Mechanism for automatic forward and backward adjustment of the injection time in an internal combustion engine depending on its speed. The subject of the invention is a # Lleeha nism for automatic forward and backward shifting of the injection time in an internal combustion engine depending on its speed, characterized in that it acts as a coupling between two coaxial rotary links is formed,
by means of which the drive is transmitted from the internal combustion engine to the fuel injection pump, mid that it has hydraulically operated means'. which, under the control of a spool valve that responds to changes in speed, cause one of the two rotary links to rotate relative to the other.
The accompanying drawing represents an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention. 1- shows the mechanism in elevation, partly in section.
FIG. 2 shows a cross section along the line II-II in FIGS. 1, for a certain operating state.
F1-. 3 is a cross-section similar to FIG. 2, but for a different operating state, and Fil-. 4 is a partial cross-section for a third operating condition.
In the exemplary embodiment shown, the adjustment mechanism is installed in the hub of a G # efriebetells 2, by means of which a drive force is transmitted from the motor, not shown, to the fuel injection pump, also not shown. The hub cap 1 is fastened to the gear member 2 by means of screw bolts 3 .
The mechanism acts as a coupling between this gear member 2 and a shaft 4 on which a coupling bracket 5 is firmly seated; this transmits the drive to a similar coupling flange, which is firmly seated on the shaft of the injection pump, in such a way that the last-mentioned shaft is connected to the shaft 4 for rotation. This runs in bearings 6 of the gear housing 7 and carries the gear member or gearwheel 2 in such a way that mutual rotation is possible.
A bore 8 is provided in a cast part 9 screwed onto the end wall of the hub cap 1 , the axis of which is to the common axis of the shaft, 4 and the hub cap is vertical. In this bore, two pistons 10, 11, which are located opposite one another, are displaceably arranged, on which levers 12 and 13, respectively, are in contact, which on in approaches 15 of the Cast part 9 seated bolts 14 are mounted.
These bolts are arranged symmetrically to each other with respect to the axis of the hub cap and parallel to this axis; the pivot plane of the lever is therefore perpendicular to this axis. The levers are two-armed. While. one arm rests on one of the pistons, the other arm has a Noeken profile 129 ' or 13' , with which it is attached to one of two blocks 16 rests. These are fastened by means of visual bolts 18 on the front of a surface 17 of the shaft 4 and housed in the hub cap.
As will be mentioned further below, the space located between pistons 10 and 11. is filled with oil .
The drive force is thus from the gear wheel 2 via the hub cap 1, the cast part 9 ' the pistons 10, 11, the lever 12, Transfer 13 and the blocks 16 to the shaft 4. By shifting the pistons towards one another or away from one another, the levers 12, 130 are pivoted about their bolts, with the result that the blocks are rotated about the axis of the shaft 4 in relation to the gear wheel 2 .
Since these blocks are attached to the shaft, this rotation causes a Drehverstel development of this shaft and consequently also the injection pump shaft opposite your drive gear 2, so that the phase position between this gear and the mentioned two shafts is changed, from which see Depending according to the meaning of this change, a pre- or post-shift of the injection time results.
The. The pistons are moved automatically by means of pressure oil, which, depending on whether the engine speed increases or decreases, enters the cylinder space between the pistons or escapes from it.
This pressure oil, for example taken from the Sehmier system of the engine, flows in and out through the piston 10 under the control of a control valve whose displaceable member 19 closes a part is arranged in an axial bore 20 of this piston, but on the other hand protrudes from it and is extended beyond the corresponding end of the cast part 9 and there is designed as a weight 21, which in the Operation is subject to the action of centrifugal forces.
The operating position of the screen depends on the respective speed of the motor, since these centrifugal forces are counteracted by the force of a cube-shaped spring 22, which is located in a hole 23 in the screen member and in a pretensioned state between the The bottom of this hole and an adjusting tube 224 is inserted,
which can be rotated for their adjustment in a iiii cylindrical part -the hub cap provided threaded hole. The adjustment of this screw, which can be carried out from the outside, changes the preload of the spring.
The pressurized oil comes from a pipe 215 through a can]. 26 in the housing 7 an annular groove 27 and a radial hole '28 in the shaft 4,
furthermore through a central channel of this shaft provided for this purpose and through a number of channels 29 of the gas part 9 into the cylinder space 8. The last - The mentioned channels 29 also extend through a peg-shaped projection 30 of the crus part 9 which looks into a corresponding bore 31 </ B > extends into the facing end part of) ATelle 4,
two-way guarantee of good centering of the casting. A locking ring 32 prevents pressure oil from being defiled by the feet. The channels 99 open into a circumferential groove 33 of the piston 10 , which is wide enough for the Ka channels 29 are not covered during the 'displacement of the piston which occurs during operation.
From the circumferential groove 23 door radial channels 34 to a circumferential groove 35 in the wall of the central bore of this piston, which also has a circumferential groove 36 is provided, which is for longitudinal channels 37 with the space between the pistons 10, 11 in connection.
The connection between the two grooves 35, 36 is controlled by the gate valve member 19 , the jacket surface of which has two circumferential grooves 38 <separated from one another by a collar 40 / B> and 39 .
The university groove, which lies on the side of the collar facing the working working space between the pistons 10, 11 , is located in every mutual position of the gate valve 19 </ B> and piston with the 35 and consequently with the groove, 33 in connection. The one on the other side of the covenant.
The groove forms a drainage groove and is connected to the interior of the hub cap 1 via length notches on the circumference of the sieve, from where the oil through openings 42 in the gear box can drain.
The mode of operation caused by the structure described above is the following: As the engine speed increases, the Sebieber 1.9 is moved outwards by the increasing centrifugal force.
The 'groove 38 then, as FIG. 2 shows, connects the two grooves 35, 36 with one another, so that di-oil through the channel 33, < / B> the openings 24 and these grooves 35, 36 as well as the channels 37 through into the bore space between the two pistons and can move these pistons away from each other.
As., S (-hon explained, this causes a rotation of the shaft 4 and the injection pump shaft, the shaft with respect to the drive tooth, via the levers 12, 13 and the blocks 16 wheel 2 is rotated, in the sense of a forward shift of the injection timing.
The drelishin of the drive gear is in the fi. 2 and ni by indicating the arrow R.
This forward movement continues until the number of Dreli increases more. If this is the case, the outward movement of the boar stops, which has the consequence that it is overtaken by the piston 10 , which then korlinit (F! - 3), in which its groove 36 , which is connected to the working space between the pistons via the channels 37, is covered by the collar 40 of the sieve.
The Meellanisinuis is then in a (-, 'roughly-weighted state, which will last as long as the speed remains unchanged. If the speed increases again, the above-described process is repeated with the injection time being further advanced.
If the engine speed decreases, this results in a reduction in the centrifugal force acting on the gate valve. The latter is then subject to the force of the spring 22, which therefore moves the gate valve inward, thus the area marked with 36 and thus the working space between the pistons with the drainage groove B> 39 comes into contact, as shown in FIG.
Due to the oil drain, there is a drop in pressure in the work room. As a result of the load of the injection pump acting on the shaft 4, the blocks 16 and the levers 12, 13 on the pistons, these are moved against one another and thus effect As a result of the 7, iirüekverdreliting of the injection pump shaft with respect to the drive gear, the injection time is shifted back.
This continues as long as the engine speed is assumed, but afterwards the equilibrium state occurs again.
The adjustment characteristics depend on the preload of the spring 22, which preload, as mentioned, can be changed by means of the adjusting screw, and also on the shape of the cam profiles 12 ', 13' of the ilebel 12 or . 13.
The fluctuations in the torque that can occur in the drive of the pump are absorbed by the very helical springs 43 that are inserted between the blocks 16 and cheeks 44 of the cast part 9 are. The blocks are thus between the lever 12 or 13 and the springs; the latter surround a bolt 45 fastened to one of the cheeks 44; this bolt 45 has the task of working with the blocks to limit the advance of the injection timing.
The maximum amount of displacement is reached when the pistons 10, 11 abut one another.
The mechanism could also be constructed in such a way that it now has a single piston corresponding to the piston 10, only the one associated lever 13 and block; Instead of the other piston, a cover or the like that closes the corresponding end of the drill string would then have to be used.
