Stackable storage box made of plastic The invention relates to a stackable storage box made of plastic with a front viewing and removal opening for the box contents.
Boxes of this type are already known. In terms of their shape, they practically correspond to the metal boxes of the same type. In order to enable them to be stacked on top of one another, a baseboard is arranged in the area of the lower edge of the side walls, which protrudes outward over the wall surface and with which the storage box is placed on the upper, outwardly cranked edge of the wall surfaces of a second storage box becomes. These baseboards make the mold for manufacturing the plastic storage boxes disproportionately complicated and expensive. In addition, the baseboard is sensitive to damage.
In order to improve the storage boxes made of plastic, it is proposed according to the invention to arrange vertical ribs on the outer sides of the vertical side walls and the rear wall, which extend from the cranked outward, the stacking rail for the next attached storage box forming the upper edge to the bottom of the box .
In front of the front inclined wall surface of the Ka most is preferably below the upper edge of a downwardly open, as a handle, the nende pocket. Furthermore, a second handle is preferably seen on the rear wall of the box. For this purpose, the middle part of the cranked upper edge of the rear wall can be widened outwards. With these two handles, the storage box or a whole stack of boxes can be carried easily and effortlessly.
Various embodiments of stackable storage boxes according to the invention are explained below with reference to the drawing.
Fig. 1 shows a side view of a storage box, in which wall parts are broken away in order to make details more clearly recognizable, Fig. 2 shows a section through part of the side wall in the area of the front upper corner of a storage box, where the connecting strut is attached is, Fig. 3 is a plan view of part of the side wall in the area of the front upper corner of the box.
The storage box made of plastic is, as can be seen in FIG. 1, occupied on the side walls 1 and on the rear wall 2 with, for example, solid ribs 3, which reinforce the wall surfaces and form a supporting structure. The ribs 3 extend from the underside of the outwardly bent upper edge 4 of the side walls 1 and the rear wall 2 to the bottom 5 of the container. The ribs are advantageously continued under the bottom of the container, with feet 6 being formed which reach under the bottom 5 to a certain extent. But it is also possible to let the ribs 3 go all the way under the floor 5, so that instead of the feet 6 there are baseboards.
The ribs 3 or their lower ends, the feet 6, protrude so far outward that the storage boxes can be safely placed on top of one another, with the feet 6 standing on the outwardly cranked upper edge of the lower box, and between them and the vertical strips of the cranking only a small amount of play remains. The arrangement of the ribs makes it possible to keep the wall thickness of the walls relatively low without the strength and stability of the box suffering; this saves material, which has a significant impact on the cost of the box.
Depending on the size of the box and its wall surfaces, two or three or possibly more ribs are provided for each wall surface, through which a support frame reinforcing and supporting the box is formed.
If the ribs run from one wall surface to the other over the entire floor, this also experiences a reinforcement and its wall surface can also be kept lower who the. If necessary, the wall surfaces can also be stiffened by cross ribs if the storage and transport boxes are to be used for particularly heavy workpieces, tools or other parts.
The Rip pen attached to the vertical walls are usually solid. But they can also be profiled, preferably in such a way that grooves are located along the outer ribs in the walls on their insides.
For practical handling of the stackable storage boxes, a downwardly open pocket 8 serving as a handle is provided in front of the outwardly inclined front of the wall 7 of the box, which through the wall surface 9 extending downward from the upper edge of the wall 7 and the extensions 1 ' the side walls 1 is formed.
A frame 10 for plug-in signs can be arranged on the outside of the wall surface 9.
A second handle is formed on the rear wall 2 in that the middle part of the outwardly bent edge 4 of the rear wall 2 is widened to the rear or to the outside.
So that boxes of smaller size can be placed on their upper cranked edge 4 at about twice the size, the lower part 7 'of the inclined front wall 7 is designed to run vertically, so that it is parallel to the vertical edge strip 12 of the upper edge 4 lies and this is not pressed outwards.
With larger storage boxes made of plastic, it is sometimes advantageous, for reasons of stiffening, to connect the two front upper corners 13 of the side walls 1 to one another by a strut. This can optionally be made of the same material as the box itself, d. H. that this is attached during its manufacture, so that the strut and the box consist of one piece. But it is also possible to use the strut afterwards.
For this purpose, either an insertion slot 14 for the angled end 15 of a sheet metal brace 16 (FIG. 2) or, for example, a dovetail slot 17 (FIG. 3) into which the dovetail-shaped end 18 is provided in the side wall 1, preferably in the area of the ribs 3 a plastic strip 19 is used and is preferably attached by gluing or the like. The strut 19 or 16 can, however, optionally also in other known ways, for. B. by a rivet 20, are secured.
