Process for the production of new monoazo dyes The present invention relates to a process for the production of new monoazo dyes which have a 1,3,5-triazine radical bonded via a nitrogen bridge, which has an exchangeable halogen atom and an alkyl group bonded directly to the third carbon atom of the triazine radical. , Alkenyl, Cycloalkyl, Arälkyl- or Arylrest contains, z.

where R denotes the remainder of a diazo component of the benzene series, R1 denotes the remainder of an azo component bonded to the azo group adjacent to an amino or oxy group and R2 denotes an alkyl, alkenyl, cycloalkyl, aralkyl or aryl group.
These monoazo dyes can be prepared by the coupling route from coupling components and diazo compounds which couple in a position adjacent to an amino or oxy group and which have a radical of the formula bonded via a nitrogen bridge, in particular via an -NH group
EMI0001.0035
contain, where R2 corresponds to the definition given in formula (1).
Such diazo components can be obtained by methods known per se by condensation of one mole of a cyanuric trihalide and 1 mole of an alkyl, alkenyl, cycloalkyl,
Aralkyl or aryl magnesium halide obtainable dihalide of the formula
EMI0001.0049
obtained with one mole of a diamine which, in addition to a diazotizable group, has at least one reactive hydrogen atom bonded to a nitrogen atom.
So in the present process FITS valuable diazo components of the benzene series which contain a radical of formula (2), for. B. obtainable from diamines of the benzene series by reacting them with one mole of a halide of formula (3).
The condensations with the dihalotriazines of the formula (3) are expediently carried out in the presence of acid-binding agents, such as sodium acetate or sodium carbonate. In these reactions, it goes without saying that one must proceed in such a way that at least one exchangeable halogen atom remains in the finished product.
As examples of amines obtainable in this way, the diazo compounds of which are suitable as starting materials in the present process, the following may be mentioned: Condensation products from one mole of 2-methyl-, 2-ethyl-, 2-allyl-, 2-benzyl-, 2-phenyl- or 2-p-methylphenyl-4,6-dichloro-1,3,5-triazine with one mole of 4,4'-diaminodiphenylmethane, 4,4'-dimethyl-3,3'-diaminodiphenylmethane,
4,4'-diaminodiphenyl, 4,4'- or 2,4'-diaminodiphenyl ether, 4,4'-dichloro-2,2'-diaminodiphenyl ether, 4,4'- or 2,2 'diaminodiphenyl sulfide, 2, 4'- or 3,3'-diaminodiphenyl sulfone or preferably with one mole of a monocyclic diamine, such as 1,4-diaminobenzene, 1,3-diaminobenzene, 1,4-diaminobenzene-3-sulfonic acid, 1,3-diaminobenzene 4-sulfonic acid,
2,5-diamino-1-methylsulfone, 2,5-diamino-1-sulfonic acid amide, also with 1 mol of 2,5-diamino-1,1'-diphenyl sulfone.
As coupling components, aromatic amino compounds such. B. naphthylamines, 2-aminonaphthalenesulfonic acids, as well as oxy compounds, which also include coupling ketomethylene compounds which can couple in the vicinity of an enolized or enolizable keto group; as such are mentioned:
5-pyrazolones and β-ketocarboxylic acid arylides. Furthermore, phenols, naphthols, e.g. B. a- and ss-naphthol, acylaminonaphthols, 1- or 2-oxynaphthalene mono- or disulfonic acids, 2-amino-8-oxynaphthalene-6-sulfonic acid can be used as azo components.
The starting materials are advantageously chosen so that at most 2, but preferably a single, sulfonic acid group is present in the finished dye.
The diazotization of the amines used as starting materials in the present process can be carried out by methods known per se, for. B. with the help of mineral acids, especially hydrochloric acid and sodium nitrite. The coupling of the diazo compounds obtained in this way with the azo components takes place under such conditions that the exchangeable halogen present in the starting materials does not react, that is to say expediently in a weakly acidic to weakly alkaline medium and at temperatures which are kept as low as possible.
The monoazo dyes of the formula (1) which have a single sulfonic acid group are particularly valuable.
The new monoazo dyes of the formula (1) are suitable for dyeing and printing a wide variety of materials, in particular nitrogen-containing textile materials such as silk, leather and, above all, wool, and synthetic fibers made from superpolyamides and super-polyurethanes. They are also suitable for normal acid dyeing, e.g. B. from baths containing acetic acid or sulfuric acid, in particular also for dyeing from weakly alkaline, neutral or weakly acidic bath, preferably from a bath whose pH value is between 5 and 7.
The dyeings and prints obtained in this way are uniform and are distinguished by a particular purity of their hues, by good lightfastness and by excellent wash and milled fastnesses, especially in the alkaline range.
In the following examples, unless otherwise stated, the parts are parts by weight, the percentages are percentages by weight, and the temperatures are given in degrees Celsius.
Example 1 37.8 parts of the condensation product of 1 mole of 2-phenyl-4,6-dichlorotriazine and 1 mole of 1,3-diamino-benzene-4-sulfonic acid are in 300 parts of water and 25 parts Slurried 30% hydrochloric acid and diazotized at about 10 to 15 with 25 parts by volume of 4N sodium nitrite solution. The yellow ge
colored diazo suspension is mixed with 30 parts of sodium acetate (CH "- CO, Na - 3H20) and then at 10 to 15 gradually with a solution of 22.9 parts of 1- (2'-chloro-6 ' -methylphenyl) -3-methyl-5-pyrazolone in 104 parts by volume of 1 N sodium hydroxide solution ver.
When the coupling is complete, the deposited dye is filtered, washed with 1% sodium chloride solution and dried in vacuo.
The dry dye is a yellow powder, dissolves in hot water with a greenish yellow color and dyes wool and fibers made of superpolyamides from neutral or weakly acetic acid baths in uniform, washable, millfast and lightfast, greenish yellow tones.
The condensation product used as starting material can be prepared as follows: 22.6 parts of 2-phenyl-4,6-dichlorotriazine are dissolved at 30 in 300 parts by volume of acetone. Then whoever added a solution of 18.8 parts of 1,3-diaminobenzene-4-sulfonic acid as the sodium salt in 300 parts of water and 100 parts by volume of a 4N sodium acetate solution.
The reaction mixture is stirred at 30 to 35 hours for 4 hours. The acetone is then distilled off in vacuo. The aqueous suspension is acidified to Congo with hydrochloric acid and filtered. The condensation product obtained in good yield can be used directly for dye production.
If, instead of the diazo and coupling components given in Example 1, those from columns I and II of the following table are used, similar dyes are obtained which dye wool in the shades given in column III.

3-Diaminobenzene-4-sulfonic acid is suspended in 300 parts of water and 25 parts of hydrochloric acid and diazotized at 5 to 10 with 25 parts by volume of sodium nitrite. The pale yellowish diazo suspension obtained is treated with 30 parts of sodium acetate (CH "COONa - 3H20) and then at 25 to 30 with a solution of the sodium salt of 23, acidified with acetic acid.
9 parts of 2-amino-8-oxynaphthalene-6-sulfonic acid are added in 200 parts of water. Dyeing instructions 2 parts of the dye obtainable according to Example 1 are dissolved in 4000 parts of water, 10 parts of crystallized sodium sulfate are added to the dyebath and 100 parts of wool melt at 40 to 50 parts.
2 parts of 40% acetic acid are then added, the mixture is brought to the boil in half an hour and dyeing is carried out for 3½ hours at this temperature. After rinsing and drying, a greenish yellow, lightfast coloration is obtained, which is very washable and whackfast. The same result is obtained if no acetic acid is added to the dyebath. If superpolyamide fibers are used instead of wool, a greenish yellow, lightfast coloration is also obtained.
