Imaging system with telecentric beam path, in particular for a measuring microscope The invention relates to an imaging system with telecentric beam path, in particular for a measuring microscope, in which lenses of different focal lengths that can be switched in and out of the beam path are provided for the purpose of changing the magnification.
If such systems are required for structural reasons that the spatial distance between the object and image planes should be constant, an objective can always be found with which the desired magnification can be achieved, but the disadvantage arises that the exit pupil of the objective as an image of an aperture stop arranged in the focal point of the objective assumes a different distance from the image plane for each magnification.
This is particularly undesirable if another image is to be projected as a comparison image onto the image projected into the image plane, as is the case, for example, with measuring microscopes, because then it must be required that the two optical systems delivering the projection of the images have appropriate exit pupils. Both conditions, that the distance between the object plane and the image plane and also the distance between the exit pupil and the image plane should be constant, have not yet been met.
The inven tion now eliminates this disadvantage in that the object plane, the image plane and the exit pupil of the lens are arranged at a constant distance from each other in the system and the optical distance of the object plane from the image plane required for the respective magnification is the spatial distance of these planes is adapted by kinking the optical beam path by means of reflective surfaces. At least two reflective surfaces are provided for the kinking of the beam path.
The optical axis before the kink can be offset parallel to the optical axis after the kink. However, the parallel offset is advantageous for all enlargement settings so that there is no lateral offset of the image when the object is fixed.
The reflective surfaces required for the bending are expediently designed to be switched into the beam path together with the associated lens, for example by being accommodated in a rotatable drum so that the matching mirrors are combined with the lens providing the desired magnification rotated in the beam path who can.
The drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of the imaging system according to the invention in various magnification settings. In FIG. 1, an objective 3 and two mirrors 4 and 5 are arranged between an object plane 1 and an image plane 2. In the focal point of the lens 3, an aperture 6 is provided. If you look into the lens 3 from the image plane 2, you see a virtual image 7 from the diaphragm 6. The image 7 is the exit pupil of the lens 3.
From the stand a of the exit pupil 7 from the image plane 2 and the distance b of the object plane 1 from the image plane 2 are firmly assumed, as is the distance c of the optical axes before and after the knuckle. The system is arranged as follows: the focal length of the lens 3 is determined by the distance a of the exit pupil 7 from the image plane 2 and the magnification factor given.
This also determines the optical distance between the image plane 2 and the object plane I. The difference between the optical distance and the spatial distance between these two planes is compensated for by the bending of the beams at the mirrors 4 and 5.
If a change in magnification is to be brought about, the objective 3 and the mirrors 4 and 5 of FIG. 1, as shown in FIG. 2, are replaced by a two-part objective 8, 8 'or by mirrors 9, 10, 11 and 12 replaced. The focal length of the lens is chosen so that the exit pupil 7 again stood from a. occupies from the image plane 2, and the distance between the planes 1 and 2 required for the enlargement is adapted to the spatial Ab was b by kinking the beam path on the mirrors 9, 10, 11 and 12.
The mirrors are arranged in such a way that the parallel offset c of the optical axes has the same size as in the example according to FIG. Fig. 3 shows. Another example in which the objectives and the mirrors of Fig. 1 or 2 are replaced by a two-part objective 13, 13 'or mirror 14, 15, 16 and 17. To compensate for the optical and spatial distance between planes 1 and 2, the beam path through the mirrors 14, 15, 16 and 17 is bent here.
