Les clapets 10, 10' ferment alternativement les orifices 13, 13' et 14, 14' ; lorsque l'appareil de cuis son 1 a cessé de fonctionner, les clapets 10, 10' sont abaissés et ferment les orifices 14 et 14' ; les gaz et vapeurs légers qui n'auraient pas été aspirés par la hotte et stagnent vers le plafond sont alors aspirés par le ventilateur à travers les ouvertures 13, 13' ;
Ventilation device The subject of the present invention is a device for ventilating a laboratory or a room where cooking appliances operate. This device makes it possible to evacuate not only the gases and vapors which are given off by the devices, but also those which, lighter or heavier than air, stagnate towards the ceiling or towards the floor.
This device consists of a fan mounted in a suction chimney and is characterized in that the latter communicates, on the one hand, with a hood placed directly above said appliances and, on the other hand, with the room by at least one opening controlled by a valve, placed at the height of the ceiling, for the evacuation of gases and vapors lighter than air, and by at least one opening controlled by a valve,
placed at floor height, for the evacuation of gases and vapors heavier than air.
In a preferred embodiment of the object of the invention, the hood consists of an outer casing provided with inner fins, and an inner body in the form of a cube or parallelepiped provided with fins at the bottom. 'exterior of its side walls, while one of its walls faces the cooking appliance, the latter wall directing the gases or vapors towards the peripheral labyrinth formed by the fins of the casing and those of the inner body.
The inner body fins and those. of the casing are staggered, to create intense eddies or turbulences, with the aim of cooling the gases or vapors sucked in, by increasing the heat transmission coefficients.
The fins can be horizontal or tilted against the current.
A removable bottom collects the condensation products.
The valve placed above the labyrinth can have a double seat, and alternately close the orifice of the hood or that of the ventilation opening placed at the height of the ceiling, depending on whether it is a question of evacuating the gases. stagnant on the ceiling or those released by an appliance in service.
The device could further include an air inlet, adjustable, arranged in. the room, and being able to bring in pre-conditioned air by passing through a device consisting, for example, of a heater and a humidifier.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a section taken along the broken line A B C D of FIG. 2.
Fig. 2 is a section taken along the line E F of FIG. 1.
In fig. 1, 1 is the cooking appliance; the vapors which escape are sucked upwards by the vacuum produced in the hood by the fan. These vapors are directed by the wall 2 towards the periphery, where there is a labyrinth formed by the fins 4, 6 and 4 ', 6', fixed on the walls 2 ', 2 "and 5, 5'.
On leaving the labyrinth, they pass into the suction duct 9 through the opening 12, then., Through the orifices 14, 14 'of. valves. 10, 10 ', they arrive at the fan 16, driven by the motor 15.
The parallelepipedal body formed by the walls 2, 2 ', 2 "is suspended by the tie rods 3 from a beam 7, while a curved sheet 8 collects the condensation products which descend from the labyrinth and are evacuated by the tube. 8 'tube.
The valves 10, 10 'alternately close the orifices 13, 13' and 14, 14 '; when the cooking appliance 1 has ceased to operate, the valves 10, 10 'are lowered and close the orifices 14 and 14'; the gas and light vapors which would not have been drawn in by the hood and stagnate towards the ceiling are then drawn in by the fan through the openings 13, 13 ';
the valves 11, 11 ', located at ground level, when open, allow gases and vapors heavier than air to pass into the chimney 9, stagnating on the ground, through the openings 20, 20' (fig . 1). During this last period of operation, the valve 17 is open, and the air conditioning in the device 19 passes into the room through the opening 18.
In fig. 1 and 2, the dotted line f represents the path of the gases and vapors evacuated.
