Rad

wheel
The invention relates to a wheel in which at least the hub consists of synthetic resin molding which surrounds a metallic insert.
In a known wheel of this type, the metallic insert is provided with annular grooves and longitudinal grooves into which the plastic should penetrate during the pressing process and thereby establish a frictional connection between the two wheel parts. However, this type of execution is not very satisfactory because the plastic sometimes only insufficiently fills the grooves provided for it when it is pressed. The consequence of this is that if the wheel is subjected to heavy loads, for example against rotation, the plastic part of the hub is protected from the metal insert, or at least a precise radial runout of the wheel cannot be achieved.
According to the invention, this disadvantage is remedied by the fact that the metal insert used is a ring that is lifted onto the shaft of the wheel and has a rectangular cross-section and at least one point has a transverse bore provided with a T thread to accommodate at least one screw to secure the wheel on the shaft, the at least one piece protrudes appropriately into an extension of the transverse bore that extends through the synthetic resin press material hub. Such a wheel has a very high concentricity, since the plastic part of the hub can no longer move in relation to the insert ring and the bath does not warp even when it is attached to its shaft, because see the thread for the fastening screw in the metal ring.
In the drawing, as an embodiment of the subject matter of the invention, a gear wheel seated on a shaft is shown in cross section.
The gearwheel designed as a Seheibenrad has a hub part 1, which, like the Seheibeteil 2 and a rim part 4 provided with teeth 3 on its circumference, is made of molded resin. In the hub part are. added textile chips to the synthetic resin molding. The disk part and the rim part are made up of vertically wound fabric strips impregnated with synthetic resin, which are pressed together with the hub part under heat and pressure in a mold.
The hub part 1 contains a metal insert ring 5 which is rectangular in cross section and which is enclosed on its outer circumference and on its two end faces by the synthetic resin molding. The cylindrical third inner diameter of the metal ring ó corresponds to the diameter of the shaft 6 on which the gear is to be attached.
A bore 7 crossing the hub 1 and the metal ring obliquely is stepped. The section of the bore located outside in the hub has a larger diameter than the inner section, which runs through the metal ring and an adjoining short section in the hub and is provided with an internal thread for receiving two screws 8 and 9. The inner screw 8 is a pin socket, the inner end of which is intended to bring about the firm connection of the metal ring 5 to the shaft 6 and to secure it. The outer end of the screw 8 is recessed in the threaded hole in the metal ring 5.
The second screw 9 is screwed into the section of the threaded hole left free by the screw 8 and presses with its inner end on the outer end of the screw 8, so that both visual screws secure each other against loosening. The outer end of the screw 9 fits snugly in the section of the transverse bore 7 running in the synthetic resin hub.
This ensures that this screw can participate in the torque transmission.
Instead of using two screws axially zueinan for each transverse hole, as in the example shown, one could get by with a single screw whose ISchafl; should be so small that, when screwed in, it still protrudes sufficiently far into the part of the transverse bore that runs in the synthetic resin molded hub.
