Description
Method for producing an insulation and sealing covering for roofs, terraces and the like and insulation and sealing covering produced according to this method. The present invention relates to a Her position of an insulation and sealing covering for roofs, terraces and the like go certain method, which is characterized by
that an intermediate layer of thermally insulating material is placed on a synthetic resin foam panel and a waterproof outer ceiling is then formed on this intermediate layer, which is glued by means of a hot bituminous adhesive mass.
The invention also relates to an insulation and sealing covering produced according to this process, which is characterized in that it consists of an underlayer formed by a synthetic resin foam board, a waterproof outer ceiling bonded by means of a bituminous adhesive mass and a waterproof outer ceiling provided between the latter and the underlayer Intermediate layer composed of thermally insulating material.
In the accompanying drawing, a single figure shows a section from an example of a flat roof covering.
a is a concrete ceiling on which a z. B. from cold glue existing adhesive paint b is provided. On this paint a synthetic resin foam sheet c z. B. made of polystyrene, which forms the lower layer of the covering and has a thickness of 40 mm, for example. Such a plate has excellent heat-insulating and sound-absorbing properties, but has the disadvantage that it is not heat-resistant. It would therefore not be possible to apply a hot adhesive mass to such plates. Bituminous adhesives, which are used for the production of insulation and sealing coverings, have a temperature of 150-220 C.
The above-mentioned synthetic resin foam board c collapses instantly at a temperature of at most 65 ° C. For this reason, an insulating mat d forming an intermediate layer is placed on the foam plate c. This insulating mat is expediently made of bituminized wool felt cardboard, which is sprinkled with scrap cork on one side. The thickness of this mat must be around 10 mm in order to achieve the desired thermal insulation effect.
As can be seen from the drawing, the cork scrap layer of the mat is swept down. Finally, a waterproof, bonded outer ceiling e is formed, namely by alternately applying a layer of a hot bituminous adhesive to the top of the insulating mat d by means of a brush and then a roofing felt sheet on the top, if desired a layer of gravel or an aluminum foil is applied.
The covering produced in this way is a technically satisfactory product in every respect, which is also inexpensive.
