Description

Date indicator mechanism for calendar watch The object of the present invention is a date indicator mechanism for my calendar, comprising an intermediate wheel performing two revolutions per day and all of the teeth of which are truncated except one, the latter. acting on a toothed crown with twenty teeth bearing the digits of the date units, each repeated twice in succession, this crown comprising means which, when passing from the second zero to the first one of the units, drives a star by one step bearing the digits of the tens of the dates.

The single figure of the drawing represents an embodiment of the object of the invention given by way of example.

At the center of the mechanism shown is the cannon wheel 1 making two revolutions per day and driving an intermediate wheel 2 with the same number of teeth, which therefore also completes two revolutions per day.

All the teeth 3 of this wheel are cut off, with the exception of one tooth 4, which is therefore longer than the others.

Twice a day this tooth acts on a tooth of a crown 5 having twenty teeth 6 and bearing the digits of the date units, that is to say from zero to nine, all repeated twice in succession, as seen in 7. Thus , any date unit digit, appearing at midnight in the window re presented by frame 8 in phantom lines, will be replaced at noon on the second revolution of wheel 2 by a second identical number, which will not appear until following midnight, to make room for the number which follows it.

A jumper 9, pivoted at 10, fixes the positions of the toothed ring 5.

Inside this crown is a four-pointed star 11, bearing the digits of the tens of dates, or from zero to three. Between the last number nine carried by the crown 5 and the first zero not shown in the drawing due to a partial tearing of the part of the crown bearing the said numbers, there is an additional tooth 12, acting on the star 11 to each of its passages to change the tens number.

A spring 13 serves both to press the jumper 9 against the crown and to immobilize the star between two changes of tens of dates. It is therefore common to these two members and held in place simply by two pins 14 of the jumper, between which it passes.

This mechanism has the advantage of allowing the construction of a very flat caliber with a very large aperture. It is advantageous to add to it a corrective organ acting on the crown of the units, as well as on the star of the tens, to be able to pass from the twenty-eighth, twenty-ninth, thirtieth, respectively the thirty-first day of an end of month on the first day of the following month.
