Slide for zip fastener The invention relates to a slide for actuating a two profile strips made of elastic material have the zip fastener, one profile; bar has a pliers profile and the other a head profile and both are in the closed position in a mutually bracing grip.
The slide is formed from a jacket that is continuously slit in two halves on both sides in the longitudinal direction and has in the jacket interior a wedge-shaped web which connects the two jacket halves with one another, runs in the longitudinal direction to the jacket base and jacket top surface, and is characterized according to the invention by that this web, on its side intended for guiding the pincer profile strip, carries a rib running in the plane of the lateral slots, which serves to simultaneously expand and guide the pincer profile,
while on the specific side of the jacket to receive the head profile bar inside the slot center plane symmetrical guide parts for the head profile bar in the lead-in area of the head profile are provided in the pincer profile.
The slide according to the invention and its mode of operation are explained in more detail below with reference to the drawings in two Ausführungsbei play. 1 shows a perspective view of a slide, with part of the jacket cover surface broken away and guide ribs being provided for guiding the head profile strip, FIG. 2 a slide according to FIG. 1 with inserted pincer and head profile strip, approximately in horizontal section according to FIG Line from in Fig. 2d,
Fig. 2ct - 2g in sequence, sections along lines I-VII in Fig. 2 through the slide. about or
the profile strips to explain the mode of operation of the slide, Fig. 3 is a perspective view of a slide, with part of the jacket top surface broken away, with guide pins for guiding the head profile strip, Fig. 4 shows a slide according to FIGS. 1 and 2 with retracted profile strips in perspective tivischer view and FIG. 5 shows a slide according to FIG. 3 with retracted profile strips in a perspective view.
The slide according to FIGS. 1, 2 and 4 consists of a shell base and a shell top surface, which is held together by a wedge-shaped web 1 extending in the longitudinal direction of the slide who the. The two shell halves are separated from one another by continuous lateral slots 2 through which the lugs 17, 21 of the pincer profile strip 16 and the head profile strip 20 are guided. The web 1 is provided on its side intended for guiding the pliers profile with a rib 3 extending in the plane of the lateral slots 2, which serves to guide the pliers profile and to spread the two pliers jaws 18, 19.
On the side of the shell interior 5 formed by the two shell halves for receiving the head profile strip 20, symmetrical guide ribs 8, 9 are provided in the insertion area of the head profile into the pliers profile to the center plane of the slots 2, which with. their inner edges 11 serve to guide the head profile and their outer surfaces 12 cause the pincer jaws 18, 19 of the pincer profile strip 16, which are opened by the rib 3, to be kept open.
On the top surface of the slide casing, the stiffening rib 13 is provided, which with. a groove 14 for guiding the slide actuating tab 15 is equipped.
The mode of operation of this sifter is explained in more detail using FIGS. 2u-2g. 2a (section I) shows the slide profile at the point of introduction of the two profile strips 16 and 20. In section II according to FIG. 2b, the pincer jaws 18, 19 are opened by the rib 3. In cross-section III according to FIG. 2c, the pliers are opened so far that the head of the head profile strip 20 can be inserted into the pliers. It is introduced through the ribs 8, 9.
In cross section IV according to FIG. 2d, the head profile is already partially inserted into the tong profile.
The pliers tend due to their elasticity, that is, as a result of the effort of the jaws to return to the starting position, to close again, since at this point the distance from the opening be effective rib 3 has reached a certain level. In the cross-section V according to FIG. 2e, the tong jaws 18, 19 run onto the outer surfaces 12 of the ribs 8, 9 and are held open by them. Through the inner edges 7.1 of the ribs 8, 9, the head of the head profile is completely inserted into the pliers profile.
Outside the slide, the pliers closes in cross section VI according to FIG. 2f, the head of the head profile strip 20 rests on the pliers base due to the elastic deformation by the ribs 8, 9, and the two profiles are not yet in mutually interlocking engagement.
The rest position is reached in section VII according to FIG. 2g, the head of the head profile strip 20 clamps with its undercut rear sides the inner sides of the pincer jaws 18, 19 of the pincer profile strip 16, which are likewise undercut.
As can be seen from the cross-sections I-VII of FIG. 2, the following is achieved by this design of the slide: 1. The two profile strips 16 and 20 can turn freely and essentially uniformly on the slide. This means that no folds can form at the closing end of the sight glass, which means that the sight glass slows down in its movement. and to make a point; - it could be started.
2. Between the slide and the profile bars practically everywhere only a line contact occurs. As a result, the friction is reduced to a minimum, so that blocking of the slide cannot occur and no great effort is required to open or close the zipper.
3. The two profile strips do not touch each other during the insertion process. This in turn reduces friction.
4. Dimensional deviations can be compensated for both in the manufacture of the sieve and in the manufacture of the profiles. This is achieved in that in section V (FIG. 2e) the head profile is not pressed in by the ribs 8, 9 as far as the base of the tong profile. This contact only takes place in section VI (FIG. 2f) outside the slide.
Then the head profile bends back as a result of the elastic reaction and comes in the cut. VII (Fig. 2g) in the natural rest position.
In the Ausfühi-Ling according to FIGS. 3 and 5, instead of the guide ribs 8, 9 seen in Fig. 1, 2 and 4, the two pins 6, 7 are arranged symmetrically to the seat center plane, which in the lead-in area of the head profile in the pincer profile of the shell base and the shell top surface converge and form a gap 10 between them and serve to guide the flag 21 of the head profile strip 20.
This slide valve design is particularly suitable for zippers in which the head profile strip? 0 on the flag 21 is equipped with a central bead 22 (Fig. 5) for clasping the outside of the two pincer jaws 18, 19 in the closed state, with the web 23 between Head profile and central bulge 22 is guided in the gap 10 between the two pins 6, 7.
The operation of this slide is essentially the same as that in connexion with FIGS. 1, 2 and 4 described. Here, too, there is practically only a line contact between the slide and the profiles, but the pincer jaws 18, 19 opened by the rib 3 are not held open by the guide pins 6, 7. However, in order to ensure the proper introduction of the head profile into the pliers profile, this insertion is already done in the front part of the slide, seen in the closing direction, i.e. in the area where the pliers are widened sufficiently by the rib 3.
The rib 3 arranged on the web 1 can have the undercut 4 shown in FIG. 3 for better guidance of the pincer profile.
The slides described can be made of metal or plastic or also of organic materials such as wood, bone or the like using injection molding, stamping or pressing processes. The slide can consist of one piece or be composed of two halves.
The slider can be used for both separable and inseparable profile strips without having to make any changes to it. With separable profile strips, it is sufficient to clamp the two pliers of the pincer profile at one end of the strip welded or otherwise connected in such a way that the slider cannot slide off this profile, but the head profile can be inserted into the slider or pushed completely out of it in the same way as with the usual metal zippers.
