Exchangeable grounding contact on axle bearings of rail vehicles The invention relates to an exchangeable grounding contact on axle bearings of rail vehicles with a contact brush located in a dust- and oil-tight housing by spring pressure centrically against the contact surface of a contact grinding body connected to the axle journal, which contact brushes with one of the contact connections is armored for the power cable receiving metal sleeve.
The invention represents a further development of the subject .des German patent No. 903821. The grounding contact according to the present invention is characterized in that the metal sleeve is divided into two spaces inside by a wall, of which the smaller space is used to accommodate the Contact brush and the opposite space to accommodate the compression spring, through which the metal sleeve and thereby the contact brush are pressed against the contact grinding surface of the journal, as well as the surface of the wall facing the spring serve as a connection surface for the contact connection.
Advantageously, only the shaft of the contact brush sits in the metal sleeve, with which it can be firmly screwed. For this purpose, in a special embodiment, a threaded ring is soldered or pressed onto the contact brush shaft, the external thread for screwing into the front, internally threaded part of the metal sleeve. In order to facilitate screwing in and unscrewing, the circumference of the threaded ring is expediently provided with fitting surfaces for attaching a key.
So that the metal sleeve cannot rotate in its holder, it can be secured by a sliding wedge connection, in particular a tongue and groove. In order to ensure an unimpeded axial displacement of the metal sleeve and thus the contact brush, there is advantageously a play between the front part of the contact brush protruding from the metal sleeve and the inner wall of the metal sleeve accommodating the holder bore.
A grounding contact designed according to the invention has the advantage that the contact brush sits firmly in the metal sleeve without play and consequently has no contact with the holder. The contact brush is also protected against peeling on the grinding surface as a result of edge pressures by the holder, which can occur due to the action of unsprung and shortly successive rail joints. Another significant advantage is that the actual contact brush can be kept short and replacement is more economical.
The guide part formed by the metal sleeve of the con tact brush can be made longer than before. The arrangement of the brush impression spring within the metal sleeve results in a compact construction art. Furthermore, the brush guide length in the holder remains constant regardless of the brush wear.
Embodiments of the invention are illustrated by the drawings. 1 shows a longitudinal section through the holder of the contact brush together with adjacent parts of the axle bearing housing, FIG. 2 shows an end view of the holder in the direction of arrow A in FIG. 1 and FIG. 3 shows a further embodiment of the holder together with the contact brush, partly in section , partly in sight.
As the drawing in FIGS. 1 and 2 shows, the brush 1 is not seated directly on the holder 2, but with its shaft 3 in a special metal sleeve 4. The front part 5 of this metal sleeve 4 takes the shaft 3 of the brush 1 on. The outer diameter of the front brush head 6 is smaller than the outer diameter of the metal sleeve 4. Between the brush 1 and the holder 2 there is a space 7. The metal sleeve 4 is displaceable in the holder 2 in the axial direction. It has an annular partition 8 which is verbun with the shaft 3 of the brush 1 via screws 9 to the. Furthermore, this partition 8 has connections 10 for the cables 11.
In the metal sleeve 4 sits a helical compression spring 12 which rests against a housing shoulder 13 and against the annular intermediate wall 8 of the metal sleeve 4 and presses this, and thus the brush 1, in the direction of the contact grinding surface 14 of the journal 15.
The metal sleeve 4 is secured against rotation by a sliding wedge 16 located in a groove 17, one half of which engages on the circumference of the metal sleeve 4 and the other half of which engages the holder 2.
The brush 1 is advantageously not pot-shaped, son countries tubular in order to create the possibility for the implementation of a shaft 18 from the vehicle axis. The shaft 18 is used to drive auxiliary devices, such as Ge speed meter, etc., which isolates current from the shaft, d. H. are connected with couplings made of non-conductive material.
Furthermore, the contact surface of the brush is provided with radially extending slots 19, preferably with three slots, which are each set by 120 to each other, whereby a three-surface contact surface is given and at the same time an outflow for the brush dust is achieved so that this can no longer hinder the contact effect.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 3, the brush 1 is provided on its shaft with a ring 20 soldered on or pressed onto it, which has an external thread for screwing into the front part of the metal sleeve 4, which has a corresponding internal thread. To secure against loosening, a screw 21 is also provided, which connects the shaft of the brush to the annular partition 8. The threaded ring 20 has on its circumference Aussparun gene 22 for engaging a correspondingly designed wrench.
