Transport device intended to be connected to the rear of a motor vehicle The present invention relates to a transport device intended to be connected to the rear of a motor vehicle.
This apparatus is characterized by a cheva let whose ridge piece is a transverse tube near the ends of which are fixed two horizontal support members having a substantially longitudinal direction and capable of receiving a load, this easel being provided with a device for its temporary attachment to the rear of the vehicle. The appended drawing represents, by way of example, three embodiments of the object of the invention. Fig. 1 is a perspective view, and FIG. 2, a schematic side elevation of the first embodiment.
Fig. 3 shows the second embodiment in side elevation.
Figs. 4 to 7 relate to the third embodiment, FIG. 4 being a side elevation, FIG. 5 a plan view, FIG. 6 an elevation of a detail in a transverse vertical plane, and FIG. 7 a partial section following line VII-VII of FIG. 6. Figs. 8 and 9 are two elevational views in perpendicular planes of a bottom cylinder that each of said embodiments of the apparatus comprises.
Figs. 10 and 11 schematically show the jack in two different positions.
In the first embodiment shown, the transport apparatus essentially comprises an easel formed of two front oblique legs 1 and 2 and two rear oblique legs 3 and 4, these four legs being fixed at the top to the ends of a transverse tube 5 forming the ridge piece of the easel. This transverse tube carries, near its ends, two longitudinal and horizontal support pieces 6-7 with perforations 8 for fixing shims 9-10 serving to keep in balance a tank see 12 which rests on the support pieces 6-7 .
The lower ends of the tubular feet 1-2-3-4 are connected by a frame comprising a front cross member 13, two longitudinal pieces 14 and 15, and a base rear cross member 16. A longitudinal median support bar 17 is attached. perpendicular to the ridge tube 5. At its front end, this bar 17 carries a hooking device 18 intended to be engaged between two arms of a support band 20 adjoining the frame of a tractor T.
At their lower end, the front legs 1, 2 of the easel carry cleats 21, 22 intended to penetrate into holes of a lower arm of the support member 20. The whole of the hooking device 18 and the cleats 21, 22 together with the corresponding elements of the support member 20 constitute a three-point suspension.
The base rear cross member 16 is provided with a support plate 23 to which is fixed a pump 24 connected to the reservoir 12. The rotor of this pump 24 is controlled from the tractor engine by means of a connecting shaft. 25.
In the second embodiment (fig. 3), the easel is semi-carried because its front legs 1, 2 are supported on the lower arm of the support member 20 of the tractor by means of a device of. detachable hooking 26, tan say that the rear legs of the easel converge in a crutch 27 provided at its lower end with a vertical bearing 28 in which pi votes a yoke 29 by which the easel rests on the ground by means of a load wheel 30.
The stand 27 carries a pump 24 supplied with liquid by a reservoir 12 fixed to the horizontal support members 6 and 7 as in the first embodiment. The easel visible in fig. 3 does not have a middle bar such as 17.
The transport device according to the third embodiment is based entirely on two large side wheels 31, 32, with variable spacing. These wheels could have a fixed spacing. The front legs 33, 34 of the che valet are connected by a front cross member 35 supporting a liquid pump 36 connected to a reservoir 12 similar to that of the previous embodiments. The front base cross member 35 is integral with a longitudinal traction bar 37 forming a drawbar coupled between two arms of the support member 20 reaching the tractor frame.
The transverse ridge tube 5 carries towards each end four bearings 38-39-38'-39 'arranged along the vertices of a rectangle and fixed to this tube by means of transverse plates 40 and 41. Two connecting rods in the form of a rectangle. V, 42-43, are articulated, on the one hand, in these four bearings 38-39-38'-39 ', on the other hand, in two lower bearings 44-45 fixed on an axle 46 of one of the side wheels 32 of the transport device.
The set of two connecting rods 42-43 of the adjacent section of tube 5 and of axle 46 operates on the principle of a deformable parallelogram. A nut 48 is fixed between the branches of the connecting rod 43 and in this nut is engaged a threaded rod 49 guided without the possibility of axial sliding in a bearing 50 which carries a pendant 51 fixed to the ridge tube 5. The threaded rod 49 has a prismatic end 52, of square section, on which a key (not shown) can be engaged, which passes between the spokes of the wheel 47.
By turning the threaded rod 49, the angular position of the connecting rods 42-43 is changed relative to the ridge tube 5, which varies the spacing of the wheel 32 from the vertical plane of symmetry of the bridge. By means of a threaded rod similar to the part 49, but adjacent to the wheel 31, it is possible to modify the longitudinal spacing thereof with respect to said plane of symmetry. It has not been shown in FIGS. 6 and 7, that the device for varying the spacing of the wheel 32, that assigned to the wheel 31 being identical.
In order to keep the device in balance when it is detached from the tractor, the trestle is provided with at least two tilting screw jacks designated by the reference sign V in figs. 2, 3, and Vj, V2 in fig. 4 and 5. In the first embodiment (fig. 2), the transverse ridge tube 5 carries a jack at each end but beyond the bulk of the tank 12. When the device is detached from the tractor , if its center of gravity is located outside the vertical plane containing the axes of the jacks, you can perfect your balance by placing a box C under the part which tends to tilt towards the ground.
In the case of fig. 3, the front legs of the easel each carry a jack V, so that the device, once detached from the tractor, rests on the two side jacks and on the load wheel 30.
In the device according to fig. 4, the drawbar 37 carries a front cylinder VI and the rear base cross member 16 carries a second cylinder V2. The device is thus supported at four points when it is detached from the tractor. The jack shown in detail in Figs. 8 and 9 comprises a tubular upright 60 with em base 61. The upper end of the upright 60 carries a vertical bearing 62 in which the lower end 63 with the collar of the screw 64 of the jack pivots. This screw 64 is engaged in a nut 65 forming the top of a tilting fork with unequal branches 66-67.
These branches are mounted on two aligned horizontal pivots 68-69 integral with a tube 70 slidably mounted on the tubular upright 60. A triangular plate 71, with two locating perforations 72-73, is fixed to the tube 70; these perforations must be placed alternately in front of a hole 74 made in the branch 67. The branch 67 carries a locking pawl 76 provided with a pin 77 passing through the hole 74 and entering one or the other. be perforations 72 or 73. The pawl 76 is returned to the service position (FIG. 9) by a spring 78 applied against a stop 79 solidly connected to the branch 67. The upper end of the screw 64 is provided with a crank 80.
The sliding tube 70 can be blocked on the tubular tube 60 by engaging a pin 82 in corresponding perforations 83 and 84 of the members 60 and 70.
Figs. 8, 9 and 10 show the jack in the use position to keep the transport device in balance.
When the device is to be hooked to the tractor frame, the crank 80 is turned in a direction such that the flanged end 63 of the screw 64 ceases to bear on the frame 60 and comes out of the bearing 62 while rising. . The pawl 76 is then released with the pin 77 from the perforation 73, then the assembly of the tube 70 and the tubular upright 60 of 900 is tilted around the pivots 68, 69; this assembly then takes the horizontal position visible in FIG. 11. Fork 66-67 remains vertical. As soon as this tilting is completed, the pin 77 of the pawl 76 engages in the perforation 72 of the triangular plate 71.
It is also necessary to secure together the sliding tube 70 and the upright 60 by means of the pin 82 retained by a chain 85.
