Profile bracket serving as a support member for the springs in a mattress The invention relates to a profile bracket serving as a support member for the springs in a mattress with fastening members on the bracket leg ends and is characterized by pull tabs attached to the bracket web, which are designed to be lashed to the underside of the mattress frame .
As a result, in the case of bed mattresses with a high frame cross-section, the longitudinal bars can not only be connected to the profile bracket as before, but also its lower section. When the mattress is loaded, the springs of which are supported on the profile fastened transversely between the two frame longitudinal bars, forces are exerted on the longitudinal bars, which strive to cause them to move outwards on their joists.
This is prevented by the pull tabs according to the invention, the opposing directions of tensile force on one and on the other longitudinal strut keeping the balance.
This beneficial effect can be achieved with extremely simple. and cheap means can be achieved. For this purpose, a flexible tongue can serve as a pull tab, which is spot-welded on the profile base of the U-shaped bracket web. This is completely sufficient to take up the tensile forces that occur. The flexibility of the tongues ensures that the connection to the lower edge of the longitudinal spar is ensured in any case, regardless of manufacturing accuracy.
The load-bearing capacity of the web of the profile bracket can be increased by the fact that it is slightly curved in the direction of the legs. This curvature can easily be produced when the profile is produced by a drawing process. Because of the increase in the load capacity that can be achieved, the bracket can also be made smaller. Its resistance torque transversely to its longitudinal direction can be increased in that the leg ends of the U-shaped profile have stiffening edges that are bent outwards.
All of these features improve the quality of the temple; But they also have an advantageous effect on the components that are equipped with sol chen brackets when the bent downward flat leg end of the bracket rests on the upper edge of the mattress frame longitudinal strut and the lower edge is connected to the pull tab.
Since both longitudinal spars are connected to one another in such a practical way that they support one another in absorbing the forces, they no longer need to be made as strong as was necessary before. In any case, the bed mattresses equipped with the new profile bracket are characterized by the increased stability of their frame construction. An embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing.
They show: FIG. 1 a longitudinal side view, FIG. 2 a narrow side view. The profile bracket contains a web 1 and two legs 2 and has a downwardly open U-profile, which runs gradually in the side legs 2 so that the ends of the side legs are flat, where they contain three holes 3 through which wood screw ben 4 are screwed into the longitudinal bars 5 of the mattress frame.
This known connection is relieved or reinforced by the fact that the free leg ends are bent outward and the tabs 6 thus formed lie on the upper edge of the longitudinal strut. Tilting tendencies of the profile bracket around the screw connection points are countered so that even unusual, e.g. B. forces occurring during transport, the screws 4 can not be loosened. In the bottom of the U-profile of the web 1 of the bracket narrow, flat tongues 7 are welded at some points 11.
These tongues have a hole at the free end for attaching a wooden screw 8 to the lower edge of the longitudinal spar 5. If the longitudinal spars under load move outwards on their underlay parts, the pull tabs, which act as the tongues, absorb the related tensile forces. The U-profile of the bracket contains outwardly curved stiffening edges 9 at the leg ends, which give a transverse stiffener. In the web 1, the U-profile is slightly curved in the direction of the legs 2, as is indicated in Fig. 1 at 12 on.
This arch, which is produced by a drawing process when the profile is produced from a flat strip cut to length, considerably increases the load-bearing capacity of the bracket in its web part 1.
The web of the profile bracket has in a known manner eyelets 10 for hooking the Ma tratzenfedern, not shown, which he has to hold and wear.
