Device for the automatic supply of detergents or rinsing agents to a washing machine As is known, lye or rinsing water must be prepared several times during washing. The lye is prepared before each new operation, in particular - as is usually the case - before the pre-wash and the clear wash. Between these two washing processes and after the last one, the laundry is rinsed in order to remove above all the impurities still loosely contained in the laundry, as well as soap residues or the like. For this purpose it is known to soften the rinse water beforehand using an agent suitable for this purpose. From the above, it is necessary to prepare a lye at least twice and the rinse water at least once.
In general, the washing or rinsing water is added by hand before the relevant operation. This means that the device must be used during the automatic washing process, which means that the actual purpose of an automatic washing machine, namely to ensure a completely self-sufficient operation, is not achieved.
Although the automatic supply of a dry detergent or dishwashing agent is now known in automatic washing machines, there are, however, significant deficiencies in the practical design, so that even with newer washing machines, manual washing or dishwashing agent supply has often been used again. For example, a simple device for supplying detergents has become known in which the dry detergent is added to a boiler connected upstream of the washing drum container, into which the water supply controlled by a valve opens. The incoming water softens the detergent and brings it to a solution.
Through an overflow provided between the drum container and the boiler, the dissolved detergent is transferred to the drum when the water flows in again.
Furthermore, it has become known to arrange a detergent feed hopper above washing machines, in the opening of which leading to the washing drum container a screw conveyor is installed, on which an impeller is located. The latter can be driven by utilizing the flow energy of the water flow controlled by a valve, whereby the screw conveyor comes into operation and the Waschmit tel located in the funnel promotes into the washing drum container. The facilities mentioned above are not only relatively cumbersome to build and use, but also have the disadvantage, among other things, that the water required for hot rinsing is not softened.
The invention is now based on the object of creating a device for the automatic supply of detergents or detergents to washing machines, which does not have the above-mentioned deficiencies and which allows the detergent and detergent to be supplied with the simplest structure without a later intervention in the operation of the machine is required. This is achieved according to the invention in that the feed hopper is provided with a base plate which is intended to carry the detergent or rinsing agent and leads to the washing drum container, and that a water supply line is connected directly and via a branch channel to the feed hopper in such a way that in the latter is located washing or
Detergent is rinsed into the drum container by the water flowing through said line. In washing machines that are connected upstream of the washing drum container and connected to it by an overflow which are provided for preparing the washing or rinsing water serving boiler, into which the main supply line for the water opens, both containers are expediently with Feed funnels for the detergent and rinsing agent to be accommodated separately in them are provided, both funnels being connected to the water supply line, which can be opened briefly through a valve, for example via rinsing channels opening at their edge and bottom.
The bottom plate can be designed in such a way that it only partially covers the feed funnel against the washing drum container or the boiler and thus leaves an opening leading to the latter free.
With such a device, it is possible, before the start of the washing process, the washing machine with detergent as well as with detergents, eg. B. a water softener to load. Thanks to the direct access to the funnel, the detergent required for the pre-wash cycle can first be introduced into the drum container and the detergent for the rinse cycle following the pre-wash cycle into the boiler.
In the accompanying drawing, an exemplary embodiment of a device according to the invention is shown schematically on a washing machine.
The washing drum container 1 is connected to a preheater and softening boiler 3 by an overflow 2. For the operation of the washing machine it is necessary that the detergent or dishwashing agent is fed to these containers. The container 1 and the boiler 3 each have a direct feed line 1 'and 3' to the feed hoppers 4, 5.
The funnel outlets are above the mouths 6 and 7 of a rinsing channel 8, to which another feed funnel 9 for receiving the detergent 15 intended for the main wash cycle is connected. The funnel 5 is partially covered against the boiler 3 by a plate-shaped bottom plate 10 on which a detergent 11 can be stored. The flushing channel 8 is connected to a water supply line 13 to be shut off by a solenoid valve 12. Above the channel 8, a baffle plate 14 is provided, which leaves an opening 16 for the passage of the flushing water to two branch channels 18, 19 which are brought up to the upper edge of the two funnels 5, 9.
If the electromagnetically operated valve 12 is opened briefly, the water rising in the line 13 first hits the baffle 14, from where it is pressed in a split stream towards the mouths 6, 7 of the channel 8 with a narrow cross-section. The washing agent 15, which closes the passage of the channel 8, and the rinsing agent 11 are washed away with the flow of water so that they reach the drum container 1 and the boiler 3 via the openings 1 ', 3' the pipe 13 narrow cross-section (not he can be seen in the drawing) of the channel 8 can not flow off so quickly, it rises by bypassing the baffle 14 through the opening 16 into the space 17 above.
From here the water reaches the upper edge of the funnels 9 and 5 via the branch channels 18 and 19, where it runs down the inclined funnel walls and cleans the funnel of the remaining detergent and rinsing agent that is still adhering.
In detail, the new detergent and detergent supply device works in conjunction with the run of the washing process as follows: The water runs into the drum 1 for pre-washing. The pre-wash required for the pre-wash is added by hand through the funnel 4. The boiler 3 connected to the main supply line 20 'via the electromagnetically operated valve 20 is filled with water for the main wash cycle. For this it has to be softened. A water softener is therefore manually added to the water through the funnel 5 via the direct access 3 '.
The detergent required for the main wash cycle is placed in the funnel 9, while the detergent 11 required for the rinse water is stored on the base plate 10 and the slope 5 'of the funnel 5.
When the prewash cycle is over, the water runs out of container 1 and the laundry is spun. The valve 20 then opens again. The water in the boiler 3, already softened by the immediate addition of the softener through the opening 3 ', runs over the overflow 2 into the drum, while the boiler is filled with non-softened water at the same time.
Then the valve 12 controlled by the program controller opens for a short time. The water flowing through the line 13 flows through the channel 8 and on the one hand flushes the detergent 15 through the funnel opening 1 'into the container 1 and on the other hand the detergent stored on the base plate 10 into the boiler 3. At the same time, the space 17 begins with it Fill water. From there, with a delay, the water enters the channels 18 and 19 and finally arrives from above in the funnels 5 and 9, which it cleans from the remaining detergent and washing-up liquid.
Thus, the detergent 15 for the main wash cycle and the detergent 11 for the hot rinse cycle that follows after the spinning off has automatically entered the associated container. All valve actuations required for the detergent and detergent supply are preferably carried out by the program controller.
It is also possible to provide four funnels instead of the three funnels 4, 5, 9 shown, in such a way that the funnel 5 is replaced by two funnels which would have to be arranged in the manner corresponding to the feed funnels 4 and 9. The funnels can also be used in pairs, e.g. B. the funnels 4 and 9 on the left and the funnel 5 be net angeord with another funnel on the right side of the washing machine.
