Fig. 3 zeigt die Anordnung bei der Abhebewalze 115.
Method of removing water from a continuously moving paper web in the roll part of a paper machine and device for practicing this method. In known paper machines, the paper web is usually fed from the forming surface over a free path (i.e. over a path in which the paper web is not supported) guided onto the upper side of a felt web, which guides the paper web through a first pressing device with a smooth upper roll and a lower suction roll. More recently, the suction lift-off has been developed, which requires an endless lift-off felt loop with a suction lift-off roller arranged in the inside of the loop, which presses the felt against the wire screen,
the paper web then lifts off and fed to a first pressing device on the lower side of the felt. This first pressing device comprises an upper smooth roller inside the lift-off felt loop and a lower suction roller inside a second felt loop, which finally picks up the paper web in order to guide it further through the machine. The suction lift allows the machine to run faster and to better utilize it, because there is no risk of the paper web tearing off on the free stretch.
The present invention aims at an improved application of the sucking lift; it allows even higher machine speeds and enables the production of a uniform and smooth paper web.
In the accompanying drawing, the application of the method according to the invention is explained using examples of execution of the subject matter of the invention. It shows: FIG. 1 a schematic representation of the rolling part of a paper machine, FIG. 2 a schematic representation of the rolling part of another paper machine, FIG. 3 a cross section of part of a device for suction lifting of the machine shown in FIG simplified representation,
4 shows a cross-section of part of the suction roller at the first roller clamping of the machine shown in FIG. 2 in a simplified representation and FIG. 5 shows a cross-section of part of the uppermost pressure roller of the machine shown in FIG. 2 in a simplified representation.
The paper machine shown in Fig. 1 and as a whole with 10 be recorded has an endless screen 11 on which the paper web W is formed. The wire runs over a suction chewing roll 12 with a suction surface 12a for dewatering the paper web W and then around a reversing roll 13 so that the direction of the wire 11 is reversed.
In the present paper machine 10, an endless lifting and pressure felt web 14 and a sucking lifting roller 15 (with a suction surface 15a and a fabric hook 1_5b) are arranged inside the loop of the lifting felt web. The suction roll presses the lifting felt web against the paper web W located on the wire 11 (between the chewing roll 12 and the reversing roll 13, where the wire is inclined approximately 35 to the horizontal) in order to lift the paper web W from the wire and onto the lower side of the lift to transfer felt web 14.
A guide roller 16 is arranged (below and in front of the suction roller 15, in the direction of the movement of the paper web) within the loop of the lifting felt web 14 and cooperates with the suction lifting roller 15 to create a first, mainly horizontal or forward path 14a to determine the lift-off felt web 14. The first stretch 14a is inclined slightly downward (about 15 from the horizontal) in the direction of movement of the felt. The stretch 14a grasps the upper side of the paper web W and carries it up to the guide roller 16.
A printing device designated as a whole by P is arranged above the guide roller 16. The printing device comprises a pair of printing rollers 17 and 18, between which there is a pinch N-1. The suction pressure roller 17 is over and behind ter the guide roller 16; and the bare pressure roller 18 is arranged above and in front of the suction pressure roller 17 (in the direction of movement of the paper web). The roller clamping N-1 is generally directed vertically (in the present case it is about 60 degrees upwards directed against the horizontal) and forms an angle with the first section 14 a of the felt 14.
A second stretch 14b of the felt 14 has generally the same direction as the roller nipping N-1 and extends from this nipping to the guide roller 16. In the present case, the first stretch 14a and the second stretch 14b form an angle of about 45 degrees . The stretches 14a and 14b can enclose an angle of about 30 to 80, with the felt web 14, while it leads the paper web W from the wire 11 to the first roller clamp N-1, reverses its direction.
As can be seen, the first Walzeneinklem determination N-1 takes place between a suction roller 17 with a suction surface 17a on the inlet side of the clamping N-1 and a bare roller 18 arranged on the outside of the endless felt web. The suction roller 17 is located inside the endless felt web and mainly below the Walzenein clamping N-1 so that the water from the clamping N-1 can flow freely downwards and in the direction of the suction surface 17a.
It is clear that the suction surface 17a would not function properly if the suction roll were arranged above instead of below the clamp, in other words if the suction roll 17 were above the clamp and the bare roll 18 were located below the clamp, because with such an arrangement the water would flow away in front of the suction surface 17a and make water absorption more difficult.
A complete reversal of the movement of the paper web W on the felt 14 is also possible, so that the felt that originally grasped the paper web from above during the first stretch 14a supports the paper web W from below during the first roller nipping N-1. During the first roller nipping N-1, the paper web W is still quite wet and a considerable amount of water is removed from it, so that the paper web adheres to the bare roller 18 on the trailing side of the nipping N-1.
The suction surface 17a preferably does not extend beyond the roller nip N-1 so that it does not cause the paper web W to adhere to the felt on the downstream side of the nip N-1. The lack of suction, together with the tendency of a partially dry paper web to adhere, allows the paper web W to remain on the surface of the roller 18 and to move with it.
The reversal of direction of the paper web W around the guide roller 16, however, is a different matter. For this reason, means are arranged in the guide roller 16 and the felt web 14, where they move around the guide roller 16, in order to keep the paper web W during the diversion around the guide roller 16 on the felt. These means consist of a second moving felt belt 19 which covers the paper web W on the first felt web and around the first guide roller 16. The second moving felt web 19 is laid around guide rollers 20a, 20b, 20c, 20d, 20e, 20f and 20g.
The guide roller 20d also serves as a tension roller, as the arrow pointing in two directions indicates. This roller 20d is used to set the desired tension in the felt web. The felt web 19 runs around the roller 20a, which presses the felt web against the lower side of the forward stretch 14a of the first felt web 14 to hold the paper web W thereon. Another guide roller 20g, around which the felt web 19 runs, presses the felt 19 against the ascending path 14b of the first felt web 14 in order to hold the paper web W thereon.
As can be seen, the guide rollers 20a and 20g are positioned near the first, 14a, and second, 14b, stretches of the felt web 14 to urge the felt 19 against the web W carried by the felt web 14. The paper web is therefore during the almost complete reversal of direction of their loading movement in the guide roller 16 of both felt tracks 14 and 19 worn. The arrangement for supporting and guiding the paper web W during its reversal of direction is very important.
The reversal of the paper web W means a sudden change in the original direction of movement into another direction including an angle of 90 or less with the original direction of movement. In reality, the reversal of movement preferably forms an angle of about 45 with the original direction of movement, so that the suction roller 17 can be conveniently arranged above and behind the guide roller 16, but at the same time an urgent assembly with respect to the guide roller 16, the suction lifting roller 15 and the other parts of the paper machine arranged in the loop of the absorbent lift-off felt web 14.
This arrangement also allows a single felt 14 to be used for both the suction lift point and the first suction roll nip N-1.
As already mentioned, the paper web W passes over to the smooth surface of the roller 18 at the first roller clamping N-1 and passes through a second roller clamping N-2 on the surface of this roller, which is connected to another roller 20 (above and in front of the smooth Roller 18) is formed, and is finally, as shown in the figure, detached from the upper surface of the smooth roller 18 by a scraper 21a.
The roller clamp N-2 is inclined downward (about 80 from the horizontal), as the figure shows, and the suction surface 20a of the roller 20 is arranged so that they on the clamping surface of the second roller clamp N-2, the suction surface 20a over a considerable Distance on which a running as well as on the running side of the pinching N-2 rests.
In this arrangement, the suction surface 20a extends over a considerable distance on the incoming as well as on the expiring side of the pinch N-2, -and the suction surface 20a of the roller 20 is completely covered by a pressure felt 21, so that this pressure felt 21 the Touches the paper web only on the clamping surface. The size of the suction surface 20a covered with felt is at least equal to the clamping surface and preferably two to three times as large on the upstream as on the downstream side.
In other words, if the actual pressure area of the nip N-2, where the paper web is actually pressed against the felt 21, has a given length of about 21,!, Cm (measured on the circumference), it will always be completely with the felt 21 Covered area on the suction side about 5.7 or more centimeters from the real pressure area he stretch. In the same way, the suction surface on the trailing side will extend 5 to 7 cm beyond the real clamping surface and will be completely covered with the felt 21.
This enables the felt 21 to dry and its pores to open on both sides of the entrapment, which greatly increases the efficiency of the suction surface 20a for draining the paper web and for removing the water that accumulates during the entrapment N-2. The lifting of the paper web W (which adheres to the surface of the smooth roller 18) and the felt 21 directly at the trailing side of the nip N-2 prevents a vacuum from being created between the paper web W and the felt 21 and thus prevents the tilt to draw water through entrapment N-2. The suction rolls 17 and 20 are also equipped with cloth hangers 17b and 20b, respectively.
As can be seen, the felt web 21 is passed in a downwardly inclined plane under a guide roller 22 (approximately 15 below the horizontal).
In Figure 2, 100 denotes a paper machine as a whole, which has an endless screen 111 on which the paper web W is formed. The wire 111 runs over a suction chewing roll 112 with a suction surface 112a, in which the paper web W 'is dewatered, and around a reversing roll 113 for direction reversal.
The machine 100 has an endless lift-off and pressure felt web 114, a suction lift-off roller 115 (with a suction surface 115a and a cloth catcher shell 115b) inside the loop of the lift-off felt web 114, which pulls the lift-off felt 114 against the paper web W 'on the wire 111 pushes to transfer the paper web W 'to the lift-off felt 114. A guide roller 116 inside the lift-off felt web 114 cooperates with the suction lift-off roller 115 and defines a downwardly inclined path 114a of the felt 114.
The section of the wire 111 contacted by the lifting felt 114 is inclined downwards approximately 35 to the horizontal, and the first felt section 114a is inclined approximately 22 downwards in the direction of the felt movement or the paper web movement. A reverse pressure device is disposed over the guide roller 116.
This reverse printing device comprises a first suction pressure roller 117, which has a suction surface 117a in the interior of the lifting and pressure felt web 114, a bare roller 118 with a smooth surface, which with the first pressure roller 117 a first roller clamp N- 11 bil det, a pressure felt 121 and a second suction pressure roller 120 with a suction surface 120a in the interior of the loop of the pressure felt 121, which forms a second roller clamp N-12 with the smooth roller 118.
The nip N-11 extends upward (pointing upward approximately 35 from the horizontal) and forms an angle with respect to the first stretch 114a of the felt 114. A second stretch 114b of the felt 114 extends up to the nip N -11 (it is inclined about 83 to the horizontal) and guides the paper web W 'from the guide roller 116 upwards to the nip N-11. Here, the first segment 114a and the second segment 114b enclose an angle of approximately 60 degrees.
The first roller clamp N-11 is smooth between the suction roller 117 located above and behind the guide roller 116 with its suction opening 117a located on the incoming side of the clamp N-11 and the one outside the felt loop (above and in front of the suction roller 117) Roller 118 is formed. The lifting felt 114 is also guided by means of guide rollers 122 and guided through a dewatering press with an upper bare roller 123 and a lower suction roller 124 with a suction surface 124a and a cloth carrier cup 124b .
During the first clamping N-11, the wet paper web W 'is pressed against the smooth surface of the roller 118 to which it adheres. The wet paper web W 'also adheres to the outlet side of the nip N-11 on the roller 118 with a smooth surface and passes through the second nip N-12.
As noted earlier, the wet paper web adheres well to a roller with a smooth surface, but it usually does not adhere well to a felt, at least not when the same direction changes. In the present case, the suction lift-off felt 114 almost reverses its direction in the case of the guide roller 116, and means are provided which cause the wet paper web W 'to adhere to the felt 114 when the latter changes its direction around the guide roller 116 .
Here these means consist of a suction surface 116a in the guide roller 116, which extends approximately from the point of contact p-1 between the felt 114a and the roller 116 on the upstream side to a point p-2 at the contact of the path 114b and the Roll 116 extends on the downstream side. The suction forces exerted on the suction surface 116a not only serve to further dewater the felt and the paper web, but also hold the paper web W ′ on the felt 114.
It can be seen that in this arrangement, the water from the felt is not pulled through the paper web, but on the contrary from the paper web W 'through the felt 114. Because of the simple operation and the additional dewatering (without using a pressure device), the suction surface 116a represents a preferred means of holding the paper web W 'on the felt 114 looping around the guide roller 116. It should be noted here that the guide felt 19 of the embodiment 10 also serves to drain the paper web.
As already described, the paper web W 'is pressed onto the smooth surface of the rollers 18 at the first roller nipping N-11, and is pressed onto the surface of the roller 118 by a second N-12 with roller 120 (which is above and in front of the smooth Roller 118 is arranged) and is finally released by means of a scraper 121a, as the figure shows, from the roller 118 with a smooth surface.
In fact, the scraper is mainly used to remove the waste pieces during the start-up of the machine, while the paper web W itself has sufficient strength when the machine is running to detach itself from the smooth roller 118 via rollers 125 and 126 run and to enforce a third pinch N-13 between an upper roller 127 with a smooth surface and another suction roller 128 surrounded by a felt 129 guided by guide rollers 130 and 131.
The suction roller (with a suction surface 128a) forms with the bare roller 127 a clamp N-13, in which the upper side of the felt is facing the bare roller. From the nip N-13, the paper web W 'runs down to the drying system with the usual drying roller 132, the film 133 and the guide roller 134. The printing device with the rollers 127 and 128 can of course also be used with the arrangement 10 after the second nipping N -2 can be used in the same way as described above.
But it is important that the second clamping N-12 is directed downwards (about 35 against the horizontal), as the figure shows, and that the suction surface 120a of the roller 120 rests on the clamping surface of the second clamping N-12.
Like the suction surface 20a of the earlier arrangement, the suction surface 120 extends a considerable distance on the upstream and downstream sides of the nip N-12, and the suction surface 120a is completely covered by the pressure felt 121 so that the contact between the pressure felt 121 and the paper web W 'takes place only in the printing area. The size of the felt-covered suction surface 120a should be at least the same, and preferably larger than the actual pressure surface, both on the upstream and downstream sides of the pinch N-12.
In practice it is two to ten times larger than the printing area (on each side). On the downstream side of the nip N-12, the felt 121 is guided around a guide roller 135 in order to achieve a downwardly directed path of the felt 121 (the inclination is about 250 from the horizontal).
From Fig. 5, which shows the jamming between the rollers 118 and 120, it can be seen that the sealing strip 120c on the inlet side in the suction roller 120 extends at an angle a-1 of approximately 20 (and preferably in the range from 10 to 30) the center of the entrapment N-12 is offset angeord net. The sealing strip 120d on the drain side is offset by an equal angle a-2 from the center of the pinch N-12. The running edge x of the fabric hanger 120b is offset by an angle a-3 of about 200 (and preferably -from 10 to 40) relative to the downstream sealing strip 120d.
In this way, the inlet edge x is brought close to the circumferential jacket of the roller 120 and close to the moving felt 121 at the point where it separates from the roller jacket (e.g. opposite the sealing strip 120d), so that the fabric catcher 120b has as much as possible of the catches water thrown off by the roller as a result of centrifugal force. The inclination of the felt 121 allows a corresponding inclination of the bottom of the cloth catcher 120b, so that liquid 1 can collect at the bottom of the same and can be carried away without anything running onto the felt 121.
The felt 121 is inclined downward at an angle α-4 which is sufficient to allow sufficient liquid accumulation l in the cloth bag 120b. The angle α-4 can range from a practical minimum value of 15 to a practical maximum value of 70. At an angle greater than 70, the felt would run almost vertically downwards and no further forward movement would be achieved through the paper machine. It is clear that the paper web must traverse the paper machine continuously and generally forwards and that near vertical movement of the felt would interfere with the forward movement of the paper web. The felt 121 is therefore preferably inclined at an angle α-4 of 20 to 35.
The inclination of the felt 121 creates a rapid separation of the felt from the shell of the roller 120, as a result of which the water thrown off by the latter as a result of the centrifugal force has to pass through the atmosphere (and can be caught by the cloth catcher 120b). It is advantageous to also incline the clamping N-12 downwards by an angle a-5 relative to the horizontal, the angle a-5 being between a minimum value of 20 and a maximum value of approximately 750. The best results are achieved with an angle a-5 of 25 to 45, so that the felt 121 can be conveniently arranged in a plane tangent to the roll shell at a point opposite the running sealing strip 120d.
Another advantage is that a second fabric hook 120b 'can be placed below the felt 121, which catches any moisture thrown off the felt 121. This is an additional advantage that can be achieved with the present printing device N-12 because the paper web W 'is separated from the felt 121 when the rollers are nipped N-12. In this regard, the arrangement shown in FIG. 5 differs from that of FIG. 3.
Fig. 3 shows the arrangement in the case of the lifting roller 115. It can be seen from this that the screen 111 is inclined downward at an angle α-6 of approximately 35 to the horizontal. This angle can be between 20 and 75, but is preferably selected between 24 and 40. The sealing strip 115c on the incoming side and the sealing strip 115d on the outgoing side are set at an angle a-7 of about 20 against each other, but can also be offset by 10 to 30 against each other. In general, the width of the suction surface in the suction lifting roller is not so large, at least not the area with great suction force which causes the actual lifting of the paper web W '.
The leading edge x 'of the fabric catcher 115b is offset by an angle α-8 of about 20 and preferably by a range between 10 and 40 from the sealing strip 115d on the trailing side so that it is close to the roll shell and close to the felt 114 , and water which is thrown off the shell of the roller 115 due to the centrifugal force, can catch. The downwardly inclined felt 114 with the underlying paper web W 'is inclined at an angle α-9 of about 22 to the horizontal.
This angle can, however, be between a practical minimum of about 15 (which still allows the cloth hanger 115b to be fastened and still allows liquid to accumulate) and a practical maximum of about 70 (above which the paper web no longer moves forward sufficiently).
The angle α-9 is preferably 20 to 35. 4 shows the transition of the paper web W 'from the felt 114 to the roller 118 with a bare upper surface, in the case of the first roller nipping N-11. The entrapment N-11 is directed upwards at an angle α-10 of 30 to 85 and preferably about 35 to 45 relative to the horizontal. In this way, the water withdrawn from the paper web W 'during the jamming N-11 can flow quickly and freely downwards and over the suction surface 117a.
This suction surface is arranged between the running sealing strip 117c, which is almost in the middle of the jamming, and the approximately 20 (preferably in the area 10 to 30) offset sealing strip 117d on the inlet side.
