Transmission device The present invention relates to a positive transmission device between a motor shaft and a drive shaft, which is characterized in that the motor shaft and the drive shaft each carry a drum. in the form of a helical spiral and by the fact that these two drums are inverted and connected to each other by a flexible transmission member, so that this device at least partly compensates for a progressive reduction in the engine torque.
The single figure of the appended drawing represents schematically and by way of example, an embodiment of the device, object of the invention.
A motor shaft 1 rotating in bearings 2 is driven by a motor 3 consisting of an energy accumulator. In the example shown, this motor comprises springs wound in a spiral and one of the ends of which is fixed to the motor shaft, while the other end is fixed in a beam 4.
The motor shaft 1 carries a drum 5 in the form of a helical spiral, the end of which has the largest diameter is located near the end of the motor shaft.
A drive shaft 6 rotating in bearings 7 (only one of which is shown) also carries a drum 8 in the form of a helical spiral. This second drum 8 is mounted on the shaft 6 with its end of small diameter located near the end of this shaft. Thus, this drum 8 is reversed relative to the drum 5.
A flexible transmission member 9 connects these two drums 5 and 8 and winds on one of the drums as it unwinds from the other drum.
When the motor 3 is fully armed, the flexible member 9 is wound over the entire length of the drum 8 and over only a small portion of the large diameter part of the drum 5. The drive shaft is mechanically connected to a driven member, such as, for example, an elevating platform, by a device for controlling its activation. Such a mechanism is described in Patent No. 333825.
When the spring motor relaxes, the motor shaft 1 rotates in the direction of arrow f and the drive shaft in the direction of arrow f1. Accordingly, the flexible member 9 winds onto the drum 5 from its large diameter end to its small diameter end, and simultaneously unwinds from the drum 8 from its small diameter end to its small diameter end. 'at its large diameter end.
Thus, as the energy stored in the motor decreases, and therefore as the torque acting on the motor shaft 1 decreases, the angular displacement of the shaft 1 necessary to cause an angular displacement value given in tree 6, increases.
It follows that the device described constitutes a torque variator, making it possible, mainly, to rationally use the energy stored in the motor, thanks to the fact that the torque exerted on the shaft 6 can be maintained at a value practically constant during a large part of the engine relaxation. The tests carried out have shown that this transmission device can reduce the weight of a spring motor by up to 60%.
Multiple variants of execution of the device described can be provided. Thus, for example, the flexible transmission member constituted, in the example shown, by a cable, could also be constituted by a chain.
This transmission device can be used in conjunction with other types of accumulator or energy recuperator, such as pneumatic accumulators comprising a compression cylinder in which slides a piston connected to the motor shaft. 1. In this type of energy accumulator, the torque supplied to the motor shaft gradually decreases as the stored energy is used.
