Machine for milling, pulverizing and mixing materials ' The present invention relates to a machine intended for grinding, for pulverization and mixing of materials, comprising a fixed disc and a rotating disc as well as a central feed hopper, mounted in a housing at the upper part of which emerge a supply pipe discharging the material to to be treated in the hopper and an ascending discharge pipe for the treated material.
This machine is characterized by fan blades, attached to the rotating disc, intended to produce an upward air current entraining the ground material escaping between said discs to through an annular space between the machine housing and an inner shell surrounding the hopper to the top of the machine housing where it is deflected, so that larger particles of material fall back into the hopper while the finest material particles, which remain suspended in the air, are entrained in said upward discharge pipe.
This machine can be used in particular for the production of fine powders practically de- barred from larger particles which could y be mixed.
The appended drawing represents, by by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention. Fig. 1 is an elevation view. Fig. 2 is a partial sectional elevation view thereof. The machine shown in drawing com takes a horizontal disc 1 which is driven in a rotation at high speed by the shaft 2.
The disc 1 has pins 3 which do not feel between similar pins arranged on the stationary disc 5, mounted around the opening of 'discharge from the hopper 6 towards which the material to is led through through a pipe 7. Blades 8 fans are attached to the 1 disc and cause an air stream so that the ground material escaping between the discs 1 and 5 is driven upward through through an annular space 9 located between the carter 10 < / B> of the machine and an inner shell 11 which contains the hopper 6.
The airborne powder is dragged upward through an inverted U-shaped duct 12 located at the top of there ma chine around an exhaust pipe 13 where it is projected downwards, so that the larger particles fall into the hopper 6 and are returned to the mill,
while the fine material rises in the discharge pipe 13. The pipe 13 leads the material by means of a fan 14 driven by a motor 15 in a to wind separator 16. The fine powder escapes at the base of the separator 16 </ B> by a rotary valve 17 entrained by a motor 18. Part of the air passes through filter bags or similar devices attached to the front exhaust openings 24 to be released into the atmosphere.
Another part of the air which may be charged with dust is discharged through a central pipe 19 at the top of the to wind 16 separator and is conducted in a compartment 20 provided under the disk 1 -and communicating to through the openings 21 with the space in which the disk 1 rotates. Atmospheric air is also introduced into the pipe 19 before its opening into the chamber 20, this air intake being regulated by an adjustable valve 22 ; the mill is driven by a 23. engine
The machine allows very good separation of the fine powder, produced during the grinding operation, from the larger particles which can y be mixed.
