Mounting of a magnetic head in magnetic recording or playback devices The invention relates to a mounting of a magnetic head in magnetic recording or playback devices with the aid of a support arm.
The object of the invention is to create a simple, effective and easily adjustable holding tion for the magnetic head, which: correct angular position of the slot between the pole parts of the head with respect to the linear guided past the slot for the purpose of recording or reproduction magnetic recording media, e.g. B. a tape or a sound film, allows.
According to the invention, this object is achieved by a holder in which one end of the support arm is aligned and connected to a support and a surface provided on this so that the support arm partially rests against this surface and partially diverges from it at an acute angle , the angle being adjusted by adjusting means; is variable and thereby an angular adjustment of the magnetic head mounted on the free end of the carrier can be effected.
The setting is expediently made by one or more screws that penetrate openings in the support arm and are screwed into bores in the support. The angle between the support arm and the support surface can be influenced by the screws. In the drawing, a Ausführungsbei is game and a variant of the same shown.
Fig. 1 is a side view of a part of a sound film reproducing apparatus, partially in section, Fig. 2 is a plan view of an electro-magnetic head carried by the holder, Fig. 3 is a view of the electromagnetic. Head and the holder, Fig. 4 and 5 side views of the electromagnetic head and the holder showing the parts in different positions,
6 is a perspective view of the carrier for the electromagnetic head and FIG. 7 is a side view of the electromagnetic head and the holder according to a variant.
In FIG. 1, 1 is the base frame of a sound film playback device with the rotatable shaft 2. A conventional drum around which a sound playback film strip runs is indicated at 3 in dashed lines. She is. arranged at the exposed end of the shaft 2 and rotates with this. The sound film strip 4 shown in broken lines drives the drum 3 and is pulled around it at a constant speed.
The drum guides the film strip past a magnetic head that interacts with a sound track on the film strip. The device shown in FIG. 1 has a support disk 5 which is arranged on the housing so that it can pivot about the shaft 2.
Two electromagnetic heads 6 are attached close to one another on the support disk 5 at a certain distance around the pivot axis of the drum 3. They work in the inner area with the soundtrack part of the film strip 4 on the drum. The slot 7 between the pole parts of the heads is directed outwards from the axis of the drum.
The heads are resiliently attached so that, with light pressure, they press the slots between the pole parts outwards against the soundtrack part of the film strip of the drum (Fig. 1). One of the two heads is an erase head and the other is a recording and playback head, which work in a manner known per se.
The mounting of each electromagnetic head consists of a pin 8 which is attached to the support disk 5 parallel to the shaft 2 and whose distance from the drum axis is greater than the radius of the drum 3.
The pierced carrier block 9 is mounted pivotably on the pin and can be locked in the set position by the adjusting screw 11. The resilient support arm 12 is attached at one end to the Trä gerblock 9 and extends in a plane parallel to the drum axis. At your free end of the support arm, the electro-magnetic head is attached so that the slot 7 between the pole parts of the head presses against the sound track of the film strip.
This arrangement permits. an appropriate spring length and an adjustment of the spring arm 12 to allow the desired pressure of the electromagnetic heads against the film strip.
In FIGS. 2 to 6, the carrier 13 made of non-magnetic material is provided at one end with the mutually opposite recesses 14 into which the legs 15 of the core 16 of the electromagnetic head 6, which are spaced apart from one another, engage.
The end of the carrier 13 'is arranged between the coils 17 and the slot 7 of the pole parts of the head, so that the head is fixed on the carrier. The bracket 13 (Fig. 6) extends sideways from the head.
The other end 18 (Fig. 3) is opposite to the position of the slot 7 offset from the center line and extends transversely to it. The resulting larger flat surface 1.9 is perpendicular to the plane in which the core 16 lies and transversely to the legs of the core.
The free end part 21 (Fig. 4) of the resilient support arm 12 is in line with the support surface 19 and partially touches it. It is curved in the middle 22. Its outwardly directed surface 23 forms an acute angle with the flat support surface 19. At a certain distance from each other, the cap screws 24 are placed on opposite sides of the center 22 of the part 21 of the support arm end and the support end 18 is.
They penetrate the holes 25 in the support arm end part 21 and are screwed into the Ge threaded bores 26 in the support end part 18 to hold the support arm end part 21 and the support end 18 together and so to fasten the electromagnetic head 6 on the resilient support arm 12.
The screws 24 make it possible to change the angle between the upwardly directed surface 23 and the support surface 19 and thus. the setting of the electro-magnetic head 6 in the plane of the core 16 of the head, so that the slot 7 between the pole pieces in a correct angular relationship to the soundtrack part of the film strip 4 can be brought.
As Darge shows, this setting is achieved by deformation of the support arm end part 21 of the resilient support arm 12. The outer screw 24 (FIGS. 4 and 5) at the outer end of the support arm end part 21 attaches this outer end to the support surface 19.
The other or inner screw 24 serves as an adjusting screw and is screwed with its thread only as far into the support end 18 as is necessary to make the desired setting of the electro-magnetic head 6. 4 shows the inner screw 24 in an unscrewed adjustment position in which the support arm end part is only slightly deformed and the slot 7 is perpendicular between the pole parts of the head.
Fig. 5 shows the inner vision hood 24 in a screwed adjustment position, in which the Tragarmendteil is more deformed and the slot 7 between the pole parts is at an angle to the vertical. The tension of the Tragarmendteils 21 is used to rush the inner screw 24 in its set position.
To ensure that the head of the inner screw on the support arm end is gripped evenly. To ensure part 21, this end part is provided with a transverse bead 27 under the head of the inner screw. The convex surface touches the head of the screw.
Fig. 7 shows. Another embodiment of the invention in which the free end portion 28 of the resilient support arm 12 is normally flat. The holding surface 29 of the end 18 of the carrier 13 for the head forms an angle 31 to the surface 29 convex to gestal th. This convex surface 29 diverges from the normally flat surface 32 of the Tragarmendteils 28. The head screws 24, which are on opposite Sides of the center of the part 28 and the support end 18 and its surface 29 are attached, holes in the support arm end part 28 penetrate.
They are screwed into the support end 18, where they, in cooperation with the convex upper surface 29 and by deforming the support arm end part 29, serve the same purposes as in the embodiment of FIGS. 4 and 5.
