143 unter Spannung steht und so lange unter Spannung bleibt, bis das Segment 174 in die in der Zeichnung dargestellte Stellung zurückkehrt;
Beverage dispensing machine The invention relates to beverage dispensing machines and, in particular, beverage dispensing devices in which a cup-like vessel filled with a beverage is automatically dispensed to a customer from a beverage dispensing machine. when this has activated a certain device in the machine.
Although beverage dispensers have been in use for many years, the designs have not yet been capable of satisfactorily solving two workflow-related problems. One problem relates to the storage of a large number of cup-shaped vessels, from which a vessel is then fed to a beverage dispensing nozzle of the machine by a simple and reliable device.
In the previous designs, the arrangement is such that a plurality of stacks of vessels are seen on a tower, through the movement of which each individual stack is moved over a transport channel so as to feed the vessels to the filling station. Such constructions are relatively complicated in structure and in the we act, also very prone to failure, and their production is expensive. The second problem relates to the hygienic filling of the vessels with the drink and the transfer of the filled vessel to the customer.
In order to reduce the production costs of this device in the known machines, the vessel is filled in front of the customer in practically all cases, and this requires that the dispensing nozzle protrudes from the machine and so unsanitary conditions result. Ultraviolet rays or other means were used to disinfect the nozzles. However, these measures do not fully satisfy a11.
According to the invention, in beverage dispensing machines with at least one stack of cup-like vessels, one of which can be removed when the machine is operated appropriately and can be filled with a certain amount of liquid via a dispensing nozzle, the arrangement is such that the machine has a Has vessel drainage device in order to transport the vessel to be filled and dispensed under the dispensing nozzle, and a feed device in order to move it through a dispensing opening onto a dispensing platform after filling.
Due to this construction, the dispensing nozzle is no longer accessible from the outside, so that the filling takes place under completely hygienic conditions. Furthermore, the opening of the machine housing can be relatively small and only exceed the profile of the vessel by a little, so that it is hardly possible to enter the inside of the machine housing with one hand from the outside. In addition, the beverage dispenser according to the invention cannot be deactivated from the outside.
An exemplary embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing. 1 shows a diagrammatic front view of a vending machine for beverages, FIG. 2 shows a partial side view of the machine, partly in section, FIG. 3 shows a section along line 3-3 of FIG. 2 to illustrate the cup draining device, FIG Top view of the cup drainage device according to FIG. 2, with certain parts removed,

individual switches and the associated parts of the machine are also shown.
In the drawing, in particular in FIG. 1, a vending machine 10 is shown, which has a coin slot 13 in which a suitable coin or a slot mark, not shown, is inserted to put the machine 10 into operation, the one with a Beverage-filled cup 14 is conveyed through a dispensing opening 15 to an output compartment 16.
In Fig. 2, a cup discharge device 18 and a feed device 19 is shown, which are syn chronically driven by a drive unit 20 with an electric motor and a reduction gear.
As best shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, the cup discharge device has a plurality of cooperating, rotatable discharge wheels 22, each of which has threaded parts 23 on the circumference, which are arranged so that they the upper edges or lips 25 record a plurality of cups 24 and in a predetermined order, the cups 24 drop down from the stack concerned.
As shown, four stacks of cups 24 and nine discharge wheels 22 are provided in a square, eight of which are equally spaced along the edge of the square, while the ninth discharge wheel is provided in the middle of the square. All wheels 22 are arranged at the same height paral lel to each other.
The arrangement of the wheels 22 (see in particular FIG. 4) results in a total of four supply channels arranged next to one another, into which the cups 24 are inserted alternately from the cup stack in a corresponding selection and are transported further there by the constant rotation of the wheels 22.
In each work cycle of the machine 10, which is set in motion for example by inserting a coin into the slot 13, the drive unit 20 is energized until one of the cups 24 falls into a conical channel 27 by a corresponding rotation, from where it is then transported to a cup filling platform 28. While the wheels 22 are now turning to drop one of the cups 24 into the channel 27, a rotatably arranged conveyor platform 29 on which an empty cup was previously placed has this cup from a liquid filling station at which the cup was filled , moved further into an output position which is located directly opposite the output position 15 on the front part of the machine 10.
When the filled cup has been transported into the output position opposite the opening 15, a driver 30, which can move back and forth along a diameter of the platform 29 and has thrust surfaces 30a and 30b on opposite sides, in the direction of the opening 15 moved so as to push the filled Be cher 14 onto the output tray 16.
When the driver 30 pushes the filled cup 14 onto the output tray 16, a finger 32 is pivoted counterclockwise according to FIG. 2 about its pin part 33 so as to remove the empty cup from the filling platform 28 to the platform immediately behind the driver 30 29 to slide.
When the driver 30 has been transported to the extreme end of its stroke in the direction of the opening 15 for completely sliding the filled cup 14 onto the output compartment 16 and an empty cup 14 onto the platform 29 with the aid of the finger 32, the finger 32 is withdrawn, and the platform 29 rotates a predetermined angle, such as l20, to move the empty cup 24 under a liquid dispensing nozzle 39 (Fig. 13), and at the same time one of two arcuate jacket closure members 35 and 35a,
which correspond in shape to segments of a truncated cone jacket, pivoted in front of the opening 15. The motor 20 is then switched off and the platform 29 thereby stopped. The dispensing opening 15 is now closed and an empty cup is in the filling position below the dispensing nozzle 39. When the machine is started again, the liquid flowing out of the nozzle 39 fills the cup and the platform 29 rotates long until the filled cup is opposite the opening 15.
During the movement of the filled cup from the filling station to the transport station, a cup 24 falls through the discharge device 18 onto the platform 28. Therefore, when a filled cup reaches the transport station opposite the dispensing opening 15, the driver 30 is moved in the direction of the opening 15, to push the filled cup onto the dispensing tray 16, and the finger 32 pushes the empty cup from the filling platform 28 onto the conveyor platform 29. The latter then rotates through the necessary angle so as to move the empty cup 24 under the dispensing nozzle 39. This latter position is shown in FIG.
The cup draining device will now be described in detail below. The side and corner wheels 22 are fastened, for example, by fastening screws to a vertically arranged shaft 36 each, which are arranged rotatably in a rectangular support frame 37. A series of ribs 37a arranged on the frame hold a shaft 36a on which the central wheel 22 is mounted. The support frame 37 can be a cast part with a large number of upwardly projecting lugs 38 in which head bolts 40 are provided which connect the frame 37 to a suitable support plate 41.
The plate 41 is fastened to the front wall of the machine 10 by means of an elbow 42, and the rear end of the plate 41 rests on feet 43 which extend upwards from the base of the machine. In order to be able to turn the side and corner gears 22, a gear 47 is attached to each of the shafts 36, and all but one of the gears 47 - this one is denoted by 47 '- are driven via a double ring gear 48. The double ring gear 48 has outer teeth 49 which mesh with the Zahnrä countries belonging to the four corner gears 22, and also inner teeth 50 which mesh with the gears 47 belonging to the four side gears 22.
The double ring gear 48 is driven by the drive unit 20 via a transmission which has a gear 51 (see FIG. 3), a gear 52 meshing with it and fastened to a drive shaft 53 and a pair of bevel gears 54 (see FIG. 2) , so that the drive shaft 53 is positively connected to the drive unit 20. Therefore, when the drive unit 20 is energized, the gear 51 rotates and drives the associated shaft 36 and thereby also the ring gear 48.
The shaft 36 a of the center gear 22 has a bevel gear 56 (Fig. 3) and is driven by one of the shafts 36 via a shaft 57 (Fig. 4), the bevel gears 58 and 59 on opposite ends carries, which in turn with the Tooth wheel 56 or a bevel gear 60 mesh on the shaft concerned. In this case, a shaft 36 cooperating with one of the Be ten wheels 22 for driving the center wheel 22 is selected so that the shaft 57 does not collide with the discharge of the cups 24. From the above, it can be seen that the double ring gear 48 is an intermediate gear, with the shaft of which all the wheels 22 are driven synchronously.
In the following, the operation of the cup discharge device 18 will now be described, and it is assumed that the discharge wheels 22 are in the positions according to FIG. 4, so that the four discharge wheels 22, which with the one in the upper right corner of FIG. 4 cooperate indicated stack, ge just dropped the lower cup (ver same Fig. 5).
From FIG. 5 it can also be seen that when these wheels are rotated by a further 3600, the bottom cup of the stack is separated from the cup above it, as shown in FIGS. 6 and 7, and falls into the channel 27. The wheels 22 cooperating with the remaining stacks operate in the same way and are arranged on their associated shafts 36 so that after every 900 turns of the wheels 22 the four wheels cooperating with any of the stacks are brought into such a position that the bottom cup of the stack in question falls down.
The cups 24 are thus alternately removed downwards from one of the four stacks, one cup falling down with each quarter turn of the wheels 22. For example, if the wheels 22 are rotated by 900 from the position shown in FIG. 4 in the directions indicated by the arrows, the four wheels 22 associated with the stack present in the upper left corner of the device (corresponding to FIG. 4) work together, moved so that a cup falls down.
During the next 900 rotation of the wheels 22, a cup is removed from the stack in the lower left corner of the stack provided in FIG. 4, and the cup then continues to be drained accordingly. From the foregoing it can be seen that each time the machine 10 works, the wheels 22 rotate by 90a, and this movement is coordinated with respect to the way in which the transport device works so that a cup only falls onto the platform 28 when the finger 32 is outside the channel 27, since otherwise the finger 32 would not let the cup fall into its correct position on the platform 28.
The channel 27 has a plurality of rods 62 which protrude downward from an annular plate 63, which in turn is arranged concentrically with the annular wheel 48 on the bottom of the frame 37. The rods 62 are arranged along the generatrix of an inverted cone and extend to the periphery of the cup filling platform 28 to which they are attached. Some of the rods designated 62a are shorter than the others in terms of the position of the feed device 19 and are held in their correct positions by a bracket 64 attached to the plate 63.
The lower part of the channel 27 (see FIG. 2) corresponds to the shape of the cup 24, so that the cups falling down arrive in the correct position and stand upright on the filling platform.
With reference to Figs. 2 and 5-12, the front pusher 19 of the closer will now be described who the. As can be seen from the figures, the upper surface of the conveyor platform 29 is rotatable in the plane of the output compartment 16 from. The output tray 16 may form part of a unitary piece having a concavo-convex portion 70 that allows passage for the opening 15 and which extends diagonally upward from the output tray 16 to form the output opening 15. The inner surface 70a corresponds essentially to the outer surfaces of the jacket closure parts 35 and 35a and the push surfaces 30a and 30b of the transport member 30.
The platform 29 is rotatably arranged on an inner ring 71 of a suitable ball bearing which has an outer ring 72. Part of the outer circumference of the ring 72 fits into an arcuate groove 73 in the dispensing compartment 16, and the inner circumference of the ring 72 fits into an annular groove 74 of a bottom piece 75. Issue compartment 16, the ring 72 and the bottom piece 75 are firmly connected to each other by a number of screws 76.
In order to now rotate the platform 29 and move the driver 30 back and forth in a predetermined time sequence, a drive spindle 80 is connected to the drive shaft 53 via a universal joint 81 (see FIGS. 2 and 11) and has a pinion 83 its lower end, which meshes with an irregularly shaped, on the floor piece 75 arranged internal gear 79.
As can be clearly seen from FIG. 12, a curve 85 with a shape corresponding to the shape of the pinion 83 is fastened with screws 86 in a recess 87 on the upper part of the base piece 75 and so rests against the lower pin 84 of the spindle 80 that the pinion 83 meshes with the gear 79. As shown in FIG. 9, the internal gear 79 can be cut into a circular plate and arranged in a recess which surrounds the recess 87 in the base piece 75.
The platform 29 and a top plate 88 of the front pusher have slots 97 and 98, respectively, which are parallel to the feed path of the platform 29 and through which the spindle 80 extends.
Furthermore, the gear 79 has a straight part 79a, which is arranged in the plane of the slots 97 and 98, and also an arcuate part 79b which connects the ends of the part 79a together. Therefore, when the spindle 80 travels along the arcuate part 79b, the platform 29 and the parts connected to it are rotated 180 by the spindle 80, and when the spindle 80 travels along the straight part 79a, it is free relative to the platform 29 takes the driver 30, in the direction of the opening 15, with.
The driver 30 may be a casting with a bushing 86a disposed in a central bore so as to permit the necessary relative rotation between the spindle 80 and the driver. The front and rear cup sliding surfaces 30a and 30b are arcuate segments of a truncated cone and correspond to the outer surfaces of the jacket closure parts 35 and 35a.
Therefore, when the transport member 30 is in one of its end positions in the direction of the front part of the machine 10, the opening 15 is completely closed.
The jacket closure parts 35 and 35a can be the same cast pieces and each have a sloping inner wall 90 in order to see guide tracks that correspond to the vertical cross section of the Be cher 24 (Fig. 8, 9). The circular top plate 88, which slides in an arcuate groove 92 above the opening 15, forms the upper end of the feed device. The top plate 88 has adjacent the ends of the slot. 98 two passages 89 through which the beverage is poured from the nozzle 39 into the cups 24.
In order to lock the platform 29 in the dispensing position while a filled cup is pushed onto the dispensing compartment 16, which prevents undesired rotation of the platform 29 from outside the machine 10, a locking pin 93 (FIG. 9) is slidable is provided in a recess 94 below the center of the output tray 16, and a coil spring 95 tries to move the locking pin 93 towards the platform 29.
A hole 96 provided with a counter bore 100 is arranged on the outer edge of the platform 29 immediately below the longitudinal movement path of the driver, and a bolt 101 corresponding to the holes 100 and 96 is slidably provided in these holes.
The bolt 101 protrudes into the end of the slot 97 of the platform 29 so that the spindle 80, when it approaches the end of the straight part 79a of the gear 79, and so the filled cup is pushed onto the output tray 16, the inner one The end of the bolt 101 presses the bolt against the locking pin 93, where the locking pin 93 is moved out of the counter bore 100 into a conical cam groove 102 on the edge of the platform 29. A similar pin 101 and corresponding parts are provided on the opposite edge of the platform 29, which is necessary because a drink is dispensed every half rotation of the platform 29.
Since the platform 29 rotates counterclockwise as seen from above, the grooves 102 decrease in a clockwise direction towards the outside of the circumference of the platform 29.
When describing the mode of operation of the dispensing device 19, it is assumed that the platform 29 is in the filling position and that an empty cup is located under the dispensing nozzle 39. When a work cycle starts by inserting a coin into the slot 13, the platform 29 remains stationary until the cup is filled. After the cup has been filled, the drive unit 20 is energized and this rotates the spindle 80, which then moves along the arcuate path corresponding to the gear 79. The spindle 80 presses against the sides of the slots 97 and 98 so that the platform 29 is rotated.
This rotation of the platform 29 continues until the pinion 83 of the spindle 80 reaches the linear part 79a of the gear 79, i. H. until the platform 29 is in the advance position and the filled cup is opposite the opening 15. The spindle 80 now begins to move parallel to the slots 97 and 98, the rotation of the platform 29 stops, and the driver 30 moves across the platform 29 to the opening 15. In addition, the locking pin 93 is snapped into the hole 96 so as to lock the platform 29 in the off position.
The further Dre hung of the spindle 80 moves it directly along the slots 97 and 98 to the front part of the machine 10, whereby the driver is moved into its front end position and pushes the filled cup onto the output tray 16. When the driver 30 approaches the end of its stroke, the spindle 80 comes into contact with the pin 101, whereby the locking pin 93 is pushed out of the bore 100 into the cam groove 102.
This unlocks the platform 29 so that when the pinion 83 crosses the kurvenförmi gene part 79b of the gear 79, it rotates and the locking pin 93 is raised by the rising bottom of the groove 102 onto the edge of the platform 29. As the spindle 80 continues to rotate, the platform 29 is rotated until it is again in the filling position and an empty cup is located under the nozzle 39. At this point, a switch 105 (Fig. 13), which is arranged at the filling station, operated to turn off the drive unit 20 and the platform 29 to hold. Now one of the jacket closure parts 35 or 35 a is net angeord behind the dispensing opening 15.
The switch 105 is, as shown, arranged on an angle piece 106 and has an arcuate arm 107 which is under spring tension in the direction of the edge of the platform 29 and actuates the switch when it slides in the groove 102. A similar switch 108 with an actuation arm 109 is arranged on the elbow 106 immediately above the switch 105 in order to prevent the start of a work cycle of the machine 10 when there is no cup in the filling station.
In order to now actuate the finger 32 in chronological order relative to the dispensing device 19 and the cup draining device, so that an empty cup is placed on the platform 29 when a filled cup is dispensed, the finger 32 is activated by the spindle 80 when moving along the Schlit zen 97 and 98 in the direction of the opening 15 to be actuated. While the spindle 80 moves in an arcuate path, the finger 32 remains in its retracted rest position, and during this time a cup can fall onto the intermediate platform 28.
However, when the spindle 80 moves along the slots 97 and 98 in the direction of the opening 15, the finger 32 is pivoted in the counterclockwise direction as shown in FIG. As described above, a cup 24 is lowered onto the intermediate platform 28 while the finger 32 is being withdrawn, and the cup 24 is pushed onto the platform 29 by the finger 32 as the latter moves through the channel 27.
From Fig. 2 it can be seen that the finger 32 can be pivoted about a pin 33 which is rotatably mounted in a support plate 110. The plate 110 is firmly connected to the base plate 75 by screws 76, which connect the plate to the base piece 75 through the outer ring 72. The pin 33 of the finger 32 is connected to the bottom cross piece of a bracket 114 via a linkage which has two connecting straps 112 and 113. The bracket 114 surrounds the feed device 19 and has an upper cross member 118 with an offset intermediate part 119 against which the spindle 80 can rest.
When the spindle 80 now moves along the slots 97 and 98 to move the transport member 30 in the direction of the front part of the machine, it comes into contact with a shoulder 120 on the upper cross member 118 , whereby the bracket 114 is pivoted about the pin 116 and the finger 32 rotates counterclockwise as shown in FIG. This pushes a cup 24 onto the platform 29.
When the spindle 80 reaches the end of its stroke in the direction of the front part of the machine, it begins to rotate counterclockwise according to FIG. 8 and takes the platform 29 with it. At this point in time, the finger 32 partially protrudes into the passage between the jacket closure parts 35 and 35a and must now be withdrawn quickly in order to allow the platform 29 to rotate. For this purpose, a steep curve piece 122 is seen on the bracket, which allows the bracket to spring back a certain amount under the action of the spring 123 when the spindle 80 moves away from the shoulder 120 .
The further arcuate movement of the spindle 80 causes the finger 32 to be completely withdrawn from the channel 27. After finger 32 is fully withdrawn, cup 24 is released downward. In order to facilitate the return of the spindle 80 to the shoulder 120, a bolt 125 is pivotably arranged on a pin 126, and a spring 127 tries to keep it in the position shown in FIG.
As the spindle 80 moves away from the surface 122, the latch 125 rotates clockwise (FIG. 8) until the spindle 80 has moved past a shoulder on the latch 125, causing the latch 125 to snap back to its normal position . During the subsequent arcuate movement of the spindle 80, the spindle 80 slides upwards on an inclined surface 129 of the bolt 125, as a result of which it is lifted onto the shoulder 120.
14 is a schematic circuit diagram of the electrical control system. If a customer wants to remove a drink from the machine 10, he throws a real coin or a token into the slot 13 so that he briefly closes a normally open switch 141 via a conventional coin feed device 140. The switch 141 is in series with the coil of a relay 143 and a switch 144 which is connected to the connecting line 146. Since the switch 144 is closed at the beginning of the preceding work cycle of the machine 10 when the switch 141 briefly closes, the relay 143 is now attracted.
The switch 141 is then opened, but the relay 143 remains closed via the following excitation circuit, which is connected to the connecting line 147 via a line 149, a line 150, a normally open contact pair 152 arranged on the relay 143, a Lei ter 153, which is connected to the coil of the relay 143 is connected, runs back to the connection line 146.
By actuating the relay 143, a timing motor 155 is applied to the voltage of the connecting lines 146 and 147, specifically via the line 149, the line 150, a line 157, which connects the line 150 with a Terminal of the timing motor 155 connects, a line 159 which is connected to the other terminal of the motor 155, a line 158, a normally open on the relay 143 arranged contact pair 160, the Lei device 153, the coil of the relay 143, the switch 144 back to connection line 146.
Simultaneously with the switching on of the timing motor 155, a feed pump motor 163 is applied to the connection lines 146, 147 via a circuit that includes a line 165, which connects the connection line 146 to a terminal of the motor 163, a line device 166, which is connected to the other terminal of the motor 163, the cup filler switch 108, which is closed when a cup 24 is on the filling station of the platform 29, a line 167,
a normally open contact pair 168 and the contact pair 152 arranged on the relay 143 and the line 150 and 149, which complete the circuit up to the connection line 147. The motor 163 drives a pump 170 which pumps a liquid beverage from a beverage supply 171 to the nozzle 39 so as to fill the cup at the filling station. As a result, the drink is pumped into the cup as long as the relay 143 is actuated. When relay 143 drops, pumping stops.
In order to switch off the motor 163 when the cup is full, the timing motor 155 drives a cam 173 which has an arcuate switch actuation segment 174, with the aid of which the switch 144 is opened after a predetermined time and this corresponds to this predetermined time the time it takes to fill a cup using pump 170. Since the switch 144 is connected to the connection line 146 and the coil of the relay 143, it is arranged in the circuit of the relay 143 and the relay 143 drops out when the switch 144 is opened,
whereby the contact pairs 152, 160 and 168 are opened. Simultaneously with the opening of the switch 144, a pair of contacts 176 and 177 are closed in order to close a circuit of the timing motor 155 to the connection line 146, so that the timing motor 155 is live even after the relay 143 has dropped out and remains live for as long as until segment 174 returns to the position shown in the drawing;
This opens the pair of contacts 176 and 177 and closes the switch 144. However, since the coin operated switch 141 is open, the timing motor 155 remains off.
When the contact 176, 177 is closed for the first time, the drive unit 20, which drives the cup discharge device 18 and the feed device 19, is connected to voltage, and the platform 29 begins to rotate. The circuit for the drive unit 20 runs via a line 180 which connects the connection line 147 to a terminal of the motor 20, a line 181, a line 182, the contact 177, a line 184 and a line 185 back to the connection line 146.
During the time it takes the curve 173 to rotate the arcuate segment 174 by such an angle that the switch contacts 144, 176, 177 are actuated again, a switch part 105a of the switch 105 is closed by the rotation of the platform 29 . As a result of this rotation, the cam groove 102 then comes out of action with the switch actuating arm 107. The drive unit 20 is thus in series with the switch part 105a on the connecting lines 146 and 147. Therefore, when the contact 177 is opened, the drive unit 20 remains live and rotates In the process, the platform 29 continues and actuates the cup discharge device 18.
The drive unit 20 remains under tension and drives the feed mechanism 19 until a filled cup 24 has been given to the customer and an empty cup is transported into the filling station below the nozzle 39. At this time, the switch 105 is operated, whereby the switch part 105a is opened. Since the switch <B> 177 </B> has already been opened beforehand, the drive unit 20 is switched off by the switch part 105n, and the machine 10 is ready for the next work cycle.
The switch part 105b is designed so that the insertion of a coin into a slot 13 only activates the relay 143 when the feed mechanism 19 is in the filling position, otherwise the machine 10 would not be operated in the correct manner.
