Friction clutch with release device The present invention relates to a friction clutch with release device, in which the frictional connection is effected by a clamping spring, which clutch is characterized in that one part of the two parts to be coupled together by the spring is coaxial in the other part and with respect to this is arranged to be axially displaceable, the spring resting on one of these parts in a clamping manner during the force transmission and engaging with its radially bent ends in a longitudinal recess of the other part, at one edge of which the one end of the spring transmitting a moment of force is applied,
and that means are provided for axially displacing one of the two parts coupled by the spring with respect to the other, in such a way that when one of said parts is moved with respect to the other part, the force-transmitting end of the spring out of said longitudinal recess - Or occurs in an expansion of the same, whereby the spring is relaxed and thus the non-positive connection of the two parts is canceled.
This friction clutch with a release device can serve very different purposes, the clamping spring coupling a rotatable part with a non-rotatable part and thus preventing rotation, or it can be intended to transmit a torque from a driving part to a driven part. The spring can either rest with its outside on the inside of a hollow part or with its inside on a shaft or the like.
The disengagement device can be designed to act automatically, in such a way that when the friction clutch is overloaded, it is automatically disengaged.
This friction clutch with release device can be designed in a simple manner so that it can act in both directions of rotation.
In the drawing, two application examples of two exemplary embodiments of the subject of the invention are shown schematically. They show: Fig. 1 an electrical actuating device for a switch of a suspension track, which is provided with a friction clutch with automatically acting release device when overloaded, in vertical, axial section, Fig. 2 a part of a plan view of this loading actuating device, partially in section ,
Fig. 3 is a section along the line III-III in Vig. 1, and P'ig. 4 shows an axial section through part of a gear transmission, which is provided with a friction clutch with a disengaging device that acts automatically when overloaded.
In P'ig. 1 is denoted by 1 with a stationary, reversible electric motor not shown, on one side of which a flange 2 is attached by means of screws 3, in which one end of a tube 4 coaxial to the shaft of the electric motor 1 is firmly inserted. In the part of the tube 4 facing the electric motor 1, in a double thrust ball bearing 5, which is held axially immovable in the tube 4 between two expanding rings 6, the end of a threaded spindle 8 that is coaxial to the shaft of the electric motor 1 is provided with a collar 7 not axially displaceable. On the shafts butt 9 des.
Electric motor 1 is wedged tightly by means of a wedge 10 with a hexagonal head 11, onto which a hexagonal pipe section 12 protruding over it on the side facing away from the electric motor 1 is welded. On one on the side of the electric motor 1 on the collar 7 protruding, provided with a thread stump 13 of the threaded spindle 8, a hexagon head 14 is screwed, which is secured by a pin 15 ge.
This hexagonal head 14, the external dimensions of which correspond to the hexagonal head 11, engages in the part of the hexagonal pipe section 12 protruding beyond the hexagonal head 11, so that the threaded spindle 8 is coupled to the shaft of the electric motor 1 through this hexagonal pipe section 12. The threaded spindle 8 has on its part facing away from the electric motor 1 a long threaded part 15 on which a nut 16 can be screwed. This nut 16 is mounted in a ball bearing 17 which is axially displaceably guided in a tube 18 which in turn is axially displaceably guided in the tube 4.
The tube 18 has at its central part a slot 19 extending in its longitudinal direction, in wel chen the end of a pressure nipple inserted into the tube 4 engages and thereby prevents rotation of the tube 18 in the tube 4. The ball bearing 17 is held in the tube 18 between two compression springs 21 and 22. The compression spring 21 is supported on a ring 23 which is inserted into the end of the tube 18 facing away from the electric motor 1 and held in this by an expanding ring 24 inserted into a groove in this tube 18. A ring-shaped cover 25 is placed on this end of the tube 18 by means of an adapter and is connected to the ring 23 by screws 26 distributed in a circle.
One end of a tube 27, in which the end part of the threaded part 15 of the threaded spindle 8 can move, is firmly inserted into the cover 25. This tube 27 is inserted into the end of the tube 4 facing away from the electric motor 1 and is guided by two ring 29 inserted into grooves in this tube 4. In the end of the tube 27 facing away from the cover 25, a socket piece 30 is firmly inserted, which has an internal thread into which the end of a screw bolt 31 is screwed and secured by an adjusting nut 32.
This screw bolt 31 is seated in a radially protruding manner on a bushing 33 which is pushed onto the bolt 34 of a switch tongue (not shown further) of a suspension track or the like and is secured on this bolt by an annular disk 35 and a split pin 36. A ring 37 is screwed onto the screw bolt 31, which rests against the bushing 33 and on which one end of a bellows 39 is fastened by means of a clamping ring 38, the other end of which is also fastened to the tube 4 by means of a clamping ring 40.
The compression spring 22 is supported on a ring 41 which rests against one end of a sleeve 42 inserted into the tube 18, which is held in the tube 18 by a spreader ring 43 set in a groove in the same. At the end of the tube 18 facing the electric motor 1, a cutout 44 is provided in which a tab 45 cut out of the end of the sleeve 42 and bent outward engages, which prevents the sleeve 42 from rotating in the tube 18. The nut 16 has on the opposite side to the electric motor 1 a tubular extension 46 on which a clamping spring in the form of a choke coil spring 47 is held between two clamping rings 48 used in grooves provided on it.
The two ends of the choke spring 47, which has several turns, are bent radially outward and engage in a longitudinal slot 49 of the sleeve 42, which extends over the entire length thereof. As can be seen from Fig. 2, the longitudinal slot 49 at one end of the sleeve 42 has a widening 50 to one side and at the other end of the sleeve 42 a similar widening 51 to the other side, with an inclined transition surface 52 or 53 from the relevant edge of the longitudinal slot 49 into this expansion 50 or 51.
In Fig. 1 and 2, the electrical actuating device for a switch of a suspension track is shown in a central position. In operation, however, the actuating device will always be in one of its end positions and only pass through the center position shown when moving from one end position to the other. If the switch tongue is in its one operating position, the actuating device shown is in its one limit position, with the end of the tube 18 lying against the electric motor 1, for example, on the adjacent expanding ring 6. If the electric motor 1 is now switched on to switch the switch tongue, the threaded spindle 8 coupled to its shaft is set in rotation.
The nut 16 is prevented from turning by the choke spring 47, the outwardly protruding ends of which engage in the longitudinal slot 49 of the sleeve 42, so that it is screwed onto the threaded part 15 of the rotating threaded spindle 8 and moves away from the electric motor 1 moved, wherein it ver pushes the tube 18 with all parts in it via the compression spring 21. During this movement, the end of the choke spring 47 facing away from the electric motor 1 is pressed against the edge of the longitudinal slot 49 of the sleeve 42 on the side of the cutout 51 (FIG. 2), as a result of which the choke spring 47 is twisted together even more that their friction on the approach 46 of the nut 16 and thus their braking effect is increased.
From the ver in the tube 4 sliding tube 18 is moved over the cover 25, the tube 27, the socket piece 30, the screw bolt 31 and the bushing 33 of the bolt 34 and thereby switched the switch tongue. If the Wei chenzunge has reached its other operating position, it can no longer move and its bolt 34 prevents further displacement of the tube 18 in the tube 4. The threaded spindle 8 continues to rotate for the time being and since the nut 16 rotates with the Threaded part 15 of the threaded spindle 8 is prevented, the nut 16 is displaced with the ball bearing 17 in the tube 18 while compressing the compression spring 21 against the ring 23.
The outwardly protruding ends of the choke spring 47 move in the longitudinal slot 49 of the sleeve 42. When the end of the choke spring 47 facing away from the electric motor 1 reaches the transition surface 53 and slides over it into the recess 51, the choke spring becomes 47 relaxed. The choke spring 47 is carried along by the further rotating extension 46 of the nut 16 until its end facing the electric motor 1 rests on the edge of the sleeve 42 lying on the side of the recess 51 and is thereby turned even further, so that the Friction between this choke spring 47 and the approach 46 of the nut 16 is further reduced.
Since on the one hand the resistance of the compression spring 21 increases and on the other hand the inhibiting effect of the choke spring 47 on the shoulder 46 of the nut 16 decreases, the nut 16 finally rotates with the threaded spindle 8 so that it is no longer moved in the axial direction. The electric motor 1, which has meanwhile been switched off again, does not need to be stopped, but is gradually braked. If the switch tongue is prevented from moving by any obstacle, the actuating device is brought into freewheeling mode in the same way, so that damage to the switch or to any part of the actuating device cannot occur.
If the electric motor 1 is switched on with the opposite direction of rotation, the switch tongue is switched over in opposite directions, except that the end of the cube spring 47 facing the electric motor 1 rests against the edge of the sleeve 42 that delimits the longitudinal groove 49 on the side of the recess 50 and in the further course of the movement reaches the recess 50 via the transfer surface 52.
The ball bearing 17 can interact with an electrical switching device (not shown in the drawing) in such a way that the electric motor 1 is switched off by this switching device when the ball bearing 17 reaches one of its end positions in the tube 4.
In the part of a gear transmission shown in Fig. 4, a shaft 61 is axially displaceable in three ball bearings 62, 63 and 64, which are in a fixed location in a housing or stand not provided in the drawing. Between the ball bearings 62 and 63 a seated on the shaft 61 drive gear 65 is held, which is coupled to the shaft 61 by a radially inserted pin 66, the outer end of which engages in a helical groove 67 in the bore of the wheel 65 is.
Between tween two on the mutually facing sides of the ball bearings 63 and 64 abutting annular disks 68 and 69, a driven gear 72 is rotatably mounted on two bushings 70 and 71 seated on the shaft 61. Between the bushings 70 and 71 is a sleeve 73 firmly connected to the output gear 72, which has a longitudinal slot 74 extending over its entire length, which at one end has a widening 75 on one side and at its other end on the other side has an extension 76, transition surfaces from the sleeve edges at the longitudinal slot 74 in these extensions 75 and 76.
A choke spring 77 having several turns is held on the shaft 61 between two clamping rings 78 inserted in annular grooves in the shaft 61. The two ends of the choke spring 77 are bent radially outward and engage in the longitudinal slot 74 of the sleeve 73. In FIG. 4, the sleeve 73 is not shown in section, but in a view so that its longitudinal slot 74 with the widenings 75 and 76 is visible is. At its end part protruding beyond the ball bearing 62, the shaft 61 has an annular groove 79 in which a rounded head 80 of one arm of a two-armed lever 81 engages, which lever 81 is mounted on an axis 87 perpendicular to the shaft 61 and arranged on the housing or stand .
The other arm of the lever 81 is held in its central position between two compression springs 83 and 84, which are supported on abutment bearings 85 and 86 fixedly provided on the housing or stand, with the head 80 of the other arm of this lever 81 the shaft 61 in holds a position in which the pin 66 in the middle of the groove 67 of the bore of the drive gear 65 and the two protruding radially ends of the choke spring 77 in the longitudinal slot 74 of the sleeve 73 are.
The drive gear 65 from any given engine, not shown in the drawing, torque is via the pin 66 of the shaft 61 and from this through the one of the radially protruding ends of the cube 77, which is located in the longitudinal slot 74 of the sleeve 73 to the creates an edge of the latter and thereby turns or tightens the choke spring 77, the dragging frictional force between this choke spring 77 and the shaft 61 is increased, transferred to the sleeve 73 and the output gear 72 firmly connected to it.
If the resistance that the output gear 72 encounters from the gear driven by it, not shown in the drawing, increases by a certain amount, the pin 66 tends to lag behind the drive gear 65. This has the consequence that the pin 66 moves in the helical groove 67 of the bore of the drive gear 65 and, since the drive gear 65 is not held axially displaceable, this causes an axial displacement of the shaft 61 with the one on it between the clamping rings 78 held chopper 77.
With this displacement of the shaft 61 and the choke spring 77, the end of the choke spring 77 resting on the edge of the sleeve 73 reaches the transfer surface and, depending on the direction of rotation, in one of the widenings 75 or 76, whereby the choke spring 77 is relaxed so that the shaft 61 can rotate in the choke spring 77. The other end of the choke spring 77 comes to rest on the edge of the sleeve 73, on which the other end of the choke spring 77 had previously applied, which causes this choke spring 77 to be twisted or even more relaxed so that it is removed from the shaft 61 is no longer taken.
Despite the fact that the shaft 61 continues to rotate at normal speed, the output gear 72 remains stationary and it is impossible for a further, forced rotation of the output gear 72 to damage the transmission or a machine or device driven by it. Due to the axial displacement of the shaft 61, one of the compression springs 83 or 84 is compressed via the lever 81. As soon as the resistance provided to the output gear 72 decreases to the permissible level, the shaft 61 is pushed back by this compression spring 83 or 84 via the lever 81 into the central position.
This automatic engagement and disengagement of the friction clutch occurs in both directions of rotation of the gear transmission.
If the drive gear 65 is driven by an electric motor, the lever 81 can, if appropriate, interact with an electric switching device not shown in the drawing in such a way that the electric motor is switched off when the lever 81 is pivoted out of its central position.
The lever 81 can optionally also be designed for manual actuation and be provided with locking means in such a way that the gearwheel transmission can be transferred to freewheel by pivoting and locking this lever in the laterally pivoted position. In such an embodiment, the groove 67 is not designed in the shape of a helix, but rather straight and running in the axial direction.
