Dispositif <B>pour</B> immobiliser <B>un volet d'une</B> fenêtre La présente invention a pour objet un dis positif pour immobiliser un volet d'une fenêtre, caractérisé par le fait qu'il comprend un bras présentant deux éléments articulés l'un au bout de l'autre, un de ces éléments pivotant sur un axe fixé sur l'encadrement de la fenêtre, l'au tre étant pourvu d'un tenon destiné à se dépla cer dans une gorge longitudinale d'une ferrure fixée sur le volet et à venir en engagement dans un des trous percés dans celle-ci, le tout étant agencé de façon que le volet soit susceptible d'être immobilisé dans la position complète ment ouverte, dans la position fermée ainsi que dans des positions intermédiaires.
Le dessin annexé représente, à titre d'exemple, une forme d'exécution du dispositif objet de l'invention.

Le dispositif représenté comprend un bras 1 constitué à l'aide de deux éléments 2 et 3. assemblés au moyen d'une articulation 4. L'élément 2 est monté rotativement sur un axe 5 porté par une armature 6 fixée au moyen de vis 7 sur le cadre 8 d'une fenêtre ; l'élément 3 est pourvu d'un tenon 9 destiné à se déplacer dans une gorge longitudinale 10 d'une ferrure 11 et à venir en engagement dans des trous 12 percés dans cette dernière, qui est montée au moyen de vis 13 sur un volet 14. Celui-ci pré sente deux éparts 15 montés rotativement sur deux gonds 16 fixés sur la face extérieure d'un mur 17 dans lequel est ménagé le cadre 8.
L'élément 3 comprend une poignée de ma- naeuvre 18.
La paroi latérale 19 de la gorge 10 pré sente deux parties 20 et 21, de hauteurs diffé rentes, la partie basse 20 servant d'appui à l'élément 3 lorsque le bras 1 est déplacé ma nuellement pour faire passer le tenon 9 d'un orifice 12 à un autre, c'est-à-dire lorsqu'il s'agit d'ouvrir plus ou moins le volet 14 ; la partie haute 21 sert à retenir l'élément 3 dans la gorge 10 lorsque le volet 14 est complètement ouvert<B>;</B> le fond de la gorge 10 porte un butoir 22 destiné à servir d'arrêt au tenon 9.
Le dispositif représenté est utilisé comme suit Lorsqu'il s'agit d'immobiliser le volet 14 dans des positions comprises entre celle où il est approximativement perpendiculaire au mur 17 et celle où il est fermé, le tenon 9 est dé placé d'un orifice 12 à un autre, le bras 1 étant maintenu manuellement rectiligne et étant dé placé à l'aide de la poignée 18 ; lorsqu'il s'agit d'amener et d'immobiliser le volet 14 dans la position complètement ouverte, c'est-à-dire dans la position où il est approximativement parallèle au mur 17, fig. 3, l'élément 3 du bras 1 est actionné manuellement au moyen de la poignée 18 de façon que le tenon 9 se déplace dans la gorge 10 et vienne en contact avec le butoir 22 ;
simultanément, l'élément 3 pivote sur l'élément 2 de manière à venir approxima tivement perpendiculaire à celui-ci, puis il est engagé dans la gorge 10.
Le dispositif représenté permet de suppri mer sur la face extérieure du mur 17 un butoir d'arrêt et un crochet dans lequel vient habituel lement en prise un loqueteau porté par un volet.

The device shown comprises an arm 1 formed using two elements 2 and 3. assembled by means of an articulation 4. Element 2 is rotatably mounted on an axis 5 carried by a frame 6 fixed by means of screws 7 on the frame 8 of a window; element 3 is provided with a tenon 9 intended to move in a longitudinal groove 10 of a fitting 11 and to come into engagement in holes 12 drilled in the latter, which is mounted by means of screws 13 on a shutter 14. This has two parts 15 rotatably mounted on two hinges 16 fixed to the exterior face of a wall 17 in which the frame 8 is provided.
Element 3 comprises an operating handle 18.
The side wall 19 of the groove 10 has two parts 20 and 21, of different heights, the lower part 20 serving as a support for the element 3 when the arm 1 is moved manually to pass the tenon 9 of one orifice 12 to another, that is to say when it comes to opening more or less the shutter 14; the upper part 21 serves to retain the element 3 in the groove 10 when the shutter 14 is completely open <B>; </B> the bottom of the groove 10 carries a stop 22 intended to act as a stop for the tenon 9.
The device shown is used as follows When it comes to immobilizing the shutter 14 in positions between that where it is approximately perpendicular to the wall 17 and that where it is closed, the tenon 9 is displaced by an orifice 12 to another, the arm 1 being held manually rectilinear and being released using the handle 18; when it comes to bringing and immobilizing the shutter 14 in the fully open position, that is to say in the position where it is approximately parallel to the wall 17, fig. 3, the element 3 of the arm 1 is actuated manually by means of the handle 18 so that the tenon 9 moves in the groove 10 and comes into contact with the stopper 22;
simultaneously, element 3 pivots on element 2 so as to come approximately perpendicular thereto, then it is engaged in groove 10.
The device shown makes it possible to remove on the outer face of the wall 17 a stopper and a hook in which usually engages a latch carried by a shutter.
