. .</I> dargestellt ist.
Die Kurve<I>a</I> verbindet die Punkte<I>A</I> für Be ginn des Ausblasens aller Kennlinien n = const. und sei Drehzahl-Ausblasegrenze genannt.
Hier sind also die Kurven<I>b =</I> b",a" <I>b'</I> und<I>b"</I> die Drehzahlpumpgrenzen für jeweils konstante Schaufel stellung a",.. bzw. <I>a' bzw. ä',</I> während die Kurven c1, c2 und c3 die Pumpgrenzen sind für jeweils kon stante Drehzahlen n1 <I>=</I> n,' <I>=</I> n," <I>. . .</I> bzw.
n2 <I>=</I> n.' <I>=</I> n," <B>...</B><I>bzw.</I> ns = n3 . . ., jedoch für veränderliche Schaufelstellungen (Leitschaufelpumpgrenzen).
Analog zu Fig. 2 er geben sich denn auch Steuerkurven a""," <I>a',</I> a" bis a",i" für jeweils konstante Schaufelöffnung und va riable Drehzahl, die möglichst nahe an den Drehzahl- Pumpgrenzkurven b",;," <I>b', b"</I> bis 6",i" liegen.
I>ä</I> in Richtung<I>ä'</I> auslösen.
In diesem Bereich wird zum Beispiel bei Turbinen betrieb als Stellglied zur Anpassung des Druckes an der Förderstrom nur das Dampfeinlassventil 4 betätigt. Dieser Arbeitsbereich reiner Drehzahlregelung wird nicht bis zur Drehzahlpumpgrenze b",." bzw. amax für volle Schaufelöffnung geführt, sondern bis zu einer Grenzkurve f rechts von a", ,, deren Bestimmung im folgenden erläutert wird;
B. im Punkt A, Fig. 5.
Dabei ist<I>p</I> d 0, p- <I>p</I> ",a\ (Bereich BI).
B. 2,5<I> < </I> p,1 <I> < 4,5</I> atü) öffnet das Ausblase- ventil 6 (Bereich BrII). Der Zuordner 19 und der Druck p;

Device for the automatic control of turbo compressors The operating behavior of turbo compressors can be characterized according to FIG. 1 of the drawing by characteristics in which the pressure p is dependent on the flow rate Q for a constant speed nj, n2, n3 <I>. . . </I> is shown. The promotion runs steadily only up to the limit curve b, z.
B. for n., == const. up to the surge limit point B2. The curve <I> b </I> connects the surge limit points B of all characteristics n - const. and means speed surge limit.
Left of b, z. B. at point P, a steady conveyance is only possible if at least the difference A Qb between the consumption flow Qv and the limit flow Q ,, is blown directly through a blow-out or bypass valve or via an expansion turbine.
In practice, for stable operation, the start of the blow-out must already begin with the somewhat larger flow rate Q, a <I>> </I> Qb, i.e. approximately at point Az, and the slightly larger amount <I> A </I> Q_, to be blown off. The curve <I> a </I> connects the points <I> A </I> for the start of blowing out all characteristics n = const. and let us call the speed blow-out limit. It should run as close as possible to the right of curve b for the lowest possible power consumption.
In the following, curve a generally represents the response limit for the intervention of a control system to prevent pumping at variable speeds.
The speed surge limit b - and there with the stable delivery range - can be shifted to the left, that is to say to lower limit delivery flows, by adjusting the guide vanes on the inlet side or on the outlet side of the impellers.
When reducing the blade angle, z. B. from a to ä or <I> a ", </I> according to FIG. 2, the characteristic lines n1 to na to n, ', n.', N3 <B> ... </B> or . n1 ", n2 '<I>. . . </I> with the pump limit curves b 'and b "shifted.
Here the curves <I> b = </I> b ", a" <I> b '</I> and <I> b "</I> are the speed pumping limits for each constant blade position a", .. or <I> a 'or ä', </I> while the curves c1, c2 and c3 are the surge limits for constant speeds n1 <I> = </I> n, '<I> = </ I> n, "<I>... </I> or
n2 <I> = </I> n. ' <I> = </I> n, "<B>...</B> <I> or </I> ns = n3..., But for variable vane positions (guide vane pump limits).
If a turbo compressor according to FIG. 1 with con constant, z. B. full, blade opening a and operated with ver changeable speed n, so come besides others usually, z. B. according to Fig. 3, fol lowing control options in question: 1. Control to constant final pressure of the Ver poet 2; 2. Regulation on constant flow rate.
Regulation to constant ultimate pressure is more common. A final pressure regulator 3 acts on control valves 4 of the turbine 1 in such a way that with decreasing consumption, whereby the final pressure has the tendency to rise, the steam valve 4 is throttled and thus the speed is reduced if necessary. The effect of the pressure regulator 3 on the valve 4 can be achieved either by direct action or by adjusting the setpoint of the speed regulator.
The control then takes place, for example, along the line p1 in FIG. 1. When the operating point reaches the blow-out limit curve a with a greater decrease in consumption, the blow-out regulator 5 begins to open the blow-out valve 6, for example at point A2. The controller 5 acts as a limit current controller based on the measurement of the total flow rate.
In the operating range to the left of curve a, in which the blow-off valve works, the speed is also constant at constant final pressure. If the final pressure p is essentially always the same during operation, it is sufficient to set the blow-out regulator to a certain limit volume Q, whereas the final pressure p should be set within wider limits during operation, e.g.
If, for example, be changed between p1 and p2 ", the setpoint of the limit flow controller 5 must be adjusted as a function of pressure, according to curve a, so that the start of response of the limit flow controller is shifted to a lower flow rate at a lower ultimate pressure.
This pressure-dependent setpoint adjustment is symbolized in FIG. 3 by the influence line guided by a further final pressure-dependent measuring mechanism 7 to the pulse line between the controller 5 and the valve 6. The plus sign means that the setpoint of controller 5 increases as the final pressure rises, and decreases as the final pressure decreases.
This setpoint adjustment of the limit current regulator 5 by the final pressure can be carried out mechanically, hydraulically, pneumatically or electrically. It can also be achieved within certain limits simply by connecting the flow rate measurement 7 for the controller 5 not on the suction side, but on the pressure side of this Ver poet or before the branch of the blow-out valve 6.
The curve a for the start of the response of the controller 5 is then approximately a quadratic parabola through the zero point in the p-Q diagram; it does not follow the surge limit curve b completely, but equidistantly in a sufficiently wide operating range with sufficient approximation.
It is also known to regulate the blow valve 6 by a combination of final pressure and speed pulses sen, for. B. primarily dependent on the final pressure, in such a way that the setpoint of the limit pressure at which the valve 6 begins to open is adjusted depending on the speed of the compressor, with higher speeds corresponding to higher limit pressures.
Have turbo compressors for variable speed additionally adjustable guide vanes, so it has been customary to make this adjustment of the vanes only by hand depending on the respective flow rate and final pressure, z. B. on the basis of an operating regulation in the form of tables or curves. This is possible and permissible if the work area usually only changes within relatively narrow limits, but only within wider limits either in foreseeable periods of time, e.g. B. at night, at noon, when changing shifts or when one or more large consumers are switched off or switched off, for example, if one or more large consumers, z.
B. of blast furnaces, chemical or physical apparatus, etc. It is necessary for manual adjustment of the compressor blades, but at least appropriate, according to the shift of the surge limit curve <I> b </I> to <I> b '</I> or <I> b "</I> (Fig. 2) also move the response limits a 'or a" for the blow-out control with a lower limit flow rate so that if the respective speed pumping limit is unexpectedly undershot <I> b' </ I> or <I> b "</I> the blow-off valve opens in good time.
This setpoint adjustment of the blow-out regulator 5, depending on the blade position, is indicated in FIG. 3 by a further pulse line which is guided from the blade adjusting device 8 to the pulse line of the limit flow regulator 5 to the blow-out valve 6.
It now seems obvious to carry out an automatic control of the adjustable compressor blades, depending on the useful flow rate, so that at a constant final pressure each flow rate is assigned a certain blade position a, in which pumping is definitely avoided.
It should be noted here, however, that the vane pumping limits c decrease to the left for each constant speed according to Figures 2 and 5, which means that a lower limit pressure corresponds to a decreasing flow rate.
If one tries to always open the blades as wide as possible, that is to say to initiate their closing movement only shortly before reaching the pump limit, then for a constant speed, but variable blade openings, the blade opening limits dl, i # " <I> d3, </I> which should be as close as possible below the vane pump limits cl, c2, c3, that is to say they should also fall to the left.
Analogous to FIG. 2, there are also control curves a "", "<I> a ', </I> a" to a ", i" for each constant blade opening and variable speed, which are as close as possible to the speed Surge limit curves b ",;," <I> b ', b "</I> to 6", i ", but the slope of curves d causes, for example, for constant ultimate pressure an increase in the speed with decreasing flow rate in the range throttled guide vanes.
In Fig. 4, the curve e shows the course of the rotational speed n when, with a constant final pressure p1, the guide vanes are only adjusted just before the surge limit, for example, depending on the flow rate, i.e. are controlled so that the vane position a 'for each flow rate , a "... corresponding to the intersection of the line p = const. with the control cams <I> a ', </I> d' to a", 1 ".
In fact, such a flow rate-dependent blade control has also been attempted earlier. The invention is u. a. is based on the knowledge that such a control cannot work satisfactorily because it is in principle unstable. If, according to Fig. 4, for example, the consumption in the network at the final pressure p1 corresponds to point P at the blade opening a, a small decrease in the flow would automatically result in a closing movement of the blades and thus a shift in the characteristic line, for example <I Trigger> ä </I> in direction <I> ä '</I>.
But since - and this is essential - the pressure p1 is currently constant as a result of the storage capacity of the pressure network, this closing movement of the blades would momentarily cause a further decrease in the flow rate and thereby exert a further impulse to close the blades. until the blades may be completely closed.
Conversely, with a small increase in consumption at point P, the flow-dependent control would give an unstable impulse until the blades are fully open. You can now stabilize the control process, for example by controlling with interrupted pulses or by special landing closing time of the blades in relation to the time constant of the network; but then with rapid and larger changes in consumption in the network, the blade adjustment u. U.
too late, so that the blow-off valve would always have to open at times, depending on the flow rate, final pressure and blade position. This is difficult and complicated. On the other hand, an automatic blade adjustment is particularly desirable when the consumption changes rapidly and in size and direction unpredictably within wide limits, so that a timely manual adjustment would not be satisfactory or even uneconomical.
This applies to a greater extent if not only the flow rate but also the setpoint of the final pressure changes rapidly within wider limits, such as in the case of steel mill blowers, especially when operating several converters whose blowing periods change independently of one another and sometimes overlap, partly peel off.
The problem of rapidly changing Betriebsver conditions by combined automatic adjustment of speed and blade angle the pressure and flow rate within the broadest limits of the loading must be adjusted as quickly as possible and at the same time to avoid pumping surges with security is to be solved satisfactorily by the present invention, where at It should be noted that the actuators for speed adjustment, blade adjustment and blow-out control are each known per se.
The basic principle of the invention is that the entire control range is divided into three control ranges that come into effect one after the other by coupling the actuators, namely: I a first range that is determined solely by changing the speed or the energy supply to the drive machine .
In this area, for example, only the steam inlet valve 4 is actuated as an actuator for adapting the pressure to the flow rate in turbine operation. This working range of pure speed control is not up to the speed surge limit b ",." or amax for full blade opening, but up to a limit curve f to the right of a ", the determination of which is explained in the following;
<B> 11 </B> a second area, in which an approximately constant speed is assigned to each final pressure of the compressor and in which the flow of the medium to be compressed is influenced by adjusting guide vanes or rotor blades.
In this area, the compressor works with an approximately constant speed assigned to each final pressure, while only the blade adjustment is regulated as a function of pressure as an actuator to adapt the pressure to the respective flow rate consumption; <B> 111 </B> a third range, in which the compressor is prevented from pumping by means of blowout control with a constant smallest blade opening, while the speed remains at the value specified in the second range.
In this area, the blade position is constant = ami ", while the speed is constantly assigned to the final pressure and the adjustment of the Ver poet to the flow requirement is carried out by actuation of the blow-off valve 6 that is accessible to pressure.
The limit curve f for the transition between the regulation by pure speed adjustment (BI) and the regulation by blade adjustment (BI,) is there for example in point D by that pressure on the pQ characteristic curve assigned to a certain speed n1, n2 or n3 intended for full vane opening, at which the vane opening limits <I> dl, </I> d2,
d3 intersect the blowout limit ami "for the smallest blade opening for the relevant speed, for example at point A, FIG. 5.
Due to this principle of the subdivided work areas between speed control, blade control and blow-out control with only one actuator each, precise and rapid operation of the control is achieved without mutual interference between the individual actuators.
For the practical implementation of this principle, FIGS. 6 to 9 show examples.
6 shows the regulation of a turbo compressor 2 with steam turbine drive 1 for the converter system of a steelworks. The task of the regulation is to regulate the final pressure pE in a wind line for, for example, three converters to a target pressure PE ″, which is provided by the converter platform The highest of the three setpoint pressures that can be set should be decisive.
This can be achieved, for example, by connecting three manual valves Hl to an auxiliary pressure line with constant air pressure Plli via three orifices B1 to B3. . . are connected, the actuation of which on the converter platform sets the desired pressure on the three converters and reads it on the M pressure gauges.
The three non-return valves R1, R2, R3 ensure that only the highest of the three set target pressures prevails in the line pE ". This target pressure is, for example, fed to one side of the membrane of the main pressure regulator 3, on the opposite side of which is the real final pressure pE .
This regulator 3 actuates an oil valve which regulates a control oil pressure p, 1 in a known manner so that it drops as shown in Figure 7 when the control deviation pE, s PE increases or generally when the final pressure decreases.
The control pressure pd acts according to FIG. 6 and FIG. 7, in which the pressure regulator 3 is initially assumed to be a proportional regulator, staggered on fol lowing parts of the control - corresponding to the previously explained working areas BI to BIII.
1. to a reversing pressure transducer 13 through a control valve 13a actuated with the aid of a spring-loaded piston, which lowers the additional oil pressure 9z as the control pressure p, I increases (e.g. for 0 <p, I <1.5 atmospheres) (e.g. from 5 to 0 atü) (work area BI); 1I. on the spring-loaded piston 8a for the blade adjustment 8 on the compressor. If the control oil pressure p, d (e.g.
B. 1.5 <p, 1 <3 atm) the piston 8a moves (with the interposition of a non-ge-signed power amplifier) the blades in the closed position to the smallest opening a, "1" (working area BIl); III. onto the blow-out valve 6, the stroke hs of which increases from the closed position as the control pressure p, 1 continues to rise (e.g. 3.0 <p, 1 <4.5 atmospheres) (working area Bll).
The live steam supply to the turbine is regulated by the spring hydraulic actuation of the live steam valve 4 from the speed controller 10, which in a known manner lowers the control oil pressure p .. as the speed increases by opening the oil outlet behind an orifice. The setpoint of the speed is adjusted in a manner known per se by an adjusting sleeve 11, each position of the sleeve 11 corresponding to an approximately constant speed.
This sleeve 11 is provided with a stepped piston which has two active surfaces on which two oil pressures act separately against the force of the counter spring, namely the oil pressure p "",., For the basic setting of the setpoint of the speed n and also the additional oil pressure pZ .
The pressure p. ",; Is set with the aid of an allocation pressure transducer 12 such that a certain basic target speed n,., Is allocated to each target value p, _ ,, as long as the additional oil pressure pZ = 0.
This assignment takes place with the aid of the control converter 12 and the spring under the sleeve 11, taking into account the stroke characteristics of the speed controller 10, and in such a way that, for example according to FIG. 5, a pressure p. , = p1 is assigned just about that basic setpoint speed n, at which with the smallest blade opening a ", i" the pressure p1 is just reached with certainty without a pump.
This is the case in FIG. 5, for example, at point A, which is close to the intersection of the speed surge limit a ", i" for the smallest blade opening a ", i" with the line p1 = const. lies.
The additional oil pressure p acting on the second active surface of the liner 11 is, as described under I., lowered in the reverse pressure transducer 13, for example from 5 to about 0 atü, if at the same time the control pressure p, 1 for example from 0 to 1.5 atü increases.
The further mode of operation is as follows: When all three converters are in full operation, the compressor works in point C, Fig. 5, with full guide vane opening a and maximum speed n> n1, which can be set by the lower stroke limitation of the sleeve 11. Here <I> p </I> d is 0, p- <I> p </I> ", a \ (area BI).
If a converter is switched off or throttled, but with the setpoint pressure pr, ″ constant, the oil pressure p ″ is increased by the pressure regulator 3 from a value of 0 with initially a slight increase in the actual pressure p. (FIGS. 6 and 7) Reversing pressure transducer 13, the pressure p "from, and the sleeve 11 moves ver in the sense of decreasing speed (up in the drawing), until at p5 = 0 the basic target speed (z.
B. n ,, s = n,) is reached (see point D, Fig. 5). This basic target speed is set by the pressure acting on the second effective surface of the liner 11, which in turn depends, as explained, via the assignment pressure transducer 12 on the set target pressure pL ".
If, for example, the air consumption is reduced by throttling or switching off the second converter while the setpoint pressure pl ,. , further reduced, the power piston 8a, the spring of which is suitably preloaded, closes the guide vanes 8 from the maximum value a "," -, from so far, under the influence of the control pressure p, 1> 1.5 atü, which increases with the increasing final pressure p " than is necessary to maintain the final pressure pr (working area Bll).
In the limit, the blades are not completely dig, but only up to a minimum value a ", i" that can be set, for example, by limiting the stroke on the piston 8a. This value is reached, for example, in point A of FIG. If the final pressure pr - and thus the control oil pressure p, l increases even further with a further reduction in air consumption (e.g.
B. p ,,> 3.0 atü, working range Bll), the blow-out valve 6 opens according to the preload and characteristic of its power piston spring. Its stroke h. (Fig. 7) peaks at, for example, p "." "- 4.5 atm. If the valve 6 is dimensioned so that at full stroke at pressure p, it lets at least the current according to point A through, the system can automatically be operated pump-free down to air consumption 0 at full pressure pL.
Even if the setpoint pL (previously assumed to be constant) is adjusted, the control works properly.
If, for example, this value is suddenly lowered from the converter stage, the actual pressure pr is initially too high; the controller 3 then increases the pressure p, 1, and the speed is reduced to the value n assigned to the new value pr,, 2. Before transient, the blades 8 can also close and the blow-off valve 6 open, which leads to a rapid reduction of p, is correct by analogy.
If the new target pressure p "" "is reached in the network, the valve 6 closes and the blades 8 open and, if necessary, the speed is increased again somewhat if the new operating point is in the working range BI pressure pl;,., the speed is temporarily increased, if necessary up to the limit value n ",,", and at the same time the blades are fully opened. This means that the network is filled very quickly to the increased setpoint pressure and the actuating time is kept correspondingly low .
It has been shown that with this scheme, the individual version of which can be varied as required, for example by replacing hydraulic control means with pneumatic or electrical ones, the requirements for pump-free operation with the fastest changes in air consumption and target pressure are fully met. In a further embodiment of the invention, it can also be achieved that in area B, 1, in which, according to the previous description, essentially only the guide vanes are used as the control element of the control, the speed is no longer kept exactly constant at the value of the basic target speed n " becomes.
The speed increases to a small extent in any case, even when the speed adjustment sleeve 11 is held in place, with decreasing air consumption, in that this is also associated with a lower power requirement. Since the speed controller is usually designed as a proportional controller, the speed increases with decreasing load in accordance with the degree of irregularity of the speed controller 10.
This is to be striven for in view of the above-mentioned fact that according to FIGS. 2, 4 and 8 the vane pump limits cl, c2 and c, for constant rotational speeds <I> nj, </I> n. And n ", respectively, drop to the left It is therefore desirable, in the area BI, of the blade adjustment, to increase the speed a little as the flow rate decreases.
In addition, a further correction pulse for the speed can be given in this area in the sense that, for example, from a certain angle ä '- corresponding to an associated control pressure p, I "- the speed is increased again with further closing movement of the blades.
This can be achieved, for example, that according to Fig. 6a with the control converter 13 apart from the normal outflow valve 13a, whose control edge opens with the control pressure p, 1 to be taken, a second outflow valve 13b connects the valve 13a before or is connected downstream and its control edge above the adjustable pressure p,
I "closes the oil outflow from the additional pressure system p" again according to a blade angle - and thus increases this pressure and the speed again. The adjustable upper stroke limitation 13c of the converter 13 can ensure that this increase in speed only takes place in a sub-area of the working range BI and stops again at the transition to the range BIII.
As a result of this additional increase in speed in the area of small blade openings, a further shift of the working area BIII of the blade control to the left (FIG. 5) can be achieved - and thus the economy can be increased. A higher setpoint pressure p1 can then also be assigned to the speed n1, for example, whereby the efficiency in the area of large and medium-sized blade openings can also be improved. This additional influencing of the speed in the area of small blade openings can also be used in other ways, for.
B. can be achieved by a special control valve with spring-loaded oil piston, which, depending on the control oil pressure p, 1, acts on the additional oil pressure p, or on the oil pressure p "" "in the previously explained range in the sense of an increase in speed.
Furthermore, the setpoint of the final pressure pE, s can also have a different order of magnitude than the actual pressure p .. Then the active areas on the controller 3 or, z. B. when using nozzle regulators, the lever arms for setpoint and actual value are accordingly angegli. The variable conveying the setpoint value pE,, can also be, for example, an oil pressure or an electrical variable.
The setpoint pE, g can also be used as an output variable for another controller, e.g. B. for the above-mentioned regulation on constant useful flow. An example of such a control is shown in FIG. 6b as a variant of FIG. 6.
Here, the target pressure p '"s is connected to the main oil system via an orifice and either manually set with the valve 16b closed with the aid of the manual valve 16a (which would correspond to the previously described operating mode), or with the valve 16b open as Output variable of a delivery flow controller 15 regulated.
This is shown in Fig. 6b as a differential pressure regulator, for example, which is connected to a measuring nozzle 14 in the useful air line and is influenced by the differential pressure dpQ, which in turn changes quadratically with the useful flow Q "and inversely proportional to @pE.
If necessary, the influence of the final pressure pE can be compensated for by correspondingly stiff counter springs in the controller 15 or by other known means, so that the control in the p-Q diagram according to FIG. 8 takes place approximately along the vertical q1 according to the setpoint Q1 set. This setpoint can be set by adjusting the spring on the controller 15.
If the delivery flow Q and thus dpQ decreases, the controller 15 closes the oil valve coupled to it and thus increases the target oil pressure p'E, S, which in turn increases the target speed in the manner described above. From Fig. 8, for example, the operation of a blast furnace fan with control on constant För derstrom can be seen along the line q1.
The operating areas BI, BI, and BIu, as indicated by hatching, correspond to the description given, as in FIG. 5.
An operating point P3 may initially lie in the work area BI on the p-Q characteristic curve for fully open blades and speed n3. This operating point corresponds to a very easy furnace passage, i.e. large opening cross-sections of the blast furnace and its filling. If the furnace passage becomes heavier, that is, if these cross-sections become narrower, the final pressure pp would have to be increased to point P2, for example, with the same flow rate Q.
At first the differential pressure dpQ decreases somewhat; as a result, the regulator 15 increases the setpoint oil pressure p'E, S, and at the same time the assignment control converter 12, depending on the setpoint pressure pF, s, also increases the pressure p. "", for setting the basic setpoint speed n "9, for example on p ", 1, ,, 2.
The increasing setpoint pressure p ′ ″, however, at the same time also reduces the control oil pressure p1 via the main pressure regulator 3. As a result, according to FIGS additionally influenced in the sense of increasing speed, at the same time who but also keep the blades 8 temporarily opened or completely open ge by the piston 8a.
These movements are initially correct as they accelerate the desired increase in speed and actual pressure pF, with the pressure network being quickly filled. If the speed has now risen to the necessary value tz, the intersection point of the p-Q characteristic curve z with the control line Q1 would be too high, that is to say above point P, when the blade is fully open.
This is now prevented by the main controller 3, which increases the control pressure pd again when the pressure pE has risen sufficiently. As a result, the additional pressure p "is first reduced again with the aid of the reverse pressure converter 13 (if necessary down to 0), so that the setpoint of the speed is only determined by the assignment control converter 12 and the pressure p." ".
However, as the control pressure pd rises, the guide vanes 8 are partially closed by the power piston 8a until the correct pressure p, which is necessary to maintain the flow rate Q, is reached at the speed n. If the oven is more difficult, the operating point can shift to point P1 and higher, for example.
FIG. 8 shows that the heavier the furnace corridor and the higher the pressure pE must be, the higher the speed, but also the smaller the blade angle a must be in the area BI. If the furnace cross-sections become larger again, the process proceeds in the opposite direction. In the case of very rapid control processes, e.g. B. with ra Shem lowering of the back pressure with the same För derstrom, the blades 8 can temporarily closed to the stop, and the blow valve 6 can be opened, which is also correct in terms of the shortest possible downtime.
The example according to FIG. 6b shows quite generally the possibility of using a different variable as the main controlled variable by superposing a further controller 15 over the main pressure controller 3. Fig. 9 shows another possibility of analogous application of the principles of this invention, the task should be the same as after F! 6b. Deviating from this, however, in FIG. 9 the delivery flow controller 15 is not superordinate to the pressure controller 3, but instead is optionally connected in parallel on the control oil side via the manual valves 16a and 16b.
When regulating to a constant final pressure pE, the main pressure regulator 3 regulates when the manual valve <I> 16a </I> is open. The speed adjustment sleeve 11 of the speed regulator 10 has in this case an adjustment piston with only one active surface, to which the pressure p ″, 5 is applied to set the set speed.
This oil pressure <B> p, 1., </B> is controlled in a known manner by the oil valve of the main pressure regulator 3, so that if the final pressure pE is too high, the pressure p ″ and thereby also the speed n ab are reduced. The pressure regulator 3 can also act directly on the control oil system PF of the live steam valves 4 in the same way, with the speed controller 10 being set as the upper limit controller.
The basic task of assigning the rotational speed approximately constant to the final pressure pE of the compressor in the working area BII according to FIG. 5 or 8 is taken over by the assignment pressure regulator 19 together with the rotational speed measuring mechanism 17 in the arrangement according to FIG.
This can be, for example, a centrifugal pump or a comb running in an oil ring or an oil capsule on the compressor shaft, which produces an oil pressure p " guided to the lower side of an oil piston in the allocator 19, on the upper side of which the compressor end pressure p ;; is guided via a membrane with a correspondingly reduced effective area.
The allocator 19 actuates an oil valve in the outflow from the control oil system p, 1. The control pressure p ,, is increased, for example, if the speed n and thus the oil pressure p ". I" are too low compared to pF. The pressure p, 1 acts in the same way as according to FIG. 6, first a closing movement of the guide vanes 8 via the spring-loaded power piston 8a (e.g. 0.5 <p ,, <2.5 atm) (working area B, 1 ); if the increase continues (e.g.
B. 2.5 <I> <</I> p, 1 <I> <4.5 </I> atü) opens the blow-out valve 6 (area BrII). The allocator 19 and the pressure p;
1 work here only in the two work areas BI, and BlII, their start of work along the curve f in Fig. 5 and 8 is determined by the fact that the oil pressure p ", i" under the oil piston of the folder 19 is just in equilibrium is with the final pressure pj, above the piston or above the upper diaphragm.
By appropriately grading the two active surfaces in the allocator 19 for p ″, 1, t and pF and if necessary by appropriately changing the value pr, z.
B. with the help of a diaphragm and a drain valve in the impulse line to the final pressure membrane, you can set the assignment of the pressure p ": to p", i "and to the speed n for the start of the response of the assigner 19 so that along the curve f approximately the same value pairs pF and n are assigned to one another as along the speed blowout limit a ",
1 "for smallest blade opening a", 1 ". In this way, the same regulation and control effect can be achieved as according to FIG. 6. In working range BI, when regulation is carried out to constant final pressure p., In turn, only the speed of main pressure regulator 3 is controlled via the -Power piston 11 and the speed controller 10 or adjusted by direct action on the live steam valves 4:
As soon as the speed of rotation is reduced with decreasing flow consumption and slightly increasing final pressure pF that the response limit of the allocator 19 is reached according to the set curve f,
As a limit pressure regulator, the allocator 19 begins to close the guide vanes 8 - and when the consumption continues to decrease - to open the blow-out valve 6. The assigner 19 replaces the main pressure regulator 3 or precedes it so that it has no reason to adjust the pressure pE "or pr and thus the speed n. Rather, this remains essentially constant in the operating range of the assigner 19.
In order to prevent simultaneous or out-of-phase operation of the pressure regulator 3 and the assigner 19 - and any fluctuations associated therewith - it is advisable to design the main regulator 3 as a P regulator or as a PI regulator with a large temporary proportional range, the regulator 19 on the other hand, as an I controller or as a PI controller with a smaller proportional range and shorter positioning times.
Alternatively to the pressure regulator 3, the delivery flow regulator 15 can take over the main control by closing the manual valve 16a and opening the valve <I> 16b </I>. The mode of operation results in accordance with the description of Fig. 6b and Fig. 9. The manual valve 16e in Fig. 9 allows operation with pure speed control at an adjustable setpoint.
The embodiments described give only a few examples of the possibilities of using the invention. If the compressors are driven by electric motors, a variable resistor, for example in the rotor circuit of an asynchronous motor or in the exciter circuit of a direct current motor, can be used as an actuator for changing the speed of the drive machine. As already mentioned, the hydraulic system explained here can also be wholly or partially replaced by pneumatic or electrical systems.
In particular, the invention is not limited to the possibility of adjusting the guide vanes in the second operating range, but rather the possible additional adjustment of the blades, especially in axial compressors, is also intended.
