Die richtige, gegenseitige Lage des Schneidwerkzeuges -und des Anschlussstreifens ist dabei mittels zweier in den Enden des StLitzstreifens 1 angebrachtei# Passlödier 11 sichergestellt. Beidieser Stanzbearbeitungsind die an der Innenseite des Streifens liegenden Enden der Drahtsegmente zu mehr oder weni ger rechtwinkligen flachen Kontaktflächen10 mit sehr genauen gegenseitigen Abständen ge- etaltet;
Connection strips with several mutually insulated contact elements. The invention relates to a connection strip with several mutually insulated contact elements.
It is known to build up contact banks by stacking several connection strips, each of which contains a series of contact organs, which mostly protrude from the strip on both sides. The ends on one side of the strip are usually used to connect the multiple cables and the ends on the other side work together with a movable contact element.
The known connection strips for this purpose are mostly produced by clamping a number of contact organs between insulating strips. or, what is even more common, by casting or pressing around the contact elements in a template with an insulating plastic compound, which is then hardened. The so he received connection strips have the part after that you are due to the limited processing accuracy and working of the Loliermaterials, z.
B. as a result of the shrinkage when counting down, must be satisfied with larger tolerances. Not only must larger tolerances be allowed in the mutual distances between the contact organs of a strip, but there are also deviations in the mutual position of the D Contact rows of several connection strips joined together to form one contact, unavoidable. All this has the consequence,
that a contact bank for a self-tapping voter with a certain number of contacts per shift must have a certain 1-Vssnd # est size, because in every rest position of the voter brushes they must be in the right way with the bank contacts mwainmen work. The mutual distances between the contact organs can therefore not be chosen as small as would be desired due to the tolerances mentioned.
In the production of the known connection strips with flat contact organs, a series of contact organs obtained by punching a metal plate in mutually correct position is generally assumed, the ends of which are connected to a left part of the plate. After this row of contact organs has been received in the connecting strip, the plate parts connecting the ends of the contact organs are cut away.
This method has the disadvantage of a larger material loss. The aim of the invention is to create a connection strip with several mutually insulated contact organs, which can be manufactured with small tolerances and the contact organs can be manufactured with great success low material loss allowed.
As a result of these small tolerances, which simultaneously allow a number of connection strips to be stacked exactly one on top of the other to form a contact bank, a larger number of contact elements per row can be used for given dimensions or, given a given number of contacts, < B> each row the dimensions of the strip are reduced ...
This offers the advantage that with a voter with a contact bank made up of such strips, one can cover a larger contact7 per unit of time without the mass forces occurring when the brushes are accelerated and set. This is particularly important for direct dial telephony circuits, d. h. for telephone circuits without register.
According to the invention, the connection strip consists of a metallic support strip with several transverse grooves, in which metal wire protruding from the two sides of the strip, pieces by means of at least one in the longitudinal direction of the support strip and, under the successive pieces of wire, the flexible insulating body running over the length with less length Thick insulated and centrally attached,
wherein the wire pieces and the igolatory material body are connected to each other and to the support strip at the cross points by means of an insulating adhesive #.
Since the support strip is made of metal, or optionally anodized aluminum, this strip can be manufactured with very small tolerances. In addition, when several of these amehluss strips are stacked, electrical shielding between the coiling elements of the various strips is automatically achieved.
In order to be able to maintain a certain distance between the contact rows of the strips when stacking several connection strips according to the ErlindfLing, the insulating body is preferably held within the profile of the support strip that it looks in the longitudinal direction of the Streifense, rstreckende groove is inserted, the depth of which is less than that of the transverse grooves.
The distance between the contact rows of two support strips placed one on top of the other is then only limited by the thickness of the metal support strips.
The connection strip can be designed such that the parts of the contact organs protruding from the edge of the support strip have the usual flat shape. For this it is only necessary that the wire styles are rolled flat at one end or at both ends before or after being attached to the support strip.
Um a particularly high level of clenity. In the mutual spacing of the flat ends of the contact organs, the flattened ends of all contact organs present in the etching strip are preferably simultaneously punched to the desired size by means of a cutting tool.
With the help of fitting holes or other alignment means in or on the metal support strip, the support strip and the cutting tool can be attached in a mutually precisely determined position that can be reproduced for each support strip, so that not only the contact organs of a connection strip are mutually correct Take up one position, but the connection strips are also very even.
The alignment means can be used at the same time to ensure that the stacked strips are in the correct mutual position when several of these strips are stacked.
The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to an exemplary embodiment shown in the accompanying drawing.
Fig. 1 is a plan view of a semicircular connection strip, which is intended as a component for a contact bank of a self-connecting rotary selector.
FIG. 2 shows a cross section through this strip along the line II-II according to FIG. 1. FIG. 3 shows part of a longitudinal section along the line III-III according to FIG Fig. 1, and Fig. 4 show part of a longitudinal section along the line IV-IV according to Fig. 1
In the exemplary embodiment shown in the figures, a flat, semicircular support strip made of aluminum is provided. It is provided on the upper side with a plurality of transverse grooves 2 directed towards the center of the circle, in which contact elements protruding on both sides in the form of metal wire pieces 3 are attached.
For the reasons mentioned below, three separate groups of wire pieces A, B and C are shown in FIG. 1, although the support strip 1 in. Really is completely occupied with Dra, htstüeken, as they are shown in group C.
The pieces of wire 3 are insulated and, centrally, held in the transverse grooves 2 by means of two nylon cords 4, which can be seen in the longitudinal direction of the strip 1 in, small A:, # tand extend from its edge. The threads each run under a wire, stilek 3 , in order to then merge into the next transverse groove on the top of the strip 1 .
For the mutual fastening of the pieces of wire 3 and the nylon cords 4 on the support strip 1 , as can be seen from Fig. 4, a nylon cord # is attached to the crimping of a nylon cord with, , that is, in, a groove 2, an isolating of the adhesive 5 is attached .. Preferably, an adhesive like the ethoxylinhame is used; there are z. B. Ciba AG. in Basel (Switzerland) put those on the market under the protected name Arai # lidit.
This adhesive is hardened in a known manner after it has been attached, so that the wire pieces 3 and some of them. around these parts of the nylon cords 4 running around are extremely firmly attached to the support strip 1 .
The nylon cords run on the upper side of the support strip 1 in longitudinal grooves 6 which are less deep than the transverse grooves 2. As a result of their arrangement in the grooves 6 , the cords 4 do not protrude from the profile of the support strip, 1 . This is important because in this way, when several connection strips are stacked, the underside of one support strip rests directly on the upper side of the next, so that the distance between the row of wires in the connection strips is ultimately due to the very small tolerance zen achievable.
Strength of the metal support strips is conditioned. The nylon cords 4 go, after they have run through under all wire pieces 3 in the support strip, over these pieces of wire back to their starting point, with the receding part (4!) At a point of intersection with a Wire piece is attached by means of the insulating adhesive.
For the sake of clarity, only a section of the support strip 1 is shown in FIGS. 2 and 3, and pieces of wire 3 and the nylon cords 4 are omitted .
Contact organs 3 which are not official in the support strip 1 are shown in FIG. -1-. The illustrated contact organs are divided into three groups A, B and C , which show the contact organs 3 in different processing stages. As already noted, in the present embodiment, all of the contact organs attached to the support strip actually have the shape as indicated for group C.
The contact organs 3 of group A consist of straight pieces of steel wire which have the same cross section over their entire length.
The contact elements of group B consist of pieces of wire similar to those in group A, but with, each two flattened ends 7 and 8. < / B> The ends 7 and 8 can be flattened before the wire pieces are inserted into the support strip; It is easier to first attach pieces of wire similar to those of group A in the support strip and then to slide off the ends of these wire styles together in one operation.
The contact organs of group C have their final shape daclux # ell, that the flaky-rolled ends of pieces of wire (group B) fastened in the support strip (group B) with a specially produced for this purpose Cutting tool gauge to the right size. are punched.
The correct, mutual position of the cutting tool and the connecting strip is ensured by means of two # pass soldering devices 11 attached to the ends of the striped strip 1 . In this punching process, the ends of the wire segments lying on the inside of the strip are formed into more or less rectangular flat contact surfaces 10 with very precise mutual spacings;
a voter whose contact bank consists of such stripes is brushed over these contact surfaces. The flat ends 7 of the pieces of wire are given a shape as a result of the punching, as can be seen at 9 , which enables the attachment of connecting seams, e.g. B. by soldering at these ends.
For good contact. Between the contacts 10 and the longitudinally sweeping brush in the case of a selector containing several such connection strips, it may be desirable to cover the contact surfaces with a noble metal, e.g. B. Palladluin or silver to provide. For this purpose, that end of the wire "## t, ücke" which is punched into the shape desired for the contact surfaces after the khflat, can be made entirely or partially of precious metal, e.g.
B. in the white that a piece of noble metal wire to be attached in the transverse grooves 2 piece of wire made of base metal, z. B. Messsing, soldered or otherwise attached, or the betxeffenden ends of these Drahtstüake can nen beforehand with a noble metal jacket. we will see.
In the described example, the support strip 1 is semicircular so that the connection strip can serve as a component for a semicylindrical contact bank. The support strips can also be different, for. B. be linearly shaped and thus serve as a component for a linear contact bank.
The connection strip described can not only be used as a component. for a contact bank, but also for other purposes, e.g. B. as a distributor strip in telephone exchanges, as a support body for the assembly of electrical parts in devices and as a connector strip for the Erregerwicklun gene of an electromagnetic Relai2. In the case of relays, the contacts are often clamped between insulating spacers,
which are mounted on a connection strip attached to the yoke with contact organs for the exciter coils. As a result of differences in the strength of the connecting strip, the contact springs do not always take the correct position in relation to the parts that move them, - coupled with the armature, so that the contact leathers must be adjusted.
This disadvantage is eliminated when the described connection strip, which can be manufactured with great precision, is used.
