One-piece sheet metal cage on cylindrical roller bearings The subject matter of the invention is a one-piece sheet metal cage on cylindrical roller bearings. which leads ge on the edges of a runway ring, has only low weight with great stability and as a result, see auszeiehnet through favorable running properties. Another advantage of the cage according to the invention is that it is cheap to manufacture. Compared to known sheet metal cages, the cost of material and production time, assuming the same good running properties, is significantly lower.
Sheet metal cages for cylindrical roller bearings are known in various designs, but all of which are either unsatisfactory in terms of the properties, durability or inexpensive manufacture. So who led the all known sheet metal cages for cylinder roller bearings on the rollers. However, especially for high-speed bearings that are becoming increasingly important, the cage must be guided on the shelves. In order to maintain a low weight, the well-known cages were made from relatively very thin sheet metal and the cage is given rigidity through multiple deformations. Apart from the fact that complicated tools are required for this work, high-quality deep-drawn sheets must also be used to avoid cracks.
The fiction, contemporary cage has a very simple shape that allows the use of cheap tools and sheet metal of normal quality. Nevertheless, the cage according to the invention is very dimensionally stable. The two flanged pipe ends give it a high degree of rigidity, and the size of the wall thickness is advantageously such that it is still possible to punch cage pockets. It is also possible to use the roles, for. B. to visit the runway to take it out of the cage without deformation or even destruction of the cage.
An embodiment of the subject invention is on the drawing provides Darge.
Fig. 1 is an axial section of a roller bearing equipped with a cage, Fig. 2 is a radial section and Fig. 3 is a partial development of the cage. The one-piece cage 1 is made from a pipe section by flanging the ends 2 outwards for outboard bearings and inwards for inboard bearings. In the latter case, a drawn bowl can also be assumed, the bottom of the bowl then being expediently punched out in such a way that one end 2 g @ r is thereby formed and only the other end has to be beaded.
The beaded ends 2 are covered on the guide surfaces 3 by means of which the cage is guided on the edges of the outer raceway ring (,, and the cage pockets 4 are punched. The cage pockets 4 have only short guide lugs 5 in the axial direction , the free gap 6 between roller 7 and cage 1 serves as a lubricant passage. The cage rod 8 has lugs 9 which are caulked in a known manner and prevent the rollers 7 from falling out of the cage or bearing interrupted, through which a tool for removing the rollers 7 from the cage or
Storage can be brought in. The openings 10 also serve to lubricate the cage guide surfaces 3. The flanged ends 9 also serve to stiffen the cage in addition to guiding the cage.
