Fig. 7 zeigt eine als Freiluftendverschluss ausgebildete Kabelarmatur.
Cable armature If the earthed metal sheath, for example made of lead or copper tape, suddenly stops at one end of the cable, the field strength along the surface is greatly increased. This can be seen from Fig. 1, in which the cable has a conductor 1, the dielectric 2 and the metal jacket 3. As can be seen from the field lines entered, a field strength E is present on the surface of the dielectric, which has a tangential component Et.
As a result of the concentration of the field lines at the end of the jacket 3 and as a result of the refraction of the field lines at the transition from the air to the dielectric, the voltage runs along the path X on the surface of the dielectric from the end of the metal jacket 3 to the free cable conductor 1 over the length 1 not linear, but as shown by curve A shown in solid lines in FIG. 2. The tangential field strength Et along the surface
EMI0001.0011
is particularly large at the point x = 0.
If the tangential field strength Et reaches the breakdown voltage of the air, then Cconductive discharges occur, which initiate the flashover in the tangential direction.
3 shows how this inconvenience can be remedied in a cable in which the dielectric 2 surrounding the conductor 1 is made of paper. A winding lobe 4 made of impregnated cable paper is applied over this dielectric 2, and the metal jacket 3 is applied widened in a funnel shape at 5 and forms a soil covering 5 above the winding lobe 4. As can be seen from the field lines entered in this figure, a reduction in the tangential tension can be achieved in this way.
The course of tension along the cable surface is, as curve B in Fig. 2 shows, significantly more favorable.
Fig. 4 shows a similar solution for a cable in which the dielectric 2 consists of plastic. Here, a Blechtrich ter 6 is placed on the cable and its cylindrical part with the metal jacket 3 or the underlying semiconductor lining 7 is conductively connected. The space between the cable dielectric 2 and the sheet metal funnel 6 is through a plastic 8, for. B. a synthetic resin filled. Even with this arrangement, the tangential component of the field strength is reduced.
Another way of reducing the tangential stress between the end of the metal shell and the. Cable conductors consist of providing the cable dielectric with a semiconducting coating. The voltage profile is then as shown by curve C in FIG. 2.
With the arrangements according to FIGS. 3 and 4, the tangential component of the field strength, but not its radial component, can be reduced at the narrowest point of the winding lobe 4 or the lobe 8 made of plastic. If, for example, air has been trapped in the Mon days at the point 9 in FIG. 3, an amal greater field strength occurs in this cavity than in the cable dielectric. Under certain circumstances, the field strength in this cavity can be significantly greater than on the conductor surface. The trapped air ionizes and the insulation is destroyed over time. A breakdown then occurs at this point.
In the arrangement according to FIG. 4, a cavity formation is also possible in that when the plastic is poured, the plastic lobe can billow at its narrowest point, as indicated at 10 in FIG. Furthermore, since the sheet metal funnel 6, the plastic 8 and the plastic 2 have different coefficients of thermal expansion, thermal stress cracks can occur. In turn, ionization or breakdown can occur in these cavities or cracks.
This disadvantage is to be eliminated by the Kabelarma ture with a lobe consisting of dielectric with an external grounded coating according to the invention in that an at least semi-conductive layer is present between the cable dielectric and the earth coating of the lobe, which extends from the earth coating of the cable and extends into the area of the dielectric of the lobe, so that the radial component of the field strength at no point in the dielectric of the lobe can become so large that a glow can occur in enclosed cavities.
In Figs. 5 to 7 of the accompanying drawing voltage, exemplary embodiments of the invention are shown.
In FIG. 5, 11 denotes the winding lobe applied over the cable dielectric 2 and 12 the funnel-shaped extension of the metal jacket 3, which forms the earth covering of the winding lobe 11. Above the cable dielectrics 2 is a conductive or semiconducting coating 13, which with the. Metal jacket 3 is connected and extends to point 14. This covering 13 reduces the field strength between the cable dielectric and the earth covering 12 of the lobe 11 at the narrowest point of the latter. As can be seen, the covering 13 prevents electric field lines from entering the area. penetrate the winding club, in which the air bubbles 15 be found.
The air bubble 16 located outside this area will not glow because of the small field strength present here.
The following substances can be used as the conductive or semiconductive coating 13: 1. Semiconductor paper.
2. Corona protective varnish or mixture of cellon varnish with silicon carbide.
3. Synthetic resin coating with dusted and subsequently hardened semiconductor powder. 4. Vaporized metal coating.
5. Metal coating applied by metal spraying.
6 shows a cable fitting designed as an interior end closure. The plastic jacket 17 of the cable is cut back to the point approx. Furthermore, the copper band 18 of the cable is unwound from the cable end to point b and the semiconductor paper 19 to point c and fixed there. 20 is the plastic dielectric of the cable. The plastic lobe 21 is fixed by means of a synthetic resin compound 22 on the cable, which synthetic resin compound is poured into the space between the lobe 21 and the cable dielectric 20 and cured out at room temperature.
The semiconductor paper 19 is protected against moisture here by the synthetic resin coating 22. The plastic lobe 21 has an earthed semiconductor coating 23 on the outside and 24 is a likewise earthed sheet metal funnel.
Instead of the synthetic resin compound 22, non-drying oils can also be used between the lobe 21 and the cable dielectric.
7 shows a cable fitting designed as an open-air termination. Here is between tween the cable dielectric 25 and the leg 26 made of plastic, a semiconducting tende layer 27 is available, which extends from. Earth covering of the cable from over part of the. Club 26 extends. Furthermore, there is a space not visible in the drawing between the cable dielectric 25 and lobe 26. This gap and the space between the dielectric 25 and the insulator 28 is formed by an elastic made of an oil-resin mixture, e.g.
B. a mixture of mineral oil, rosin and polyisobutylene, existing high-voltage mass 29 fills out through which at the large temperature fluctuations to which this Endversehluss is exposed, thermal stress cracks between the plastic lobe and the plastic dielectric of the cable are avoided, as this mass 29 is still elastic at the temperatures occurring.
The cable fitting described can be designed not only as an end closure, but also as a connecting or locking sleeve. It can also be used for ground and oil cables.
