Der Übergang zu einem derartigen Be triebsverfahren bedeutet also, dass die den leistungserzeugenden Teil des Treibgaserzeu gers bildende Verpuffungsbrennkraftturbine ihre äussere Leistung im wesentlichen zum Betriebe der Hilfsmaschinen, insbesondere der Betriebsmittelverdichter, abgibt, wobei diese Verdichter aus Luftverdichtern und für den Fall, dass gasförmige Brennstoffe zur Verwendung gelangen, aus Gasverdichtern bestellen;
The present invention relates to a V erpuffungsbrennkraftturbinenanlage with counterpressure reduction behind a blading acted upon by fire gases and with deflagration chambers that have several controlled taps for the withdrawal of partial amounts of fire gas that are used for loading the blading and generating the counterpressures.
Because the pressures behind the blading are also reduced, the differential pressures that can be used in the blading, except for deviations that arise from the fact that the gases used to generate the counterpressure first have to fill the counterpressure chambers with a rapid temporary drop in pressure, can be largely evened out so that good wheel efficiencies arise.
The invention is based on the knowledge that the working method of such explosive combustion power turbines largely determines their structural design. If one follows the development in this regard, one finds that the original assumption was that turbine arrangements with a vertical turbine eighth, around which the deflagration chambers were arranged in a circle so that their necks, which were designed to be openable and closable by nozzle valves, the fire gases released onto the nozzles and blading above these necks.
Later, the single-stage expansion implemented in this type of turbine was switched to deflagration combustion turbines, in which the combustion gases were processed in at least two stages, the first stage being provided with Curtis blades throughout, while the second and the following stages were used Stages the outflow gases of the Curtis stage, after equalization of the pressures and temperatures, fed Parsons blading, in special cases also further Curtis blading.
In this case, the deflagration chambers were arranged with their longitudinal axes on an imaginary cylinder jacket, the generator of which runs parallel to the turbine axis, the deflagration chambers being upstream of the Curtis blading of the high pressure stage in the axial direction. So there were considerable construction lengths. of the turbines, so that the further development of the explosion turbines was guided by the desire to significantly reduce the overall length.
This was done by keeping the horizontally running turbines axially, but arranging the longitudinal axes of the deflagration chambers perpendicular to the axis of the turbine shaft and sunk the deflagration chambers themselves under the machine floor. The multi-stage development was retained for this further development Processing of the generated fire gases.
In the meantime, however, the working process has been changed in accordance with the introductory remarks by switching to deflagration internal combustion turbine units, which are practically only propellant gas generators or compressed gas generators. This creates the possibility, as consumers of the propellant gases produced, to choose turbines that do not show any fundamental deviations from the steam turbine design with the only difference that they contain the materials required to process the relatively high-temperature gases.
The transition to such an operating method means that the power-generating part of the propellant gas generator forming the deflagration combustion power turbine essentially delivers its external power to the operation of the auxiliary machines, in particular the operating fluid compressor, these compressors consisting of air compressors and in the event that gaseous fuels are used Get use, order from gas compressors;
In addition, the necessary auxiliary machines in the form of coolant circulation pumps, lubricant pumps, fuel injection pumps in the event of the use of liquid fuels, recharge air theaters and other auxiliary machines are to be driven. The fulfillment of the further task of increasing the efficiency of such deflagration combustion power turbines through high wheel efficiencies means that one does not. is more dependent on the utilization of the waste heat, i.e. the cooling and exhaust heat.
The use of this waste heat means that bulky, heavy and costly heat exchangers have to be implemented, which interfere with the turbine structure, which is basically simple and compact, especially when the propellant gases generated are used to drive propulsion. and planes to serve.
According to this, the gas inlet turbine system according to the invention is characterized by a counterpressure reduction behind blading exposed to fire gases and with deflagration chambers which have several controlled tapping points for the removal of partial quantities of fire gas which are used to pressurize the blading and to generate the counterpressures Deflagration chambers are arranged around a housing that encapsulates the nozzles and blisters so that, viewed transversely to the axial direction of the turbine shaft, they lie between the outermost housing ends, while, in a radial direction to the turbine shaft, the taps pass directly into the nozzles.
This results in an extraordinarily compact, clear and easy construction of the propellant gas generator set designed as a deflagration combustion turbine, so that it has become possible, for example, to accommodate an output of around 20,000 k \ V within one cubic meter of space. If you compare this space requirement with the space requirement of a Steam turbine and a boiler system of the same power, so it gives the considerable progress present the invention compared to the known, which is also retained if you include the space requirements of Dieselmasehinen or equal pressure turbines of the same power in the comparison.
The formation of such deflagration combustion power turbines means that the axial length of the propellant gas generator is not greater than the axial length of its main parts. There is also the extension of the system in underneath the machine floor lying low spaces, which occurred. If you arranged the longitudinal axes of the deflagration chambers perpendicular to the rotor axis. The space restriction of the system achieved in this way is of decisive importance for the possibility of using the thermal power system in numerous installation cases.
Such a case occurs, for example, when installing the engine in the wing of aircraft, when installing it in submarines, torpedo-shaped projectiles and in many other applications in which only limited space is available to accommodate the engine. Such a case is also given when installing the power plant in underground rooms, for example in mines, safety tunnels, and further when installing them in locomotives, railcars, speedboats, ships etc.
The drawing shows an embodiment of the invention using the example of a system that consists of a deflagration combustion turbine with four chambers as a propellant gas generator and a Parson turbine as a consumer of propellant gas.
Fig. 1 shows a side view of the propellant gas generator and the connected consumer in a schematic representation, with one of the deflagration chambers according to line I-I of FIG. 2 is shown in vertical longitudinal section.
Fig. 2 corresponds partially to vertical cross-sections through the propellant gas generator according to lines II-II, III-III and IV IV of FIG. 1, partially to a front view of the deflagration combustion turbine on the chamber inlet side.
Fig. 3 shows a top view of the propellant gas extraction nozzle of the propellant gas generator.
In the deflagration combustion turbine system shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 with a propellant gas generator consisting of deflagration chambers, nozzles and blading of a deflagration turbine and a consumer, also designed as a turbine, for the fire gases generated by the deflagration turbine are around the nozzles to be described in more detail and blading of the deflagration turbine arranges elongated deflagration chambers with their longitudinal axes parallel to the axis of the rotor carrying the rotating blades and a turbine housing encapsulating the nozzles and blades so that they,
See transversely to the turbine axis, between the outermost housing terminations, while, in a radial direction to the axis of the turbine shaft, the controlled taps of the deflagration chambers pass directly into the nozzles.
In detail, this is the turbine rotor 1 with the wheels 2 and 3 and the rotating the single-ring blades 4 and 5 receiving turbine housing with 6 denotes net. Four deflagration chambers a, b, c and d are arranged around this turbine housing 6 in such a way that their longitudinal axes run parallel to the axis 11 -11 of the turbine rotor 1 carrying the rotating blades 4, 5. The lengths of the housing 6 and the chambers a to d are dimensioned and the arrangement in relation to one another is made such that the chambers a to d lie between the outermost housing terminations These are given by the dome of the bearing housing on the left and by the end flange for the shaft seal on the right.
Each of the deflagration chambers is surrounded by a Kühlman tel 12 indicated schematically in FIG. 1; For reasons of simplicity of the drawing, the jacket 12 is not shown in FIG. The chambers a to d consist of one in a manner known per se. Inlet end 13 designed as a Venturi nozzle with a very slim diffuser 14. The charge air valve 15, which is under the influence of a control 16, is located in the head of the chamber.
An injection valve 17 is built into the charge air valve; Fuel supply lines, fuel pumps and ignition devices arranged in the deflagration chamber are not included as they are generally known. Each of the deflagration chambers a to d is tapped at three points. The draw-off points are labeled 18, 19 and 20.
Each tap point can be closed by a controlled valve, the valves 21-Lind 22 nozzle valves, while the valve 23 is an outlet valve for the remainder of the fire gas. As a result of the arrangement made according to the invention, it is possible to arrange the valves 21, 22 and 23 directly opposite the consumption points for the partial amounts of the total amount of fire gas generated per chamber and deflagration or for the remaining fire gas.
Thus, the nozzle valve 21 of the chamber a, which, in contrast to the nozzle valve 21 d of the chamber d which is visible in FIG. 1, has been designated by 21a, is immediately followed by the point of consumption in the form of the nozzle 24a. A corresponding, but only schematically indicated nozzle 24d has been shown in FIG. 1 following the nozzle valve 21d of the chamber d. With regard to chamber c, only the external controls 25c of the nozzle valves 21c and 22c and of the outlet valve 23c of this chamber c can be seen in FIG. These controls are designed hydraulically and for all valves in the same way; they are not further illustrated as known per se.
The individual nozzles 24, ie 24a, 24b, 24c and 24d, are all in front of the single-wreathed blading 4 of the wheel 2 of the rotor 1, so that, as can be seen in particular in FIG. 2 at the top left, between the nozzle valves and the nozzles extremely short fire gas transfer lines, called nozzle vestibules, are located.
Since the nozzle vestibules and nozzles are cooled and since extremely high speeds occur in these nozzle vestibules and nozzles, the high temperature and the high voltage of the fire gases flowing through these rooms to keep the heat transfer losses small is crucial that these rooms are in this way be as small as possible so that the heat transfer areas are correspondingly small.
Each the blading 4 of the wheel 2 be impacting nozzle 24 is a collecting nozzle 26 opposite, which, as Fig. 1 shows in dashed lines, merges into a filling chamber 27, which in turn expires in a nozzle 28 also shown in dashed lines, which is arranged upstream of the single-crowned blading 5 of the second wheel 3 of the rotor 1 as a nozzle. Lines (not shown) also open into the filling chamber 27 connected to the valves 22 by a transfer elbow 29 which opens into the filling chamber 27 at 30 at the valve seat.
The filling chamber 27 thus receives fire gases from two different sources; it initially takes on the collecting nozzle 26 on fire gases that have already done work in the nozzles 24 and in the blading 4; it continues to take in fresh fire gases via the valves 22 when they are opened via the manifold 29. It emits the fire gases received in this way via the common nozzle 28 to act on the blading 5 of the second turbine wheel 3. In addition to the nozzle valves 21 and 22, outlet valves 23 are provided for the residual flue gas, the formation of the outlet valve 23c being shown in detail at the bottom right in FIG.
As can be seen in FIG. 2, a line 31c connects to the seat of the outlet valve 23c, which, as FIG. 3 shows, has the cross section of a kidney-shaped annular sector 32e, in the vicinity of the connection cross section 33 of FIG Propellant gas extraction line 34 opens into this; it therefore changes from the tubular shape in the vicinity of 23c to a ring sector in the vicinity of 33. A corresponding line leads to the exhaust valve 23b of the deflagration chamber b. The line 34 also opens into the connection cross-section 33 of the propellant gas extraction line 34 in the form of a kidney-shaped ring sector 32b.
A third and fourth line 31, d and 31a lead to the corresponding outlet valves 23d and 23a of the deflagration chambers d and a and again have ring-sector-like outlet cross-sections 32, 1 and 32 ″ in the connection plane 33 of the propellant gas extraction line 34.
The cross-section of the propellant gas sampling line 34 connected to the propellant gas extraction nozzle, which is to be referred to collectively as the guide rings 32a, 32b, 32 ,,, 32d and 35, is dimensioned so that pressure fluctuations occurring in it resulting from the deflagration process used can equalize, so that the line 34 is effective as a pressure equalizer.
The four kidney-shaped ring sectors 32 enclose the already mentioned central Feuergasausla.ss 35, which is connected to the catch nozzle 36, which catches the fire gases that work in the nozzles 28 or in the blading 5 of the second turbine fade 3 of the deflagration turbine ge have performed, This deflagration turbine drives the auxiliary machines of the entire system, in particular the charge air compressor 37, whose drive shaft 38 is directly coupled to the shaft of the rotor 1. The propellant gas acquisition line 34 leads to the consumer 39 of the system, which is designed as a multi-stage Parsons turbine; it serves as the base of the charge air compressor 37.
A transverse housing 40 (Fig. 1) holds housing 6 and chambers a to d at the end of the housing 6 opposite to the consumer part 39 men together and forms its support.
Of course, between the connecting pieces 32, 32a, 32b, 32c, 32d, 35 and the propellant gas line 34, a special space used for pressure equalization can also be switched on. The mode of operation of the structural design of the system marked in this way is as follows: It is assumed that a complete work cycle has just been completed in chamber d. Accordingly, the chamber d is still filled with the residual fire gas. At the start of a new work cycle, the charge air valve 15d opens, under the influence of the controller 16d. At the same time, the outlet valve 23d of the same chamber d opens.
The charge air entering at 41 spreads in the venturi nozzle-like inlet 13 of the deflagration chamber d and especially in the diffuser 14, since its slim shape prevents the air flow from separating from the conductive walls, over the cross-section of the chamber and pushes the residual flue gas out of chamber d via the outlet valve 23d which is open at the same time under the influence of its control 25, d.
During the flue gas residual displacement and charging process, the piston of the associated fuel pump completes its delivery stroke and injects fuel into the charge air via the opening valve 17, so that when the valves 15d and 23d close, an ignitable charge enters the chamber d met. The residual fire gas itself reaches the kidney-shaped outlet sector 32d via the line piece 31d and from there into the propellant gas extraction line 34.
However, since the wheel arch of the blading 5 is also in open connection with the propellant gas extraction line 34 and thus with the kidney-shaped outlet sector 32d via the spaces 36 and 35, the residual flue gas pushed out under the influence of the charge air via the line section 31d has the effect of a Back pressure, which has the basic character of an expansion due to the transitions occurring from connection cross-section 33 before.
During this flue gas residual displacement process as the first section of a total work cycle to be carried out in chamber d, followed by the sections of ignition and deflagration and two sections of a gradual expansion, there were also valves 21 and 22 of two chambers that were not previously considered mern been opened while all the valves of a fourth chamber remained closed because in this ignition and Ver puffung unfolded. If one first goes into the chamber U, it is assumed that its nozzle valve 21a has been opened. It would also be conceivable that one of the nozzles would have opened valves 21b_d of chambers b-d.
Then either the second nozzle valve 22a or none of the valves at all would have been opened in the chamber a. The order is therefore irrelevant, it just depends on the fact that another valve was open in three of the four chambers. If one remains with the opening of the valve 21 ″ of the chamber a, this valve had released a part of the flue gas, the initial state of which was given by the occurrence of the highest deflagration pressure.
This means that at the time at which the charge air valve 15d and outlet valve 23d of the chamber d opened, the highest deflagration pressure had just occurred in chamber a. At this highest deflagration pressure, the partial amount of fire gas released via nozzle valve 21a flows to nozzle 24a at the time mentioned. As a result, the blades 4 of the wheel 2 of the rotor 1 are supplied with fire gas.
These fire gases, which have thus already given off part of their gradient to the blades 4, are then collected via the collecting nozzle 26 and fed to the filling chamber 27. However, this filling chamber had already received fire gases via the open nozzle valve 22b in chamber b. The nozzle valve 22b, please open at the time when the highest deflagration pressure had occurred in chamber a. At the same time, the valves 15d and 23d had opened in chamber d. Under the influence of the two fire gas inflows, the filling chamber 27 quickly fills up with fire gases.
The internal pressure that builds up so quickly in the chamber 27 exerts a reaction on the blading 4 of the wheel 2 via the collecting nozzle 26, which occurs in the form of a certain counterpressure curve. But since the Auffüllkammner 27 on the other hand with the blading 5 of the wheel 3 is in open connection via nozzle 28, the discharged into the filling chamber 27 are subject to an expansion at the same time, in other words, the voltage on the Radanord 2, 4 of the Auffüllkamnmer 2 7 from counter pressure exerted again has the fundamental character of an expansion.
Since this occurs as a result of the illustrated cyclical offset of the work cycle segments in the individual deflagration chambers at the same time as the loading pressures exerted via nozzle 24d, similar pressure profiles and thus enthalpy gradients occur in front of and behind the nozzle and blading system 24, 4 Radwir efficiency are processable.
The same effect occurs with respect to the nozzle and blading system 28.5. Namely, the single-crown blading 5 is initially subject to the loading pressures which are exerted from the filling chamber 27 via the nozzle 28. As a result of the residual fire gas discharged from chamber d, it is also subject to the counterpressure reduction explained above, which is brought into effect on the blading 5 via the openly communicating spaces or cross sections 31d, 32, d, 35 and 36.
What on the basis of the charging process of chamber d, on the basis of the first partial expansion of the partial amount of the total amount of fire gas generated in chamber a per deflagration, which is under the deflagration pressure as the initial voltage, and what for chamber b on the basis of the second partial expansion of the lower one The initial pressure partial amount of the total amount of fire gas generated per deflagration in chamber b, which was finally explained on the basis of chamber c which is simultaneously in the working cycle section of ignition and deflagration, i.e. which has completely closed valves, applies mutatis mutandis to the other working cycle sections of each of the four Chambers,
since in these the same processes only occur in cyclical exchange.
What has been done for four chambers can be implemented analogously for each number of chambers. The chambers do not need to be evenly distributed around the turbine housing in a circle, but other arrangements are also conceivable without departing from the basic arrangement prescribed by the invention.
In the exemplary embodiment, a propellant gas generator unit consisting of a Verpuffungsbrennkra.ftturbine and twist has been used to feed a consumer unit consisting of a Parson turbine. However, the invention is not restricted to this. In general, at least one propellant gas generator unit will be provided for feeding a consumer unit of the system, which drives the auxiliary machines of the system. However, several propellant generator units can also be provided, which operate in parallel.
arrangement for feeding a common consumer unit. These TreAgas generating units are then expediently designed in the same way so that, using the known modular principle, systems of any capacity can be created from units of the same type and therefore economical to manufacture. Conversely, several consumer units which absorb propellant gas and deliver power in the form of external work can be connected to a single propellant gas generator unit in the propellant gas path or to several of the same.
In all of these cases, it is useful to provide the only connection between propellant gas generator and propellant-driven Lei stungsturbinen lines that are not installed, that is, in which you did not, as was necessary in earlier systems of this type, arranged heat exchangers around the Propellant gases to extract the heat content in whole or in part and to transfer it to other work media such as steam, mercury or the like, in order to use the waste heat of the propellant gases in this way. So you get simple systems without the so-called heat economy, which has been the case until now. also part of the fact that the coolants of the deflagration combustion turbines were more or less withdrawn from the heat absorbed.
Even this utilization of the waste heat in the form of cooling heat caused very twisted arrangements, so that it corresponds to a substantial simplification if such systems can be manufactured and designed without all the facilities that were previously required to carry out such a heat management.
