Description

Damping device The subject of the invention is a damping device, in particular an anti-vibration damping device for a machine tool, characterized by a rigid plate comprising on each face flexible lining elements made of elastic material arranged in concentric circles.

The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the damping device, object of the invention, and a variant.

Fig. 1 is a front view of this embodiment.

Fig. 2 is a section of FIG. 1.

Figs. 3 and 4 represent two uses of the variant.

The damping device shown in FIG. 1 consists of a support plate 2 pierced with small holes arranged in concentric circles. On the same drilling diameters of these small holes are molded, on each side of the support plate 2, bands 1 of rubber. These strips of rubber, for example synthetic rubber, are thus interconnected by rubber spacers passing through the holes, as can be seen in FIG. 2. Thus, the bands are integral with each other while being independent of the support plate 2.

The damping device of FIGS. 1 and 2 are intended to play the role of anti-vibration device, as is also the variant of this device shown in FIG. 3, which has only two circular rubber bands 1 on each side of the plate. For example, in the case of a machine tool (fig. 3) subjected to vibrations which must be avoided to transmit to the ground, a positive damping device conforming to this variant is placed, for example, between each foot of the machine. tool 5 and soil 9.

Under the weight of the machine tool, the rubber bands are crushed and the empty spaces between said bands form suction cups and press both on the ground and at the foot of the machine, which achieves a simple and effective fixing of the machine. -tool. On the other hand, the vibrations due to the operation of the machine are absorbed by the shock absorber, thanks to these rubber bands.

Experience shows that the shock absorbing devices described offer efficiency such as not only vibrations. are absorbed, but still that the adhesion, obtained by the suction effect resulting from the crushing of the rubber bands, makes it possible to avoid the sealing to the ground even of the heaviest machines, thus having a great inertia .

Fig. 4 shows several damping devices conforming to the variant of FIG. 3 arranged coaxially with an intermediate plate 4 between them, the whole being mounted in the axis of a wagon buffer. When two wagons collide as a result of maneuvers during the formation of a train, or the stopping or the departure of said train, the buffer crashes and the two damping devices flatten out on the intermediate plate.

The shock-absorbing power of rubber means that it crashes normally, thus absorbing all the energy due to the speed of the wagon, then it slowly takes its place and restores only a small part of the stored energy, thus avoiding any successive twists and turns that occur with current devices.
